The first splash mountain ever opened, and the last splash Mountain to close in the US. I had the honor and privilege to work splash mountain so many memories you will be missed splash. THANK YOU splash Mountain. Also, Jim Varney is going to be taking one last ride on splash in spirit today.
I rode single rider on (5/29/23). The person in front of me was telling the group to salute for the photo for "our last ride". I decided to join them and when they were looking at the photo they were so excited to see that I had joined them and they even thanked me for making the photo even better. I hope they get to cherish that photo and the memories they made.
the girl screaming "NO NO NO" at 2:57 is my reaction towards the closure. I'm glad I was able to get my final ride in a couple weeks ago so the lines weren't too terrible. I'm gonna miss these singing audio-animatronic bastards to death.
The emotion is only hitting me now, I'll never hear "How do you dooo?" while giggling and screaming from inside a log ever again. It's brutal to see it go.
For me it’s not only the last day of one beloved ride. It’s two. Growing up my all time favorite ride was “America Sings”. Seeing the animatronics in Splash Mountain kept that ride around in a way. I think that’s why this closure is hitting me harder than I thought it would. We went to DL in 1/2023 and I paid super close attention to every detail because I knew it was going to be the last time I would see everything in person. 😢
I was there last night, it was such a bittersweet ending for this iconic and beautiful attraction, the first and original Splash Mountain! I'll never forget and always cherish the memories I have with Splash Mountain! I have made many new friends in person and online too, I've lost count and ridden Splash Mountain so many times with family and friends! I'll never forgive Disney for this terrible decision. Thank you to Tony Baxter for creating Splash Mountain! Love live, Splash Mountain!! We fans will never forget!
The fact that people all around keep saying they're gonna miss the original ride proves no one wanted it changed. I never see comments about how excited they are for the new change, only ones that state their sad for the old one leaving...
Just did my last splash a few hours ago. Used the single rider line to get through it in 45 minutes. Standby is 250 minutes now. Was 180 minutes around 1pm
Two weekends ago, my wife and I went to Disneyland for the first time. Splash Mountain was my favorite ride at WDW, so I feel incredibly blessed that I got to ride the Disneyland version twice before it closed, especially since the WDW version has been closed for months!
Yea my last ride on splash mountain was actually last summer with my family I always had fun memories of riding this ride with my family my first ever ride on splash Mountain at Disney World was back in 2015 and I instantly fell in love with this ride and I wrote it in total about 50 times I just can’t get enough of this right it is an absolute masterpiece and I am devastated that they have to take it away from us RIP splash Mountain
It thanks to POV videos like these that Splash Mountain will live forever. This ride will be missed and I hope Tokyo will keep theirs and only the US ones are the only ones changing.
Not until the retheme turns into a failure as predicted cause of it’s racist slavery references. It will only be a matter of time when the original would be forced to return where it belongs. We seen it happen like they did with the enchanted tiki room by putting the original theme as it was meant to be. It can even happen to Splash Mountain.
@@NickyHelp The retheme wont be a failure. Its getting rethemed to one of the most popular Disney princesses. Get a grip on reality and worry about issues that actually effect the world and not just your little snowflake mind
@@NickyHelpyes but we might need to wait a while after it as well tiki room is easier to remake than splash mountain as it’s gonna take over a year and also tiki room is only one room and some exterior
@@NickyHelp The same thing happened Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress. Too many changes had been made to the ride that the guests stopped riding the ride all together. So Disney restored the ride to it's original, including the theme song.
So sad that Splash Mountain at Disneyland will be gone forever. 😭😭😭 Well it's been 34 years since that ride opened. I hope that they're still doing it at Tokyo Disneyland.
Thank you for posting this video! Since I live in the Atlanta area, I'm grateful that I can still visit the home of journalist and Uncle Remus author Joel Chandler Harris at The Wren's Nest.
Despite being excited to see what Tiana's ride will be like, I'm glad Splash Mountain will live on in Tokyo. The one thing I will miss that Tokyo's version doesn't have is Disneyland's big band arrangments of the soundtrack. Tokyo has the country and western arrangments from Disney World, which are great in their own right, but those big band arrangments are where it's at!
Thankfully I got the Disney thrill rides die-cast vehicle of splash mountain before paying a more expensive price after the ride closing. R.I.P splash mountain.
David here from Sebring Florida I been a Disneyland fan and collector for over fifty years, Thanks for sharing this video. I remember when this first opened and I was excited to try it out. But I was surprised to find out that Disney would make this attraction and not release the movie. I think it would of made the ride experience even better! I think this is the first time in the history of the parks that they have done this. Any thoughts? Thanks 😊
Go to Tokyo Disneyland like I did last month! Splash Mountion will not close and you can ride pirates of the caribbean like it was when it first open, red hair woman for sale and all.
A real “Laughing, fun attraction” that sadly, Disney will never be able to replicate in some new “woke form.” RIP Splash Mountain. After being there to celebrate their 25th Birthday and other trips, We’re never returning to a Disney park. Way too much price gouging.
Disneyland closed the standby line for Splash Mountain on its last day of operation an hour before the park closed. Disney parks no longer compensate for lost park time when their rides break down. They do not enforce their own rules. I will never set foot in another Disney park.
Let’s hope tianas adventure is good because if it is insult then I will segue Disneyland I loved splash my last time I did the I really love you sign to say goodbye I will always remember it forever
The first & last time I rode Splash Mountain was last year. I rode WDW's version. I was afraid to go on this. I wish I ridden Disneyland's version before it closed. I'm glad my parents forced me to go on WDW's Splash.
Which version of Splash Mountain gets you the wettest, and why is the answer Disneyland?
Same

I have been there for the first and only time in 2015 and I watched every single drop for every single year. I'm so going to miss Splash Mountain.
The emotion is only hitting me now, I'll never hear "How do you dooo?" while giggling and screaming from inside a log ever again. It's brutal to see it go.
It was a legendary ride.
Would of loved to ride one last time. I will always have the memory of riding it with my mother-in-law last Oct. on her first ever Disneyland trip.
I’m glad I got to ride this last weekend‼️ Gonna miss you original Splash Mountain!! Had so much fun riding it these past couple years!!

I'm sad I never got one last ride. I haven't been to Disneyland since 2010.
This is probably the saddest ride closure I've experienced personally. Some of the happiest memories of my family growing up took place on this ride.
The fact that people all around keep saying they're gonna miss the original ride proves no one wanted it changed. I never see comments about how excited they are for the new change, only ones that state their sad for the old one leaving...
No I seen several actually say they are excited

remember to keep making a fuss and complaining about it
disney tried to get rid of figment once, lets make splash mountain go through the same path
I am so delighted that the cast members gave me an empty log for my last Splash ride on May 19th.
I swear they better keep some of the old animals in the retheme… gonna miss this ride

R.I.P my friend
Going to miss this had great memories with my pops on this ride!
I am going to miss Splash Mountain so much!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭
You can thank the commies for taking it away.
Tokyo: Am I a joke to you?
@@CrazyManhog Not everyone goes to Tokyo you know.
@@ethankleinman1067 That's why I'm rebuilding Splash Mountain in VR in a game it will exact to the ride and will return next year on Rec Room
@Ethan Kleinman and no it won't look like the crappy Roblox Splash Mountains
it’s sad that splash mountain is now closed forever that was a fun ride
Thank you splash mounatain for all the fun memories I am going to miss you
I'm going to miss Splash Mtn. Thanks for the video and the memories. Blessings! :)
5:00 why that guy so angry? I know that splash at Disneyland gets you drenched, but it’s just water
Probably because he got wet or is scared of the drop. If he didn't want to get wet, then he shouldn't have ridden the ride. 🙄
Thankfully I got the Disney thrill rides die-cast vehicle of splash mountain before paying a more expensive price after the ride closing. R.I.P splash mountain.
I went there with my kids last year. I didn't even know it would end, but thankfully they had a chance to experience it.
No matter how good Tiana’s bayou is, it will never replace splash :(
Time to visit Tokyo! or just visit Universal and give Disney a break....
R.I.P. Splashy 😢😢😢
I’m going to miss watching Splash mountain for Disneyland
There’s still one in Tokyo Disney right?
Yeah since Tokyo Disney sea is owned by the Oriental Land Company, they decide what ride stays as well as the construction of the rides
I managed to go one Splash Mountain one more time when I went to Disneyland earlier this May, and I had a blast.
Rip Disneyland's Splash Mountain
July 17, 1989 - May 31, 2023
🐰🦊🐻🐦🌊
I remember going on the Walt Disney World version in 2012.
Glad I got to ride it last week before it closes. Too bad - it's one of the single rider rides that they know how to do single rider correctly.
*BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE FOR TOKYO DISNEYLAND!!!!* :D ✨
It was MY laughing place... and now it's gone 😭
Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom had a lot more details along the briar patch

Did you guys get a LL? At what time did you guys ride?

THE LAST SPLASH!
Don’t have a good day
Have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah Day
The resolution is so clear I can smell the water xD
Wow its time lol. The birds at the ship are not in good shape haha. I would preferred it to be just renovated. Not rethemed.
So Long Splash Mountain 😭🌊⛰🏞🐻🦊🐰🪵
GOODBYE SPLASH MOUNTAIN!
RIP Splash Mountain. 😭
😢😢😢
very sad day for us Disneylanders
Rip Splash Mountain 😭🌊⛰🏞🐻🦊🐰🪵
Farewell Splash Mountain 😭🌊⛰🏞🐻🦊🐰🪵
Splash Mountain Are Closing 😭🌊⛰🐰🦊🐻🪵
My last ride was 5/6/23 I saw 6 frozen animations
The resolution is so clear that I can smell the bromine in the water.
Certainly a lot different less immersive than Walt Disney world there you haven’t got the view of a pirate ship in the framework 😂❤
Wow I forgot it closes today
Before princess and the Frog attraction called Tiana's bayou Adventure coming soon to Disneyland and Walt Disney World for 2024.
Coming soon to failure and unpopularity that is for its references to real slavery and racism.
I'm Surprised Adam the woo didn't show up 🤨
Splash Mountain Will Transform Into Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
A real “Laughing, fun attraction” that sadly, Disney will never be able to replicate in some new “woke form.”

Y’all act like they’re tearing the whole ride down 😂
Closing this is a huge mistake made to accommodate some grown babies. Terrible way to loose culture
I didn't know disneyland had this ride I never rode it before doesn't seem like too much fun I understand why its closing
