Who's here for the Haunted Mansion vibes at night??!! If you enjoy adventures at the Disney parks be sure to SUBSCRIBE for more high quality videos! Thanks for watching :)
My first trip through the Haunted Mansion was back in 1969. It scared the blank out of me... I was only 9 years old. Been to the Haunted Mansion in Walt Disney World. Excellent scary haunted mansion. My parents were Disney fans. Been to Disneyland in Anaheim a dozen times and Walt Disney World for the 3rd time. I am now retired & enjoy the good times.
1969? Wow I was born in 1989 and have been going to Disney since I was in diapers. Haunted mansion was ALWAYS my number 1 favorite ride. Disney has always been apart of me. Then in 2019, I had the greatest experience of a lifetime. I got to work for Disney through there internship. I’m now 35 with wonderful Disney stories to tell and still visit Disney. Lol and I have a haunted mansion tattoo of the candelabra.
@@PaulCozad - We lived an hour from WDW and went twice per month for years, first with our children, then with our grandchildren, all four parks. It was wonderful. We moved to another state a few years ago and went back to WDW 4 years ago. It’s changed and not for the better. I’m glad we went so many times when it was still magical. Too much Smart phone stuff. I love my iPhone but not for everything.
Haunted Mansion is one of those utterly classic Disney experiences from my early childhood somewhere back in the 1970's. The world building of that ride sticks with me in a way that lot of other rides didn't manage, though Pirates of the Caribbean certainly did. A big part of that was how the Imagineers handled set dressing well ahead of the moment of getting into that moving chair for the ride proper. Thanks for the nicely managed video.
Wow, this was so fun! I worked on Main Street in the summer of ‘88 and would go on this ride after work. Thank you for posting this! ❤ PS I don’t know how you did so steadily this but it’s kind of amazing.
As a student attending Wonderful Rollins College at nearby Winter Park in the early seventies .We got many 'Perks' from the relatively new Theme Park. This Haunted Mansion video takes me back to those hauntingly wistful days. Thank you. ❤🤗
So many memories for me. I remember going on this attraction on my first ever visit to Disneyworld back in 1974, 3 years after it originally opened. I was a young boy at 8 years old. At this time also, keep in mind that this was when park visitors had to purchase a ticket book, that contained individual tickets to ride all the attractions in the park. At the time, being a very curious person to always try and figure out how technology worked, I was easily able to figure out how the ballroom scene worked. In 1977, we moved from New Jersey down to South Florida, where I went through middle school and high school. We had visited Disney multiple times during those years. Having ridden this attraction during all those visits, not much had changed, maybe a small update here and there. Having moved up to Atlanta, GA for my college years, I never had any interest to go to Disney anymore. Then well after graduation, in 1990, Universal Studios opened in Orlando, FL, and started visiting that park, especially after Islands of Adventure opened in 1999. Fast forward to 2006, still living in Atlanta, our daughter being only 5 at the time, we decided to take her to Disneyworld for her first visit ever. Of course I had to take her on Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride, her first ride ever at Disney, which was also my first ride ever, when my dad took me on it when I was 8. It was a very proud and emotional day for me. Anyway, back to Haunted Mansion. My daughter did not want to ride Haunted mansion on her first visit, but on her 2nd visit of 5 to Disneyworld within 4 years, she decided she was brave enough. She thought it was the coolest ride ever. My ride through it was also very nostalgic for me. Many updates had been done since I was much younger. Now, in my late 50's, watching this video, makes me want to go back and ride it again in to see in person, all of the new technology added, along with the many original effects that still exist. Thank you for this great quality video.
This is the best video I’ve ever seen of the Haunted Mansion! I was there the last week in October and I couldn’t wait to go on this ride. It’s my favorite! ❤️ 👻 Your video made me feel like I was there again! 😃
Never been here in person, but there is a Gmod map based off this with all the audio and such and it brought me to look for real footage and it seems awesome
I have been through it at least 5 or 6 times on time I was very much alone they didn't have many visitors that day and most if the park was scarce to visitors that day I think because of the rainy day ???😮😅❤ When it thundered inside the ride you could feel the thunder outside the ride same as the⚡ lightning ⚡, that was intense 😮⚡☠️👍👻💀👽😍🤬💯🎉
Truly amazing how they do the ball room scene. Everything you see is a reflection of what is going on right below you as look out beyond the rail. It is a technology that is several hundred years old.
I worked that out when i first rode it at eight years old and trying to explain to people saying it’s like looking out of your window at night and seeing your reflection lit up and they couldn’t understand even when I got a light and shone it on my face and said look at my reflection in the window and it looks like I’m stood outside. Even when I worked in Disneyland Paris people would argue it’s holograms. It’s not several hundred years old technique as you need to light the subjects you want to appear and disappear as ghosts and electric bulbs only became in use 150 years ago!
@TayWoode actually it is a technique called phantasmagoria...then later perfected to Peppers Ghost. It has been around since the at least the 1850s which predates the electric bulb by decades. If you are going to be a know it all and correct people, at least know what the hell you are talking about.
I still can't believe they put the Hatbox Ghost before Madame Leota... That's Disney just straight up not giving a f*ck because they think the audience is stupid 😆
Firstly, I've ridden Haunted Mansion probably fifty times since I was a little boy when it opened in '71 and I've never tried to follow a narrative. It's a fantastic dark ride with stunning effects. And secondly, we see a ghost playing the piano at the start of the ride.
Yeah but the narrative is still Important to the ride whether you think so or not Putting the hat box ghost before the seance scene is on par with riding Peter pans flight and seeing a Captain Hook animatronic in the Darling nursery Furthermore why remove the hanging corpse?! Now it’s just an empty attic?! What was YOUR way out, sir? They didn’t bother to replace it when anything at all This is exactly what the problem: no care whatsoever was taken
Oh one of the pictures had this ride on it . I would like my stuff back even after all these years . They were mine and not meant for anyone else Thanks and may I say people like this . They have a special place for once you're gone .
My absolute favourite Disney attraction. I hope they never try to change it like they did Pirates Of The Caribbean. I hate the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay they do. Nightmare just needs its own attraction.
This was an awesome ride . I had a photo album made just for me . And one of my x es and his family kept everything on me. All my stuff from my childhood my windup Pluto has him since I was visiting the Disney world with my mom and dad . He was the only thing I had from my dad . I pray I can forgive and one return with my grandbabies to create new memories than that of thieves .
Loved the video but disappointed that you didn’t show the ghosts sitting beside you at the end of the ride. You turned the camera away. This was my granddaughter’s favourite part…she thought a ghost was actually sitting there. If you’re worried about ID you could have blurred your faces.
They did If they thought it was inappropriate for children they could put a content warning in the advertisements. Or hell, replace it with SOMETHING; what is this supposed to imply?
I wish someone would walk around the building where the actual ride occurs, and videotape all of it from the outside during the day. Guests don't ride thru the mansion they see in front. That's just a facade.
He's in the attic in Anaheim. In Florida (for no good reason in my opinion) they put him next to the endless hallway... but at least he's in the mansion?
man Disney just really doesnt put much thought into stuff anymore do they? That location for the Hatbox Ghost makes NO sense whatso ever with the story, and to think in a few years when youre in line for the Haunted Mansion instead of the dark river next to you youll have cars zippin around a dirty track right next to the mansion totally killing the whole feeling.
It should be in the attic like in the Disney land. But if there’s no space or proper power source then at least put in the ballroom or the cemetery: some point on the ride AFTER the seance Any fully materialized ghosts appearing before that scene conflicts entirely with the ride’s own narrative, that of which the host is spouting as you go

I’ve been on that ride over 100 times, it never gets old.
Where would you put it or do you think they shouldn't have added the hatbox ghost at all?
