Boydsfishinglife , I make and sell a lot of jig and other baits and I am so happy I found your channel and seen this idea . I never send a bait out with the eye painted and baked , I find it very disrespectful to my customers to not clean the eye !!!!
Great job I'm new here can you tell me the temperature of your heat gun mine has A digital read out. What should I set it on also during your tempering process in the oven? What kind of temperatures do you use there? Thanks for sharing.I'm gonna make one of these if you don't mind
Not sure the temp on the heat gun. But the oven is set to 350 and monitor depending on the powder coat thickness. If you leave too long it will burn and discolor. Baking isn’t even necessary but helps harden the coat to protect against chipping.
Honestly I don’t remember but any size should work. The one I was using is way overkill. But that’s why you put the little valve in line so you can regulate the air flow.

Very impressive. But please, how can this be adapted to to a gun/cup system? Thnx
Johnnie K never used one.
Hey! Amazing video! I am organizing the material to build one 🔥 just a question, what kind of paper are you using?
watch the video again he tells you to use ordinary printer paper so that would equate to 80 gsm paper, no idea in imperial.
@@spiritburners thanks a lot!!
thanks , why do you need to powder coat the weights? because you can or .....?
You don’t have to. But if you trying to match a specific color then that’s one way to do it
What do u think about fluid bed over a speaker diaphragm ? Can enjoy music while working 🤣
Probably could work. Something to break it up in the cup
@@boydsfishinglife3102 better off with a crystal oscillator probably but this is way cheaper....
@@spiritburners yeah was trying do on the cheap. But that’s a great idea
is it ordinary paper? is it leaking air or just vibrating?
is it ordinary paper? is it leaking air or just vibrating?
Yes just regular printer paper. The air pushes through the paper.
What temp heat gun?
Sorry to get back so late. But not sure the heat of the heat gun. Don’t get to close or it will burn the powder coat
Nice, what temperature do you use and for how long do you put them in your lil oven for.? I like the video.
300-350 degrees for 15 min
@@boydsfishinglife3102 why do you have to cure them afterwards in a oven?
@@spiritburners it hardens the powedercoat so it doesn’t chip off as easy
@@boydsfishinglife3102 thanks, I wondered that. Your Lures/Jigs look great.
What size pump are you using
