Great info brother👍
Thanks for watching!
I started to smile when you talked about too much paint ... cause when I go to bake my Jig Heads in a small tiny oven thing, the paint drips, and when I made some UnderSpin Jig heads with the DoIt Mold Hearing, it'd make/form a drip at the nose part, out of 10 I did prolly 3 had this drip nose and actually looked interesting and still catch fish on em but little things that you learn along the way make for interesting stuff
Oh for sure! That’s too much paint! As long as they catch fish, who cares right! Ha
I hold the eye with needle nose vise grips. This prevents the eye from getting plugged up with paint.
Another great video bud a lot of great info and will help a lot of people out
Awesome! Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching! I hope it will help!
Outstanding tips!!!
You sound a little stuffy. Hope you are feeling better
Thanks. Was dealing with a cold, but back to normal now
Sometimes when baking them the eye closes up and makes them useless. So I've learned to put in a piece of paper clip in the eye while they bake and then it does not close up.
That’s a good option. Usually when the eyes close up it’s due to having too much paint or not cleaning the eye out before baking.
How do you clean out the eye?
I use an “eye buster tool” to get the bulk out and then I use a hook point to finely clean it out. Takes a couple seconds. You must clean out the eye before baking the paint!
I use electrical shrink wrap!
@Sgt6217 i know a lot of people that do that. Haven’t tried it myself yet
How do you clean the eye loop?
I use an eye buster tool
Where do you buy your lead?
Normally I’m able to find some for free or buy from a recycling center. You can also get lead from DoIt Molds: store.do-itmolds.com/?AffId=5
you can cut the lead off the jighead. Reuse the hook and re-pour the lead. Been doing that for years.
I just melt the lead off the hook and reuse
