    Does the plastic filter keep the paint in the pvc tube if I choose to make separate tubes for each color? Or do I need to cover the filter end of the tube when I am storing the tube?

    • @B8N_Tackle

    • @rider660r
      @rider660r ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why in the world wouldn't you have to cover the filter you cover the top don't you? There is no on and off switch to let/keep air from passing through it and bringing humidity along for the ride....
      Yes you better cover it or else sooner or later you're going to have bad paint.
      I've found the best filter material,cost around $7 for a whole 27x30" +/- sheet that you will not poke holes through. I've made like 20 or so for 3" fluidbeds and can probably get a dozen yet for 2".

    • @B8N_Tackle
      @B8N_Tackle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey bud, I tried emptying one of those cups, very minimal paint in the disc and you could easily switch colors. One side of the disc is smooth, that is the side I put toward the paint. The other side is porous and definetely would hold paint.

  • @rider660r

    I've looked around their site a few different times for other things,but have always found it cheaper elsewhere. Their site isn't all that great either. Then on top of that you have to email them to order those,probably ridiculously priced too.
    I've found a material about 3 yrs ago that probably works as well or maybe better than those and it's only around $7 a sheet that's +/- 27x30". You won't poke holes in it either unless you sharpen something and poke it though and even then you're going to have to add some force to do that.
    It's also hard to really take word from folks who are still buying and using overpriced Protec and those other "special" fishing powder paints. There's only a few actual Power Paint manufacturers in the US and a few others in the world. You don't think these places like Protec,etc. buy from them and rebrand it and then jack the price to sell to you......? I get all my paints from 2 of these Mfg. and the 10-11 basic colors are only around $8-14 for a whole pound of paint. The other 6500+ colors you can get or make is anywhere from $10 to maybe $60 now per pound even for the vein,wrinkle,illusion,wet,transparent,changing,etc. over the basic gloss,satin,or flats and usually once a month they have specials from free colors to swatches... Don't see that many colors or specials from Protec and those other frauds. The other colors don't really matter though. Those other colors are really intended catch your green more than it is fish,fish are perfectly fine with the 10-11 basic colors and more often hit a plain old unpainted head.
    I won't even mention the laugh I had while watching the glue up..... but I had a good time watching something that has a simple solution and then throwing it out the window.....lol
