pro tip, any monitor that doesnt have a one OD setting and its 240hz plus you can just turn off Adaptive setting. at those high refresh rates you wont see any lines. this is how i use this monitor.
hmmm it can still feel stutterish and tearish at times I think a better solution is forcing the monitor to LFC at 120hz :) It isn't perfect but it's better than nothing To be able to ditch VRR completely with no artifacts to speak of we'd need much higher refresh rates. The Blur Buster's chief talks of a value around 4000hz

You should review the upcoming ROG Swift PG27AQDM monitor that is coming next year! it has an oled panel with 240 Hz :) and hopefully its better than the one LG came with..

You should review the NXEDG27240-x. It's an underrated monitor that's also 240hz at 1440p. I have it myself and have no conplaints. There was no problem with it on arrival and pixels weren't dead

From an engineerubg point of view this looks to be a reference monitor. the ref is 700x1244 actual pixel count what FHD should have been in the first place. price of this quality level in 2024 are now going to $269 USH thanks to Walmart ONN offering! !

Considering I'm getting a 7800x3d + 4080 SUPER, should I pick this monitor to use with VRR? Looking at playing AAA games on Ultra, it takes around 170 fps.
Is the shift from 170hz to 240hz legitimately worth over a hundred dollars more? Everywhere I look says the difference between even 144hz and 240hz is almost imperceptible.
it depends on what you plan on doing with it. For most people, the difference doesn't really matter but I see that pro gamers and people at high levels of competitive gameplay notice the gap a lot more and find it to be worth the price.
Im late as fuck but the difference is still noticable. in 144 you still can somewhat tell each individual frame apart. 240 looks like irl movement to me, perfectly smooth.
@@vyvynylification You can see the difference clearly in a boomer shooter like Forgive Me Father. In 144hz the game looks smooth, but slightly stuttery when moving sideways. 240 removes that stutter, its great.

I picked it up on Black Friday for $380 HIGHLY recommend this monitor! It’s great! Just be aware that playing games at 60hz you may suffer from ghosting. But at higher Fps games will be great!
@@DeltaPrime95 some games single player games don’t exceed 60 frames. Trust, if I could somehow upcapp all fps on my games I would lol. Like apex only runs at 144… which is okay but it still sucks knowing your pc and monitor can produce more fps.
@@nathanieltyghe4526 could be also regularly check what hertz your monitor is at in the monitor settings. It sometimes changes back to 60. You can also download a driver for your monitor which is neat. It will update it.

Got this monitor a week ago. Just noticed that my wallpaper "burned" into the screen and when displaying grayscales when playing video games etc i am seeing the wallpaper as well as icons. Is this normal? Monitor hasn't been used for almost 12 hours and still seeing the "image retention / burn-in". What can I do? Should I send it back? It's a pity since I really liked it on first impressions
I am really late in replying to this comment, but for anyone else that encounters this problem, it's a faulty monitor and you should return it. It happened to me to my previous monitor that I bought, and I replaced it with this one.
I went from 21.5 inch 1080p 60hz to this monitor. 240 hz was fun for an hour. Quality control is really bad. Your monitor migh come with some subtle issue. I had lines on the left side of the monitor. Very annying. Also it is very blury. Colors are amazing tho. Very much enjoed that aspect of the monitor. Overshoot, ghosting was beyond annoying. I would go back to 60hz any day.
A great monitor ruined by shitty build quality. My screen started showing permanent red and blue lines after four months. Had to send it back for warranty and it has been weeks without the monitor while they "assess the fault". Fuck Gigabyte. I'm never buying from them again.

Not sure how it ranks with the MSI but the m27q-P sits between the m27q-X and the standard m27q model but mostly leans lower towards the m27q.

When I switched to this monitor coming from a 1440p 144hz benq the speed difference was quite surprising. I mainly noticed this with fast pace games.
