    This makes me so angry. How can you have an animal that is capable of doing such damage. Now this poor woman has potentially lost the use of her dominant arm forever so awful. The owner should be procecuted and do prison time for negligence. I'd like to see some interviews of owners who have witnessed their dogs attack people and see what they have to say for themselves.

      So many people will happily take videos of anything, be it horrific, funny, bizarre, despicable, personal or about someone else, and then publish them on the platform of their choice UNTIL someone comes along and tells them, because they've filmed an aggression in which they were the victim, what they're doing isn't right.
      There seems to be no solution to this recurring problem. We have had that with George Floyd, the Nigerian disabled man who got strangled in Italy and countless of aggressions about everywhere in the world.
      Moreover, mobile phones can turn anyone into an informer, without them even knowing it. That reminds me of the English government during WWII that had asked the English people to take as many pictures of the area where the soldiers would be manoeuvring for the D-Day landing. The army staff only had to piece the thousands of photos together to obtain the best map of the location. So it is about individuals.

      Exactly ! And I am absolutely sick of seeing these dogs taken onto public transport .. amongst SO many other travellers.
      Sometimes .. especially if the bus is very crowded ... the owners & their dogs have to sit very close to another passenger ... which is very unnerving... (especially if a long journey ! )
      Many times I have been on public transport when these dogs have been allowed to get on ... and
      most seem to start off ok .. but it's not long before they start to get restless & then they start becoming increasingly agitated, barking and jumping up at windows close by.
      I have frequently seen this occur & it seems that once they have become agitated ... they do not appear to calm down again for the rest of the journey !
      On one occasion a young girl got on a bus with one of these dogs .. she
      ALSO had a toddler in a pram with her too ! This young girl had her right hand bandaged up & she was holding the dog lead in her left hand.
      The dog became very restless, was barking & trying to jump up at the widows. The young girl was really struggling to keep hold of the lead.
      I MEAN .. all this & with a toddler in tow too !!!
      If this isn't being imature and totally irresponsible then I really don't know what is ?
      SO MUCH could have gone badly wrong here ! And this was for a journey of half a hour too !
      Passengers are literally TRAPPED in an enclosed space in situations like this !
      These dogs should not be allowed on public transport & especially without being muzzled.

    Poor lady this is tragic and thank God it didn’t end up worse. The scariest thing is when a random dog comes up to me the owner seems to think it’s ok and gives me the “oh he won’t do anything line”.
    How is that acceptable? He’s your dog, why would I want him near me. I’m even scared when I go out with my toddler because of random dogs not being on a leash or muzzled as the owners think more about their dogs then humanity. Put tougher laws in place. Why not leash and muzzle all dogs in public to keep our children safer.

The owner does nothing and I call my dog and choose to leave. My dog is very powerful but well-trained, muzzled, and on a leash most of the time. It's very important who owns the dog

I got bit by a French and the lady did nothing the dog was off leash and ran up to me I put my hand down to say hi and he bit me the owner did nothing not even an apology.
    I agree that these dogs need muzzles as they pose a potential threat and are very hard to control once they switch.

Any dogs then of that type of breed are all branded as dangerous, XL or not. To have a dog you need to be a responsible owner but unfortunately a lot of people who feel the need to own these dogs are not. I know they had good intentions but come on, priorities. I wish Lakaydia Reynolds all the best and fingers crossed the pain goes away in the future and she gets full use of her arm and hand back. Only one was a XL bully. Bannig the breed is a lazy fix. Dog licences should be needed for any dog with the potential to cause harm. Threshold should be higher with breeds known to cause more injury.
    A ban demonises responsible owners and pushes the issue to another breed in the making. We'll be in the same boat 5 years from now.

    • @GretsGarbo

      How is having a dog license going to make any difference? It's nothing to do with responsible owners, it about keeping the public safe. Nobody who owns one of these dogs is a responsible owner. It's highly irresponsible to own one of these dogs.

    • @metaliris6404
      @metaliris6404 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @GretsGarbo how is banning them going to make any difference? It won't. At least with a license they can be more regulated and behavioural checks in place and avoid more people hiding their bully's away. Pits are banned but I know numerous people that still own them. Banning does nothing

    • @LDNballer
      @LDNballer 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @GretsGarbo what about the other two dogs? We ban that breed too? There was a death by rottweiler last month...let's ban that too, couple husky deaths this year let's ban them too...banning does not stop dog attacks, unless we ban every large dog. how about we stop being lazy and come up with effective solutions.
      Dogs are domestic animals meaning it's within our capability to control them. People who can't or won't should not own them.

      @@LDNballer LDNball, I don't go by one or two isolated cases. I go by facts and figures. 90% of all fatal dog attacks are caused by pit bulls or their hybrids. They represent only 1% of the whole dog population. The facts show that people can't control them. Your are accusing innocent people of being lazy in trying to find a solution for these unnecessary deaths and injuries, and suffering. Why should they come up with a better solution when there already is one. They are not being lazy, it's not their responsibility. If the people who want to own these dogs can't find a better solution (which they obviously can't because the number of fatal attacks are increasing), well then, the rest of us have to find a solution - which is ban them.
