“These Dogs Are NOT Right In The Head!” | Panel Calls For ‘Dog Licences’ To Be Brought Back

  • Home Secretary Suella Braverman is pushing for a ban on American bully XL dogs, arguing they are a “clear and lethal danger”, particularly to children.
    The Cabinet minister announced she has commissioned “urgent advice” on outlawing the dogs after she highlighted an “appalling” attack on an 11-year-old girl in Birmingham.
    However, adding dogs to the banned list is the responsibility of Environment Secretary Therese Coffey’s department, where the PA news agency understands there are concerns over the feasibility of adding the American Bully.
    TalkTV’s Penny Smith and Daisy McAndrew say it is time for “dog licences” to be brought back after an American XL bully dog attacked multiple people in Birmingham.
    Daisy: “These dogs are not right in the head.”

      I’ve been listening to pros and cons about these dogs and other big breeds .
      They should make anyone who wants to own a dog with this power , take lessons in how to train and control them . This is the only way you will get responsibility . Most of the big breeds are used by young men using them as an ego trip and there is no way they can control these dogs . They were apparently bred to fight and kill other dogs and unfortunately this is in their make up . Also the dogs get passed around different people and never seem to have the same owner for a long period.
      All dogs can bite and attack but if these dogs do that it’s lethal . Not all of these dogs will be bad and that is the sad thing . They have been exploited and now they are not able to be controlled

    I am an animal lover , but to be honest these dogs scare me . If the owner is only wanting them for an ego trip and doesn’t know how to control and train them , they are deadly. It’s not the dogs fault, it’s the way they have been bred to kill other dogs and to them it’s just a step up to killing a human being . All dogs can be aggressive , but like my wee Bobby even if he was going to attack, he is not big enough or strong enough to cause any harm . License will not solve. These are banned breeds and these dogs should wear a muzzle when in public, and the owners just simply DO NOT respect that despite knowing there are fines. So attacks are imminent despite all of that

    • @knoxieman
      @knoxieman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Muzzles will help that's for sure but it needs to be coupled with laws because the bad owners will ignore it, if an owner is in public with an un muzzled dog they need to issue fines to the owner and remove the dog from the owner then the owner must pay an extra fee to get the dog back, your not going to stop every incident but it would really reduce the severity of attacks, remember most dog attacks are on other dogs not people.

    No dog should be banned but maybe all dogs should be muzzled whilst out side the house,licensed and also insured that goes from little yappy tea cup yorkies right through to the biggest mastiff that way a dog can be off lease in a safe place without the danger of attacks, and anybody found not following these rules should have the dog seized and have to pay a big fine to get the dog back and if any dog no matter the size bites a member of the public because its not muzzled they should face a mandatory prison sentance , my dog is hig but incredibly gentle but id be happy to follow these rules if it ment the public where safe from all dogs and my dog was safe from yappy little dogs

    all dogs are related to wolves so deep down they all still retain their wild natural instinct and you can see that, how many times do you see your pooch trying to bury food or a bone in his bed . any dog can bite but but most breeds cant kill a human or child unlike these large and powerful dangerous breeds.

    Dog licences? Don`t make me laugh! We have a so called microchipping law that is in chaos! You can imagine what will happen.Only the responsible will buy them.The same as only the responsible get their dogs chipped AND keep the details up to date.The fees from the original dog licence went into the treasury. Where will the fees go if the licence is reinstated?

    Why discriminate Xl bullys. My xl bully is quiet as a mouse and doesn't even bark. Jack Russells and shitzus are the problem they never shut up barking.
