I welcome you all to my channel Blue Aquatics.
This video is on a very interesting topic. If you are a proud Flowerhorn Fish owner, then you must watch this video, and I suggest you never do these activities with your Flowerhorn Fish otherwise, your Flowerhorn Fish life is at a big risk.
But before starting this topic, let me tell you something special about Flowerhorn Fish.
Flowerhorn Fish owners are not just proud of its beauty but also proud of its activities. As the Flowerhorn Fish is extremely naughty, I had seen him picking up stones from one end of the aquarium and throwing at the other end and displacing all the decorations done in the Aquarium by the owner.
So this was a short introduction about the flowerhorn fish. Let's come back to the main topic that What a Flowerhorn Fish owner should never do after keeping a Flowerhorn Fish.
1. The first point is Big Aquarium: Flowerhorn Fish requires a big aquarium with a lot of free space for swimming. If you cant give your flowerhorn a big space then don't buy this fish.
2. Water Parameters: Flowerhorn Fish requires a water temperature between 25°C (77°F) and 30°C (86°F). Next, the pH value is also very important because acid water can tone down fish colors and make it sick, the standard water condition for Aquarium Fish is light alkaline water, with a pH between 7 and 8.
3. Special Food: Flowerhorn Fish requires good quality protein food. It provides your flowerhorn with excellent nutrition. Provide food that is specially made for Flowerhorn Fish and has a protein content of more than 40%. Don't try to feed him extra protein all the time as it can be harmful to your flowerhorn.
4. Heaters: Guys always use Heater in your Aquarium. This helps in making your aquarium water consistent. In Summers you can set the heater at 25 degrees Celcius in your aquarium and in Winters you can set the heater at 28 degrees Celcius.
5. Decorations: Guys, adding decorations in the Flowerhorn tank is never recommended. But if you still want to add then be sure, as well, that all the decorations do not make the tank cleaning too much difficult. As you know Flowerhorn Fish is very aggressive and it's quite risky if you try to take out any decoration for cleaning.
6. Medicine: When your Flowerhorn Fish falls ill, you should first move it to the small tank. Monitor your Flowerhorn Fish closely before starting its treatment. Make sure the treatment you are going to follow for your Flowerhorn Fish is the treatment that is required. Take some time to diagnose properly and then select the treatment for your Flowerhorn as it is related to your beloved Flowerhorn life.
7. Live Food: There are different opinions on the feeding of live food to your Flowerhorn Fish. Some Flowerhorn owners love to feed live food to their Flowerhorn while others only feed Pellets. Live food can be a small fish, worms, crickets, beetles, and cockroaches. So feeding live food can be a bit risky.
8. Fish in Partition: Guys don't add any fish in a partition with your Flowerhorn Fish. This is due to the reason that there are some diseases like Hexamita and Ich which can be spread very easily. If anyone of your Fish in the partition has this disease then it can be spread to other fish as well very easily.
9. Keeping in a community tank: The Flowerhorn Fish is not considered as a good tank mate for any other fish. Being large and aggressive it is better not to house it with other fish species, especially if other fishes are smaller. If you still want to keep your flowerhorn in the community then the tank size should be large enough and has enough space for other fishes to swim freely without getting attacked by flowerhorn fish. The main issue in keeping flowerhorn fish in a community tank is that the flowerhorn fish will not get bright colors.
10. Complete Water Change: Be careful while doing a water change. Never do 100% of water change. By doing a complete water change you are killing your tank nitrogen cycle. Daily I get many inquiries from Flowerhorn Fish owners that their fish is lying at the bottom of the tank and upon asking they tell that they did 100% water change.
11. Filters and filtration: Water filtration is really important because this big fish produces lots of waste, increasing nitrite and nitrate levels in the water. You can choose a sponge filter in your flowerhorn tank. The biological part in your aquarium must work properly, so be sure to have a well-activated aquarium before housing a Flowerhorn cichlid.
Conclusion:
Always check your Flowerhorn Fish health regularly. The best time to check is at the time of feeding. Always follow all these points discussed if you are a flowerhorn owner or thinking of purchasing a new flowerhorn.

Power filter and sponge dono lgalo. Sponge 24 hours k liye chlao and power filter ko 3-4 hours in a day.

Yes it can live in this tank..but its better to have a tank having length 3 feet or more..
As these are fast swimmers, so if lenth is small, then they can bang their head on glass..
