Just bought one of these! Wish I had your weather to ride right now. Nice choice!
Traded my 2020 Tracer 900GT for this exact same bike.I've only put 300 miles on it; too cold to ride, lately. Can't wait to break it in, and change the oil. So far, I love it.
Never to cold for a true rider
Great review
I have the same bike! Look into a puig sport screen. It's a bit shorter and a different shape and it doesn't make that "blade of air" to the helmet at highway speeds that can be annoying. Enjoy in good health! This bike is an amazing machine!
Bro you were funny af in that movie Napoleon Dynamite, lol. I used to wear your “vote for Pedro” T shirt 😂
Wow! Impressive Big bike ❤❤❤
Beautiful color ❤
I've got the same jacket, good stuff
do you ride without the traction control? I just bought the same one and wondering,i keep mine in A mode but still playing with traction mode.I couldn't tell on the video.
What BMW bike did you have before this bike?
well done! good decision! could be my 3rd suzuki after my first kawasaki :D
How long are you able to ride at once.. we typically ride 4 to 5 hours.. is it possible with this bike?
Hi
I have the taller Suzuki screen really good takes a lot of the wind noise away but does not look that good. Standard tyres are poor fit metzeler z8 great and last well transforms the handling
What is the difference between the 2024 and the 2022 model?
Where did you get that red matching tank scuff gaurd? It matches the bike really well!
I’d like to know as well please
Not red, it is Just clear tank pad from revzilla lol
@@SoloMCRider cheers
CAREUD TPMS protects you with smooth and happy motorbike travel!
Is it easy to take the hard cases on/off with the tail tidy installed?
No impact on the hard cases 👍
I wonder if there’s changes between the 22,23,24 models . Any thoughts?
22-24 model years are very much same bikes, I haven’t done any extensive research 🧐 I believe they are same .
I have owned one of these bikes since april 2022 one of the fist registered in Scotland done 12000 miles only used in summer been riding for 53 years this is the best bike I have ever owned good points engine engine engine lol comfy fast looks bad points front brakes get one you will not be disapointed
If you replace the pads with a more aggressive compound, it improves initial bite and performance.
I will thanks
That's an other 400 miles today love this bike
Great bike for the price. Hands down. I would buy this one before spending so much on BMW RT. However, windscreen should be electric and why not drive shaft? Easy for Suzuki to do.
Suzuki should have put the same semiactive suspension on this they did on the GX+. "Fully adjustible KYB suspension," whatever.
May i know ur jacket name . Like it !
And gloves 😅
Brand is Revit it’s a budget brand lol!
What is this little blue dot on display? Are you running on beam lights?
seems yes, else it will only have 1 side glowing,
Yes, happy to blind oncoming drivers
This bike was on my short list but I've seen enough reports of timing chain tick that it's got me a little nervous. Awesome looking bike though.
bought the 2023 model has 17800mi on it in less than a year. Did all my own maintenance including valve inspection. Everything was in spec. Zero issues with the bike, never left me stranded, always started in cold weather down to 28F, installed the OEM heated grips recently and they get hot as hell. The bike is reliable, nothing to worry about. No bike is perfect but this bike wont leave you stranded if you keep up with your maintenance.
@@esjihnThat's good to hear, though in all the reports I've seen the bike was still reliable people were just concerned to hear that on a new machine. I think it's by far the best looking of the sport tourers and most reasonably priced. The Ninja sx is good but after bags can get a bit pricey and doesn't look as cool either.
@@ninji5226 not to mention all kawasakis are heavy. 1000sx adds iirc another 30lbs. Test rode one at the kawasaki demo they had up here. Did not feel as quick and you do feel that weight but overall it has kawasaki smoothness and of course proprietary kawasaki neutral is lightyears beyond other mfg. Afterthought to find neutral but id still take my 1000GT over it for sure.
Yeah I'm looking to maybe get this bike and I see these videos of people having the chain rattle or whatever it is and it scares me because I know good maintenance isn't hard but sometimes it isn't enough, I'll just have to get extended warranty if anything and hope for the best
@@nativeoutdoors1780 after 2 weeks this bike is now close to 20K mi on the odometer with the original stock timing chain. I wouldn't worry about it.
looks like on the screen some lights turn on when you speed up, what are they? FYI blurr out your speedo.
Why does he need to blur out his speedo ? If he’s speeding so what, that’s what bikes are for ??
This becomes evidence of you breaking the law. This effects many aspects of your life. Insurance , tickets points in your license. There is always someone scrupulous enough to turn you in or complain.
Saying that, that’s what the bike is for speeding implies disregard for others safety and your own.
I’d rather not be the one scraping you off the road. I have done it a few times.
But if it’s your bike , you do you. This will only resonate when it effects you. Ride safe
Lights on the screen are shift light!
Thanks mate, ride safe!
Small windscreen. Does it move up and down?
Nice! Now I want to trade my Z900 and its partly your fault! Lol! Good vid!
Trust me you won’t be disappointed lol
Oddly, I traded my Z900 for the 2024 Suzuki GSX S1000GT+ in the same color. Z900 was perfect, but I have been doing more long rides lately and wanted something that met those needs. Zero regrets!
Ha, the Z900 was my bike of choice, but my local dealer tried to screw me. Ended up on an MT09, then a Tracer 900GT. Just traded 1 month ago for the GSXS 100GT+. No looking back.
I love my Z900 and if I had unlimited funds I'd keep it and buy the Gsxs!
😂😂😂😂 never mind. I watched more of the video, and you mentioned touring.
What was about the GT that made you choose it over the GX?
I think the GT has a lower seat height
@@korazon3spinado it does, but there’s not much in it. I”m barely 5”9 and I can get my feet on the ground on the GX, not flat but enough, and I think there’s a lowered seat height position on the GX - but not 100% sure on that.
GT as lower seat, price is lower too because they put a semi active suspension on the GX. GT is more sporty ergo, GX is more upright. GX has a center stand for maintenance on multiple days rides. The rest is basically the same.
@@nicolas277 yeah, I’m test riding both back to back later this year along with the tracer GT 9 plus, pretty sure one of those three will be my new bike, most likely the GX, which doesn’t come with a centre stand by the way, it’s an accessory, which is odd given the bikes class, but I don’t like centre stands, so that bit doesn’t bother me.
The GT looks sporty, the Gx doesn't. It looks like a soft ADV.
Stop signs - am I just a joke to you?
No hydro clutch
Nice man! Do you plan on actually touring with this one, or is it more for comfort?
Its serves both purposes and definitely for touring:)
Thanks
Wind Screen? Seems to be quite noisy… especially for long-term touring?
Congrats. I think this video is the first GT+ I’ve seen with a tail tidy. Looks great. I’m going to buy one! I also have the Evotech sliders. Put 3k miles on my 2023 Triton blue GT+ this year. The GT is definitely more sport than touring except for the front brake. It has plenty of stopping power. The extra take-up on the lever action and progressive feel is good for 2-up riding and passenger comfort. I don’t know if this is a happy accident or Suzuki engineered the braking system this way, but I’ve adapted to the brakes and they are perfectly fine riding at a quick pace in the twisties. I got used to the dash/fuel gauge too. I couldn’t see what TC level you had selected. Agree that the front end gets light but I think in a controlled way, which is the bike’s character, rather than loop out or sit on the rear wheel and wheelie forever. This bike is stupid fast but smooth and predictable, comfortable, handles great, lots of features, great price and has been dead reliable and I’m pretty sure it’s going to stay this way. Love the red color btw. Saw one on a showroom floor a few months ago.
@@whitneyestate1402 I wonder if there’s changes between the 22,23,24 models . Any thoughts?
@@iMrWaNTeD except for colorway, all the model years are identical. With the 2024 GSXS GX released, hoping that Suzuki will update the 2025 GSXS GT with a similar version of the electronic suspension and IMU fitted to the GX.
Not good for two people I've heard
Turn your highbeams off.
I was told by an instructor to keep it on during daytime as it doesn't blind anyone and makes you more visible. Also looks better because, like my 2006 FZ6, it closes an eye without the highbeam on 😅
Hibeams are better for safety. Cars and Big Rigs pay more attention to you. And of course, it looks better.
We are motorcycle riders, so for safety’s sake, high beams ON during daytime. If you want to ride with low beams, suit yourself.
I leave mine on always
