Brilliantly epic catches there - nice range of vehicles! Really cool that. Love the HazMat Unit 2 vehicle - bus like!
Here in the UK most normal Pumps (Engines) deal with HazMat incidents but we do have Environmental Protection Units and Mass Decontamination Incident Response Units too.
Bigger fire services also have detection units.
The Environmental and Mass Decon are very very rare to catch. I've only caught the Mass Decon. unit once on sirens and lights - nobody else has. Usually for seriously major incidents.
Hazmat guys are awesome
Great catch!
I dont know if anyone caught this also, but why did they all wait for each other? Wouldn't they go to the scene immediately? I'm wondering if they have a policy where they all have to respond together and not leave the pack. Anyone else notice that also? Let me know if you have any information on this, I'm really curious.
An entire station dedicated to Hazmat? That's cool! Nice catch!
Philly has a lot of refineries and other chemical plants. There are actually a couple Hazmat companies there. They have some awesome equipment.
Mathew Festoff That would make sense... Thanks!
Nice
Or they should just tranfer ladder 19 -2- squad 47's house. So they could just run the HAZ-MAT station just 4 HAZ-MAT.
is Foam 60 basically an engine with foam capabilities and special stuff along those lines?
Talk about a full house response. Nice job
I should have seen what they went three in the 80'a with their old station that's when the truck were referred as chemical units with good old international foam 169.But with the old station 2 bay.
love the hazmat rig great video
Nice Job Ron Roberts
What a great Turnout.
I wish all turnouts were like this lol
It's the local parade... Out again..... LOL
Nice CATCH!
Nice catch & nice trucks
The station is not all hazmat units, ladder 19 and medic 37 are also housed there.
Philadelphia should make this just a HAZ-MAT station.1 reason when ever HAZ-MAT 1 is deployed ladder 19 is outta service.& if ladder 19 is in service & they r on a job & their is a HAZ-MAT call hazmat 1 is on hold or they have 2 go back & scramble.
Awesome video!!
Thanks
+Ron Roberts nn
xfg
I live right next to it on Durfor st.
What they did was chemical 1 was between L19&E60.But foam 169 was behind ladder 19 so u can only imagen on a call on how of a feasco that was LOL!!!!!!!!!
I work down the street from them I see them go out every time
great video!
Thanks
That must be a very busy station is it not Ron

+Ron Roberts lllol
sweet video dude
Thanks
4 turnout trucks hazmat 1 hazmat 2 chemical 1 foam 60
How come the roof gets higher on some us fire trucks?
To be able to stand up and put gear on in the back.
They also should make the foam units not the same as the engine. It should b foam 1,2,3.But still run the engines like normal so engine 60 & foam 1.Or like Engine 33 would b housed with foam 2 etc.I think that's y P.F.D. beats up their apostates.Just like their squad company's let b engine 47 & squad 1.Not makeing their engine & squad the same truck that's where the where & tare on a apporates starts just saying.
Is the station all hazmat?
All the firefighters stationed here are hazmat techs.
Thank you
very cool
THANKS
