      What high resolution, high refresh rate mini LED IPS display would you recommend right now?

  • @StarzGG
    @StarzGG หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Bought this monitor around 2 weeks ago and I absolutely LOVE it! Coming from a 300 hz LED ASUS panel, the color is just insane. The brightness is actually not too bad, considering that I play in a dim room with only indirect lighting. One reason that I chose this monitor over the 240 ASUS or LG hz choices was due to the curve. I've previously had an 800R curved monitor and I was not a super big fan. 1800R is a much better angle in my opinion. Finally, I'm pretty sure there is DSC as I have the same issues, but it's not the worst. Overall, I'm super happy with my purchase and I strongly recommend this monitor.

    Baught it. It's on amazone at 829 euros at the moment. Will pair well with my new 4080s. I was still on my old 21/9 monitor baught in 2012 (2560x1080, 60hz, IPS).

    Currently, in my country, the Alienware AW3423DWF is priced at 746 euros, while the MO34WQC2 is available for slightly less at 729 euros. Both monitors come with a 3-year burn-in warranty. Given this situation, which monitor would you recommend I purchase? Thank you! I currently run a 4070 Ti.

    The issue with QD-OLED is that background light can activate some of the OLED cells, causing them to have a grey or reddish hue.

    • @Dr.WhetFarts
      @Dr.WhetFarts 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      And WOLED lacks colors and have shitty coating on 99% of panels. If you buy an OLED monitor or TV to use it in a bright room, then you fucked up anyway. So you are bringing up a non-issue really. QD-OLED won best TV 2022, 2023 and 2024 judged by experts, it's simply just better than WOLED and LG Display can't do much without removing the white subpixel, hence leaving WOLED completely, which they won't at this point because all their fabs are built around this.

    • @Nagasaski
      @Nagasaski 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Dr.WhetFarts what is with your reply? Like somehow I personally attacked you? There are pro and cons to all tech, nothing is perfect. No need to be so sour. There are also other issues with QD-OLED as well, but the same goes for WOLED, too. I'm not going to fanboy one over the other. Rather, is better to know and understand objectively on all sides. There's no need to be so hateful...
      Also, the "non issue" you say, is an issue though. You don't always watch things in complete dark. During the day or dim light dark rooms, can cause blacks and shadows to be slightly off colour.

    • @Yoogaki
      @Yoogaki 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Dr.WhetFartsI agree about the room light. Turn off some damn lights. I'm sick of hearing that monitors aren't bright enough. Close every light and turn on your OLED monitor. The brightness will kill your eyes. Tbh about monitors I'll just wait 2 years for it. I hope I see good 42 inch ones lol

    • @bali5890
      @bali5890 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Yoogaki I agree. I have an LG oled tv and I had to turn the brightness down because it hurt my eyes. I think its common sense to make the room as dark as possible when watching movies. If not for the colors, then at least for the atmosphere.

    Best 34 inch oled atm if you catch it at a decent price. 240 hz, 3 years burn warranty, with the atrocious prices Corsair and MSI are asking for their 34 inch 240hz panels, getting this one for 750 Euros was a no brainer.

      @@DreamyWoIf I couldn't find any accuracy so far in HDR 1000, visible with the naked eye. The image is perfect to me, pretty much same as the Alienware. Also couldn't find any issue or firmware bug, everything works how it should.

      @@tg246 Whoops, now it's me who's late.
      The issue reported is with the APL Stabilize High setting that unlocks 1000-nits of peak brightness. Unfortunately, it has a very inaccurate EOTF tracking, meaning that it boosts brightness quite too much in darker scenes. If you watch Monitors Unboxed review from 14:27 on, this is explained quickly and with measurements.
      This problem plagued the Alienware DWF for months until customers requests due to monitor's popularity made the devs finally fix it.
      Still, thank you for your report. This monitor certainly seems to tick all the boxes except what I mentioned.
