Extremely difficult coaching, masterfully handled! I appreciated how the coach created a more comfortable place for the coachee and tried to bring them outside a muddled trail of thoughts
Very interesting coaching session. Whilst great session, it felt like it was a bit esoterica for me!! (My sh*t!??) Lol! I noticed I was curious to know he why felt he lacked boldness and adventure in his life? What would he be doing if he had those qualities. (Eg situations). What is he not doing now but would like to? What difference would those qualities make in his life and why chose those qualities? when would he want those super powers most? When, if ever, did he have them and when not (patterns). What stops him from having those qualities - boldness and when does he wants them (Finding the source or barriers) . What does boldness feel like in his body and where? (Can recognise it there abd when depleted). I ask because I am wondering if my questions are in appropriate? What has he thought or done in past to feel boldness? I know coaching approach is individual and creative and everyone would do it differently. Just wondering if my line questions or appropriate!!
@@Breathenow12345 Thanks for watching and commenting! All of the questions and curiosities you have listed are perfect examples of going deeper with the client, and are all appropriate and necessary questions. Love the way Lyssa coaches...the way she explores and different things that tries with the coachee (even the breathing...ok, it did not give him any insight, it's a road she tried...and I love that...)
This is such a great example of competency 7, using metaphor and analogy to evoke awareness. Well done Lyssa, you rode with it so patiently. Thank you for sharing
May I make an observation? Seems like you went back into your head - and you lightened it with appropriate laughter. Great moment in the coaching conversation.
Thanks for sharing this ! It is really helpful for young coaches who can face that and feel intimidated. You are so calm and positive. Did you feel discomfort during session ?
Thanks for watching, Vincent, and providing your insight. This is a great question! We notice that there is discomfort present in a good majority of coaching sessions, simply because of the vulnerability often required from both coach and client. What is empowering and useful about a coaching partnership is that clients enjoy the psychological safety required for vulnerability. We create an environment in which clients are willing to be disturbed by their own choices and mindset. Being comfortable in the discomfort is what initiates breakdown for breakthrough from the inside out.
Alyssa, these demos are very helpful to witness your skill and following the client’s sgenda. Thank you and please keep them coming 🙏

We could all use a little more boldness and courage to do bigger and better things in our lives! Love it!
Definitely - thanks for your comment Chris!

@@inviteCHANGE Wow that is inspiring, thank you. I guess practicing + mentor coaching is key to reach that.
