    Thank you for sharing these insights with us. Compassionate Detachment and Curiosity perfectly summarises what I need to practice to be a better coach. :)

    I like your point made about not focusing on "the situation. "

    • @LyssadeHart

      It's so easy to get lost in the situation, but that is typically not where the real learning is hiding. :) I am glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for your comment!

    Amazing video on a critical topic. Thank you so much, Lyssa. I have been applying some the learnings here to great benefit for my clients.
    I have a question maybe for a future video. How to coach clients who show up so overwhelmed with a specific problem that they don't seem able (willing?) to think of a goal for a coaching session? I had a client who was very emotional and seemed to have given up on even trying to explore. Thank you.

      @@LyssadeHart one thing that fascinates me with PCC and MCC coaches is their ability to share observations without attachment (e.g. intuitions, comments, thoughts, feelings) and invites a client's exploration through verbal or verbal intonation (Marker 7.5). Can you give us new coaches tips on this?
      I am often afraid to sound judgmental or nosy. But I think surfacing these observations are critical in evoking a client's awareness.

      I appreciate you taking the time to help us. I've been practicing coaching, but it seems like "colleges" don't like to share knowledge, new applications at the time of coaching, or what's working for them in a good coaching section. I am starting to follow you. You are a gem 💎 . I thank you very much. I find myself answering your questions myself 😂. I feel like I'm in a coaching section with you . ❤❤

    As an ADHD Coach with an LiCSW, I feel the coaching world is so hesitant to touch the therapy world, they stay too far away from meaningful depth in a legitimate coaching realm.

    • @LyssadeHart
      @LyssadeHart  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree Brandy, I think there are valid reason to be mindful of not tripping into therapy as a coach, especially if you aren't a therapist. :) And, that doesn't stop one from diving a bit deeper to the drivers and the insights that come from exploring below the surface. Thank you for the comments :)

    Hi Lyssa, I’ve been watching your demonstration videos and it is really helpful. I’m currently taking co-active coaching courses, and starting my coaching career. I’ve noticed your sessions are mostly based on conversations and barely using embodiment, but in co-active coaching embodiment seems crucial. Based on my experience with my coachees, I feel that I like conversation sessions rather than embodiment sessions, but other than that, I love co-active coaching. I am not sure if I should go for application for co-active qualification next month, or I should transit to another faction. Would you please provide some advise or maybe make a video to explain your understanding on different factions? Thanks a lot!

      Hi @凯西 I don't think I can answer that question for you, as it is such an important question that only you can know. I would say that I do use Somatics in the coaching that I do, as I notice the client having a reaction or response to something. For example in the video demo with Tracey E, she feels a tightening in her chest, and we explore that and discuss what shifted at the end of the conversation, and she describes the physical ease. All embodiment is, in my opinion, is taking awareness into our bodies, noticing our energies, and feeling viscerally the shifts, i.e., my heart lightened, or I notice a weight on my shoulders, as we have insights, not just being in our head. And, there are many ways that, as coaches or therapists that we invite the client to notice. I am not familiar with how co-active coaching teaches embodiment, but it's a valuable skill to explore. I was an Eclectic Therapist and now I am an Eclectic Coach, I draw on many different theoretical resources, I have training in everything from Cognitive Behavioral theory, Systems Theory, Neuroscience, Parts Work, Somatic Awareness, EMDR, Sand Play, etc, and use everything I have studied as it shows up and as I dance with and follow the client. I am not an adherent to 1 style or theory. So, my question back to you is, what might be important, or not, for you as a coach in learning about deeply about embodiment? And, what will you choose to learn next? :)
