- Clarity is a short film, shot, edited, written, and directed by Sam Bischof. This film was shot exclusively for The Overlander Film Fest and won the award for Best Cinematography. Clarity explores Sam’s love of the outdoors, tracing it back to his childhood living on the side of a mountain with no electricity or running water, and how the outdoors has come to be his escape from the noise of the world.

This short film was an awesome challenge for me. It pushed me outside of my creative comfort zone and I am super proud of the result. And while I am happy with how it came out, I am also analyzing it to look for the ways I can improve. It's inspired me to create more and focus on the story. Wow! That was extremely moving! My family and I recently realized that we were not living life. So we decided to get out and LIVE.
We are going to buy a Tundra and get into Overlanding and adventuring in nature. So I just created our channel to document our journey.

Sam, that was truly awesome. Took me back to growing up and my dad would take me camping. Little 2 man pup tent. Nothing fancy. Walking through the woods, catching catfish and cooking them on the fire then watching the stars at night with the fire flies in the air. I miss those times. I miss both of my parents. Cherish yours while you can. Thank you for creating this.

Beautiful beautiful film. I also enjoy being outdoors and filming so I can relate 💯. Plus I live in Az and love the desert 🏜 🌵. When hiking to the top of a mountain there’s a wonderful peace and a great getaway from all what’s going on down the mountain.

Wow! I'm still wiping my eyes! Well deserved honor of the award, it was so inspiring, reached deep inside me and made me realize how blessed I am to have family close by, to be able to see my grandkids anytime I wish, and how blessed I am to have a husband who loves the outdoors and has taught me and our kids and grandkids the wonderment of it all. Nature is more than the animals that wander, it more than the trees that shade, the flowers that grow, even in harsh terrain, it's life itself! Through this wonderful film, I have more readiness to go and experience real life in the nature around me. The stuff my husband has shared has only been sought on the surface, and now I want to experience more of that, deeper, and find my own "Clarity"! Thank you!
