Very informative. Really like the snap mount for GoPro. I help a buddy with his fishing channel. Learned a lot from this video. Keep up the good work! LOVE THE CHANNEL!
Been filming for my channel for going on 2 years now, and I’ve used my GoPro Hero 8 exclusively, mainly because of general expense of buying a second camera. I really appreciate the film gear ideas, especially the snap mounts. I will definitely be looking into them! Some day I too will be getting a DJI, really looking forward to those arial shots of my rig and the surrounding scenery! Just trying to figure out which one I want to go with✌️
I love my Mini 3 Pro. I do landscape cinematography and I had this tiny drone fly over 2000 feet away off the coast to film a lighthouse in the ocean. My video of Charleston South Carolina has that footage on my TH-cam. Those high winds did nothing to that Mini 3 Pro. I was very impressed.
I usually watch all videos but I guess I missed this one. You directed me here in Patreon. Great video. I bought the Insta 360 and the Snap Mounts Pro.
Hi Matt, another easy to watch and informative video. Keep up the great work! I have more gear than I am using. You are helping me dust off some of them.
Great video. I’m in my 50’s and basically self teaching myself all these things. We have a fair amount of gear. We also use Premiere pro for editing, I find that we shy away from it just do to its complexity. What do you use for editing. We’re trying to simplify things. Thanks you guys.
Wow! So much gear! All I use is my iPhone 13, and sometimes a GoPro. Appreciate a look into your camera gear! Must be a lot to manage while on the trails.
Not really. Each camera has it's purpose. It's no more effort to grab my big camera from the seat next to me than it is my GoPro or my phone. I also used to film with mostly my iphone but as the channel grew I wanted better image and audio quality. It's worth it to me.
Question for the next campfire Q&A. Put 38s on my JT and I want to know what are some components that I should upgrade or keep an eye on with running these bad boys
Thank you for this video. This answers a lot of my questions. One question about drone shots: does the drone hover and take good non shaky video? I can see that you take a lot of what appears to be hover video.
Would you recommend a DJI stabilizer for iPhone 13 Pro Max video recording. What I’m asking is I don’t have anyone that will go with me off-roading cuz I don’t have any friends with jeeps except for me. I just wanna be able to record myself from the outside of my Jeep doing a crossing or obstacle so I can see what my Jeep does as far as flexing or if and what wheels come off ground and which stay on ground. Thanks for any info you have. And thank you for sharing your video tips and tricks. I’d like to do you tube but I’m too shy and in secure to be on video and talk. Maybe one day I can overcome it and do like what you do. Thank you again
Matt, Great Video for fellow creators! Thanks for posting! Ended up ordering the Mag mounts. Seriously looking looking at the Mini Pro 3. I film 5k on my Hero 9 which enables better cropping when editing and the Rode WG2 mics. I like the DJI Mics and charging box, because charging the mics can be like having an octopus of cables in the Cab of the Jeep. I’m still editing on iMovie, curious what you’re using? I also use the pro-max iPhone a lot and Airdrop back and forth to my MacBook. Jon@SBYDs!
Hey Matt, what editing software do you use for your videos? You mentioned that you were a photographer before videographer. Just wondering. Oh, and what computer do you use? Thank you for your input.
I live in a beautiful area of the Rockies and I want to show it off, I just don’t know where or how to get started making a channel. Plus, trying to find the time to go out with my job is near impossible
Ok... looking for Drone advice from another overlander. I'm getting ready to buy a drone and I'm looking at the Mini 3 Pro vs the Mavic 3. The price tag is the part I'm sticking on but the lack of side sensors has me more than a little concerned. I'm also a novice flyer... fwiw. So... my question for you is.. as someone who crashed a drone because of a lack of side sensors, do you think it's worth the extra $$ to get the Mavic 3 vs the Mini 3 pro for that reason?
@OzarkOverlandAdventures that's kinda been my thought. I'm sure there are dozens of ways to crash or lose a drone... im way more comfortable with losing an $800 drone than a $2000 drone! Btw... love the channel! Thanks for the reply!
18:30 "Kinda Like Iron Man!" LOL Love it! Great video, Matt. Keep up the great work, my friend!
Those snap mounts are really cool and quick!

Oh nice I gotta get some snap mounts. Thanks for the info!
Nice gear for sure! Still waiting for that day when I crash my drone! Thanks for sharing what you are using and what works for you.
Very insightful, thanks for sharing! Those GoPro snap plates look like they would work well in my workflow. Cheers!

Awesome, thank you!
Thank you so much! This is definitely something I wanted to see =)
Hey Matt, how are you storing all of this footage, pics and data while out on long trips? Do you use multiple cards? Upload on to another device?
Mat please let me know when you upgrade your drone. Very interested. I have been practicing with mini. But I am ready for upgrade. Thanks
Love my DJI Mini 3 Pro! Also what video editing software do y'all use?
I use Adobe Premiere.

I also use Premiere Pro. If I were just starting out I would use Davinci Resolve.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Thank you. We may have to check that out.

Hello, great video. Thanks for sharing. Could you please share the camera grip you use for the A7, did not see listed.
It's the grip Sony makes for it.

There’s lots of information on hardware and thank you for contributing but what do use for editing? That’s where all the time is sunk. Thanks!
I use Adobe Premiere.
Ohhhh, I like the magnet mounts for the GoPro. Have you experimented with a gyroscopic mount to keep the camera level?
I have not.
Great information, would love to know your editing software & what type computer you use
Thanks! I edit with Adobe Premiere Pro on a Macbook Pro.
Love my A6500, don't shoot enough to justify an A7 version yet.
Loved the video and I am a big Sony fan and GoPro . What do you use for editing
Thanks. I use Adobe Premiere.

Yes the drone hovers great and takes non shaky video.
What mounts are you using on your go pro stick to get the full range of motion?
I am wondering that myself.

The built in stabilization is pretty good in the iPhone 13PM. I wouldn’t buy one.

There's a huge difference between those two drones. As a novice I'd get the Mini 3 Pro. Just be careful flying sideways. lol

No
Possible extra revenue streams. Just throwing it out there. Some of the content is really lacking and you would crush it. Love your work Semper Fi.
