This does look delicious, easy, convenient. Tasty hint of sour cream at the end. Please keep the slow cooker recipes coming---love all of your recipes! 🤗
Oooh my! That’s definitely RIGHT up my street 😻 Get in mah tummy! I’ll be making this this coming weekend, I’ll let you know how I get on! Thanks Cheryl ❤️ Loving the slow cooker recipes 🥰 Sorry I’ve been so quiet, I have been watching as always. I think the last time we spoke I mentioned my Jakey had gone missing & was worrying me silly. Well, on the Sunday as I was getting some photos together to make some flyers for Monday morning & make the dreaded vet calls to give his details over.. in he swans like butter wouldn’t melt. I think he wondered what all the fuss was about when I cuddled him half to death! I noticed he had a swelling around his eye, his eye was bloodshot & his pupil dilated. He was also having trouble eating. I wasn’t sure if he’d been in a fight or had a tooth issue (& that’s why he’d disappeared - cats have a tendency to do that), so I whisked him off to the vets on the Monday. Turns out I was wrong on all accounts.. I don’t know why, but just before taking him I had a terrible overwhelming feeling it was something awful. I’m a worry wart, so I put it down to my silly imagination, but I couldn’t shake this odd feeling. My usual vet wasn’t it, however.. the vet went quiet & gingerly told me she’s more than sure he had a tumour in his jaw, & to confirm he would need a scan (costing £1,500...). When I asked if it was cancerous - or if she suspected it to me, she responded with ‘it’s not looking good’, followed by how much weight he’d lost (I knew he’d lost a little but I figured it was because he’d gone missing & hadn’t been feeling himself). Of course I promptly burst into tears. I was given antibiotics to give him in the hope it would alleviate some of his swelling & pain meds, but after 3 days he was vomiting & I stopped them after informing the vet (if Jasper ever gets poorly, avoid Synulox - none of my cats get on with it & they all vomit!) Poor Jakey was crying to eat but couldn’t, I bought these new felix soups to make sure he stayed hydrated, shredded chicken, gave him kitten food (higher calories - spoke to my vet who told me to give him it), tuna.. even cream cheese or butter on his paw with meds so he had something. A week & a half after his diagnosis I lost him. He was only 11 years old. It’ll be 4 weeks this Saturday. Without going into detail, he went in quite a distressing way (showed all signs of passing at home but just kept holding on & fitting all through the night - I was a mess), took him straight to the vets Saturday morning & held him as he flew over to meet the rest of his brothers & sisters. I had him personally cremated & they kindly took his paw prints for me & a lock of his hair. I’ve sort of been walking around in a daze since. It all happened so fast. The vet said cats are so good at hiding everything when something is wrong, I genuinely had no idea he was unwell, he’d been his normal jovial self until that disappearance. On one hand I’m glad it was quick for him, I’d have hated it to be prolonged, but gosh, I barely had time to register anything or spend time with him. He left his sister, Millie, behind - who felt his loss greatly for the first few weeks but is doing better now. I thought I’d let you know as I know I often have a little chat with you in the comments. You’ve been so kind in responding over the year or so & I want by thank you for your kind thoughts when he went missing. Sending you lots of love & positivity ❤️ Laura x
That looks really nice Cheryl, think I will use the chicken and sauce you made for a pie without the pasta, my Gran god bless her was from Stranraer, used to love her Scottish cooking😍 Hope to see your next haul in Aldi lol xx
I'm always up for slow cooking recipes, I can't wait to make this it looks absolutely delicious Thank you, Cheryl, for another amazing yummy recipe :-)
I'm really enjoying your videos. They are so simple and look delicious. I've spent months looking for easy meals in the slow cooker on you tube and ive just come across yours They are the best on here. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Cheryl, I love your posts. I’m Scottish, from Renfrew, but have lived in Tokyo for a couple of decades. Enjoy your wee views of the Ayrshire coast. Keep up the good work. ❤️
Hi, I have just put this in my slow cooker for tea, I followed how you make it a while ago before Christmas our first time having it and now as a family we absolutely love it and have it at least once a week now, it has become a regular meal in our house now, thanks to you lovely. Im always watching your vlogs, for ideas and inspiration and I sure have learned to cook better now by watching your vlogs. My children are loving all their new different meals now. Thank you so so much, Take Care and Stay Safe you and your Family, look forward to your next vlog soon 😁 xx
Hi Cheryl Must confess I don’t do much cooking, my wife will say “it would be nice to have someone to cook for me for a wee change” 🤣🤣 but I love your videos, definitely going to give this a go 👍🏻
Will be giving this a whirl for sure!!... Love my new slow cooker. Couldn't boil an egg up till then!!... Living proof it's never too late...All the best from a Scot in Thailand..🙋🙋🙋
Greetings from the U.S.A., had wanted to try this one since you posted it in October! Finally made it tonight. I used dried thyme leaves, 7 oz. whole wheat egg noodles, and five bone-in chicken thighs. I removed the bones before serving. It was very good. Would love to see a recipe for digestive biscuits if you have one. Thank you for all of your wonderful videos! Have a blessed Christmas 🎄🌟🎄 Much love, Shirley G.
This looks wonderful! I would want to eliminate the dill as it's not a favorite .. any suggestions on another herb that would work well with this recipe? Thumbs up as always xx
I just made this and it tasted fantastic but instead of cooking the pasta before hand i just put the raw pasta in with the cooked ingredients and gave it a good stir together
Whether fresh or dried I have always precooked pasta halfway at minimum. The starch comes off the noodles to give the rest of whatever's cooking a bizarre cardboard taste from the boiled flour. I made that mistake once and never again.
Just recently joined ur channel, ur recipes look delish, i am doing this recipe 2nite 4 dinner, it is in the slowcooker just now, cant wait 4 dinner time. X
This was absoulutly delish, my brotherinlaw is away with a dish of the leftovers, Thursday dinner is the slow cooker steak dinner. Thank u 4 sharing ur tasty recipes. X
Looks lovely but I wouldnt add sour cream and hubby could sprinkle his cheese at end.great recipes and you list all we need and couldn't be any simpler for men that cant cook or say they cant he he 🏴🙏💙xxx
Hi Cheryl - Another good job! While I know the Campbell's condensed cream of soups are not going to make the top 100 list for health foods, they're great cooking sauces! BTW, shot you an email, but haven't heard back. I'm in the Dundee/Broughty Ferry area twice a year with family. Have seen most of the Campbell's condensed in the shops, but never seen their Golden Mushroom soup over there. Are you familiar with it? If not, and you're interested - it's also great (especially with pork chops). Let me know & I'll post you a couple of cans.
Hi Patrick :) I must have missed your email or deleted it by mistake :/ I've never heard of Golden Mushroom...does it taste different to regular mushroom? Yes I'd definitely be up for trying it, thanks! :)
For those who have asked. I didn't weigh my penne pasta :) But I used about half a bag...my bag had 1kg in it, so around 500g.
Your channel has quickly become one of my favorites here on TH-cam, I always look forward to your videos~ Your voice is so lovely to listen to!

Hi Cheryl

Im sure it would Jo :) I don't see why not. Let me know how it goes if you decide to make it x
TheRenaissanceman65 good point! Thanks x
Cheryl, how did you prevent the sour cream from splitting? Yours still looks nice and creamy at the end. Thanks for any suggestions! And the recipe :)
I didn't have any problem with it splitting :) it was just added at the end...so perhaps that's it
I love your voice its so gentle and loving :)
Made this today. I don’t like mushrooms so added leeks instead. Oh my word this is so tasty. Thank you 🙏

This looks lovely will have to make it for the family ❤️
This looks wonderful! I would want to eliminate the dill as it's not a favorite .. any suggestions on another herb that would work well with this recipe? Thumbs up as always xx
How about Tarragon Rosie? :)
Yes! We like tarragon so that's what I will use. Great suggestion .. Thanks Cheryl! xx
I just made this and it tasted fantastic but instead of cooking the pasta before hand i just put the raw pasta in with the cooked ingredients and gave it a good stir together
Would you have information to make this in a pressure cooker? Either way looks delicious.
I would be interested in having the degustabox from you Cheryl. Happy to pay postage also if need be 😃 xx
Thanks for sharing this Cheryl ... I was wondering can you use fresh pasta straight in from the packet instead of the par boiled pasta 👍
Oh yes :) fresh pasta would work wonderfully! I wouldn't use dried pasta (like I had) without cooking it first though. Thanks for watching Sarah :)
Yes I agree , I’m definitely giving this a go ... I’m using my slow cooker more too , some more recipes would be fab thankyou x
Whether fresh or dried I have always precooked pasta halfway at minimum. The starch comes off the noodles to give the rest of whatever's cooking a bizarre cardboard taste from the boiled flour. I made that mistake once and never again.
msr111 ahhh that makes sense , thanks for the tip 👍
Just straight from the vine sprinkled with Italian seasoning from Schwartz? Or similar.....xx

Can u use diced chicken for this recipe x
Does this taste very salty with the cream of chicken soup , condensed soup and the stock? Xx
Hi there, Not at all :) I don't like overly salty things...I used to use salt in everything and now hardly use it.
What's For Tea? Great :) I am definitely going to give this a go! Thanks for uploading this x
How much pasta did you use? It looks about right.
Hiya :) I didn't weigh it I'm afraid. I used around half a bag! Not that that helps much lol....There's 1kg in the bag...so around 500g :)
@@WhatsForTea thanks for your response.
im gonna swap mushrooms as i dont like them , too carrots as they are my favourite
I only have medium or high on my slow cooker
I would go for medium :) Give a test and let it cook for a little longer in needed
I looks so delicious. 🙂
You wouldn't like to fry the chicken breasts onto a pan, to make some surface roast?
Sorry my English isn't good.
I have always found chicken in the crock pot is dry. Cooking it for so long is the chicken dry??
Hi there :) I've never found it overly dry...especially with all of the other ingredients...this is so tasty!
