Its timber-framed crooked houses, beautiful church and inviting pubs make it a fascinating place to explore for the day. Lavenham's history goes back to Saxon times, but it is as a medieval wool town that it is known best - exporting it's cloth as far as Russia.
This walk starts in Lady St by Lavenham Guildhall and takes in all the major sights of the village, including Little Hall Museum, Molet's House where 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' was written, and St Peter and St Paul's Church.

I'm a Suffolk gal born and bred but been living in Somerset for 40 years. Lavenham was the last place I visited with my mum before she could no longer go out. That was about 20 years ago. Once we're able to live a more normal life I'm coming back to visit old haunts.

You know, I always tell you, but it's absolutely true. It is as if I were there to walk and enjoy these beautiful places with you.
And in this moment where travel is practically impossible, it all takes on even greater significance.

There is a beautiful atmosphere in this village. I really loved it!
Dear friends, I hope you are well and that everything there is under control.
We are awaiting the resumption of schools. This will be a difficult time to get through. The infections increase but slightly. However, we are at higher levels than in June and July for example. The infections now concern mainly young people.
We also hope well with the arrival of autumn ...
We try to think positively and hope that this whole nightmare will pass soon.
And we try to enjoy places like this too, which are absolutely beautiful.
I embrace you with a lot, a lot of affection.

I think you're right that in this moment where travel is difficult, that it all takes on more importance to connect.
It's lovely that you enjoyed the atmosphere in this village. It's only an hour away from our home. We hope to film more places that give peace, tranquility in England... after all we can't go anywhere else!
We are well here and things are manageable. If possible we may try to travel somewhere warmer at Christmas, we'll see. We'll have to be spontaneous and respond day by day.
I hope you are able to enjoy places in Italy still that are are absolutely beautiful I'm sure. Where will you be next?

@@LivingWalks I did hear the Church Bells they are a Sunday Staple, but moving through the Village these days is a nightmare, and building more houses. Parts of the old Train Station used to be at the North End of the village, it was a good feature of the Village but got removed by a factory/warehouse, now just fancy houses.
