Looks great, Nikki too
I laughed so hard I almost cried when you said what the names of the cats were and why!!😂😂😂😂 Remember that cats are pros when it comes to be a pain in the ass!!
Cheers from Argentina!
Your doing a good job on a budget
Thanks
People just don’t get it! Your channel is about rebuilding old cars as cheap as possible. You do a great job of bringing old cars back to life. Some people just complain about anything.
Thanks
Ya, cheap as possible…. But he also does a high quality job in the process!! I’d drive ANYTHING he puts out on the road👍
Ditto that, I enjoy watching him put those cars back on the road. You can tell that he is an experienced auto body man.
Just keep doing it your way.
Hey Lee thanks for letting us walk with Nikki. I really enjoy watching you restore these cars keep them coming.
Thanks
FLEX SEAL WORK GREAT
hello lee nice work on the el camino super sport. it was great to see nikky walking around with out a leach on her own she's an amazing dog.
Thanks
The back pans turned out good
Thanks
Watching the video and you were talking about a comment I made about fixing the plastic trim with fiberglass. I probably should of said that it took my friend a couple of weeks to do his but he put Bondo on them and sanded them out because he wanted them glossy. It was a lot of work even if you don't take it that far.
a few people commented about fixing them with fiberglass but yes, very time consuming
Looking great as ALWAYS sir pat nicky for me DO NOT LET COMMENTS WORRY YOU YOU ARE BRINGING OLD CARS BACK TO LOOKING LIKE NEW ONES NEXT VIDEO PLEASE LOL
Thanks
Support
LMAO....love the name of your cats....GET.....lol...keep up the good work
The floors look great you did what most should, use what you got and buy only what you need and even then, you look for the best price. Keeping the cost down and making a nice ride is doing it right. Really enjoying the El Camino SS build. On another note, Nikki is doing so good, nice to see her enjoying life.
Thanks
Hell, I think them floors came out pretty damn good for what you had to work with.
Thanks
Keep up the saving of these old cars . Your way of doing it works for me. Great job. Can't wait for the paint job.
Thanks
That front patch pan looks better than the back ones you got!
for sure
Nicky really is lovely and id love to see inside those 2 travel trailers you have some great vehicles about THE EL-CAMINO IS REALLY TAKING SHAPE
Thanks
@@clunkersandclassics my pleasure
Glad to see Nikki doing so good
I like the way you work Lee. Making something work or using what you have is the way to go. I was impressed by the way you made the rear floor pans fit. I really enjoy your channel. Nikki looks great! Im so happy she’s adapted so well.
Me too (Nikky) I was just thinking the other day that she must at least see shadowy impressions based on the way she avoided something, I was shocked just now to hear him say something about her eyes being removed..my heart sunk, I musthave missed that part in the past.
I'm so bummed but like you said she has adapted well, that's awesome. Love animals and I hate suffering of any kind by any body or critter.
@@Nat_Sarim Yes, sadly, both eyes had to be removed.
Hey brother I haven't had a chance yet, but I've been meaning to run down to this 1 Kragen's/Schucks Auto/O'Reilly, to confirm what one it is for sure 100%..but I think it's called Krylon "Fusion"..
I do same thing you do, and I'm tellin' ya, this stuff looks more legit than any interior paint I have EVER tried..it's the PERFECT level of satin..it looks as if it's factory, not all glossy and cheap lookin', and not dead on flat either..best plastic door panel, dash piece, etc paint I've ever tried.
I just did a car with a tan interior 2 summers ago, and I was out of the interior paint I was using, so I thought I'd do some 2 tone stuff and see if I could make it appear intentional, and I was so stoked about it that I re-did everything in that - it's worth it to check this stuff out.
They have several Krylon Fusion tans, and I'm not sure which one it was (I'll find it tho cuz I want more! ;-)
I'll let ya know after I confirm the exact product and color, but if you see some Krylon Fusion, I'd grab it and give it a try.
Thanks for the video - talk all sappy to Nicky for me 😉👍
Just keep on trucking, keep those old Bow ties on the road.
You know what your doing great job Lee good video be safe
Thanks
your doing a great job on the floors for the ss look great
Thanks
Good evening Mr Lee , i really look forward to watching the progress with your cars..You remind of my dad when we used to work on cars together. He's been gone 15 yrs this January . You obviously love what you do, i really hope your channel keeps growing. Thank you for the wonderful content
Thanks
Sweet ❤❤❤
still have that Aspen eh, you should list in the description what you have for sale. Happy to see Nikki out and about,
I can't believe you made those back floor pens work those were terrible quality and you did a great job with that ! I can't wait to see the paint and body work because you're excellent at that.
Thanks
Exellent job my friend can’t wait to see interior in . Keep up the great work big fan of your channel here in Mexico

Great job Lee gonna be a great car.
Thanks
WOW..this is the Hardest working guy on youtube, he just digs in & gets it done...Say, did you sell the White Work Truck yet ? it was cool too
I sold the stepside, was the only truck I had for sale.
Run the hose over it & make sure you got the holes, so new rug dont get wet....
Lee, Nikki has grown on all of us what a great companion she is for you. The SS is really taking shape We are really happy to be coming along with you and Nikki on this journey. Take care.
Thanks
Great video, im a machinist and way too detail oriented where i would replace the whole floor. The way you work is great. Get it done and enjoy it. The work is decent and fast. Big fan
You're a machinist. Not a body man. : ) I'd like to see you replace 10 rusty floors then say you'd replace another whole one when you don't need to. : ) Just joking around. I'm also a big fan.
Thanks
37:00 - I had a friend who's dad owned a Plastics Injection Molding business, who at one time (30 years ago) was making (get this) 100k "Army Men", 100k plastic pieces to fit Hummers and Bradleys for somethin', and 100 Million Body Bags (all for the government, even the Army men).
My point being they can make anything.. .. and also he made "something" (I forget now) for his 69 Road Runner.
I don't know what goes into making the mold, but apparently it can't be all that big of a deal, because he was usually a broke teenager or college age guy at the time, and his dad let him do it? So it couldn't have cost "that" much??
Might wanna look into it for hard to find plastics maybe? .. just a thought..🤷♂
Boy that is really coming along nicely ! Maybe you can stack tires on those sharp corners here and there for the dog ? We had a german shepard retired police dog as kids named Nicky. She got the runs one time inside the house so we called her Nicky poo poo after that ! lol
Today saw a 4th gen. Malibu being load on a scrap metal trailer. Would have a good parts car or a young kid learning about cars. P.S. Loot for a 73' Pontiac Grand Am 400 4bbl they still went pretty good. The Ram Air engine are the best hard to find.
You did a good job with what you had to work with instead of wasting time etc. You fixed the holes in the bed so the back section won't be a problem anymore.
Nice job, Lee!
Thanks
Hello Lee, just thinking the mid eighties camaro is going to be a great build.
Back and front floor pans look great good job on the restoration on the 1978 El Camino SS
Thanks
Take the updraft manifolds of the motor you pulled out of the ss
Dont know if it woukd work for your interior parts but some guys cover the plastic parts in felt then cover it with fiberglass resin then then cover that with rondo a mix of fiberglass resin and body filler.
It’s looking good. Isn’t galvanized a little harder to weld? Also I’ve heard it gives off a real bad smell when welding.
You can get sick from welding galvanized.
There is a way to remove it but it's probably not easy.
I think they call it galvanic flu or something to that affect.
it welded easy
✌️😎
Here in Houston TX they about 12 of them car's for sale for 1500 no rust
SS models, one owner?
I don't know but they part car's not being a asshole just letting you know they is a Oldsmobile car looks like the nova 78 for 1000 no motor or transmission but inside nice good body
Vinegar will neutralize the galvanized and help the paint stick
Nice looking Shepard! How old is the dog? Dogs are very smart even blind.
she's almost 2 now
So, the SS Camino was propane fueled before right? The holes in the bed were probably holes for mounting the propane fuel tank?
probably
Hope you welded floors that seam glue is not enough
they're welded
6th COMMENT!!!!!!
Great work ! Dont listen to the internet crowd most people dont understand how to stay on a budget when restoring a car you show people that it can be done.
Thanks
If you have headliner material left over you can take and wrap the old visors and if you dont have a sewing machine you just put them back together with liquid nail ot 2 part epoxy watch youtube on it easy i think with your skill
Just well the whole from the bottom and then fiberglass over the top but you can put a patch over it pretty easy from the bottom side then you wouldn't even see the fiberglass once you pour $15 over and underneath😅
He uses fleece and fiber glass resin
Where did you get the carpet from?
through rock auto
Don’t hate me but can you rebuild th plastics with foam ?????? Just saying
Did the guy get the Benz??
yes, it's sold
Be careful. Welding galvanized metal creates dangerous fumes!
Put the put the damn engine Together without the damn computer since you're in Texas and you don't even have to have a cattle converter put the damn engine in there's a warning on this universal on Amazon comes with directions and everything you just have to terminate the ends use as many fuses and you had to make a plate for the firewall and run everything in place Dan uses a lot of um D speech app it's a screenshot it looks like a organized chaos but the way he breaks it down and also the guy from half past custom Brent he used a lot of them because they're cheap I think you can get the Hawaiian horse in the whole car for like a 129 bucks and you just have to put the ends on it from the wine harness you already have which you already have in the car which has the 2 or 3 incorrect Which had the 2 or 3 and correct plugs showed in the video but that was just for the Match so you should be good to go what's one of those kids I said there are a 129 bucks on Amazon or left but I recommend the 20 circuit kit and make sure of how much wire you get because they're several on there and the length of wire will make a lot of difference because some of them are really short and you have to extend the wires out but if you make sure you get the right length of wire and get a dual headlight set app that's the Warren harness I used even in my 86 Monte Carlo and I have those gages for that Al comino that you're running They can't handle bucks form ship Which is the same thing as that is 86 Monte Carlo up to 78 El Camino it's the same gauge kit for the - showing me all those idiot lights😅
Man I can’t get the English translation to work on this!
😂
Just type in swahili or what ever your language is bud, you make no sense. We can just hit the teasalate button. ...... probly still won't make sense.
Well Lee there you go again putting lipstick on a pig again. You should do it right cut out the rusty metal & replace it with metal...not fiberglass....but you know what IT'S NOT MY CAR DO IT IF THAT'S PLEASES YOU MY FRIEND, me I would do it right....OH WELL....
