without a doubt. I just bought my fifth Ducati a streetfighter. Have a nightshift 2022, a 2020 silver scrambler cafe racer, two monsters, an MV Agusta Brutale 800, an MV 1090 Brutale, a Diablo 650 Custom cafe, a Benelli TRK 502X, an Enfield Scram 411, and some others i can remember right now.. oh an xsr Yamaha, and something else, my Harley Sportster 1200.. and Diavel is my next one
Coming from a Harley owner, good ass video. Comparing it financially to owning a Harley really puts a perspective on owning this one. Considerations are in order
I own a 883 iron converted to 1275 CC bored out and own 5 Ducatis, and 2 MV's but the Diavel i still do not have, I recommend the X-Diavel for harley and cruiser riders with forward footpegs. Its cool for you to ride you will like it. I am a Harley owner and my whole life has been with M.C.s and i love the Diavel. Has low rev high torque and high rev high torque and a good midrange, so can ride according to your style, in the city or motorway, short or long distance. Unless you are with 81 in which case only Harleys acceptable
Nice! I own a very well used and loved 2012 Multistrada 1200 and have been loving the Ducati's from this generation. Reliable and still competitive with modern machines!
I bought mine new in 2011, the first batch in Australia, and still love it. Just cost me $$$$ to get back up and running after years in storage but no regrets. So much better than my old 1098 ..... hell I miss that as well.
I agree with all that you had to say. I've had my 2014 for many years. And in the time. I still get a buzz both looking at and riding it. I have owned about forty bikes in my life. Which includes dirt bikes. And I haven't wanted to hold onto a bike like I have this one.
Yeah it’s a great bike it’s a beast , my 2013 model , I covered 20,000 by 2018 and the crankshaft snapped , rear brake disc worked loose , rear shock and bracket went , other than it eating battery’s , service and belts changed £1300 !! Advice buy a 2014 upwards ,Ducati upgraded the crankshaft, I’ve also a diavel 1260 which is awesome but the original 2013 was a absolute beast , I’m currently looking for a 2014 - 2019 gen 2 to buy and swap all my expensive bits onto and sell my gen 1 off for parts 😢🏍🏍👍👍
Nice video mate. I got a 2018 X Diavel S October 2021 and only been out. Few times as its been poor weather in Scotland but the days i do go im like a kid. These bikes are awesome 👌
Had one for the last three years and it's fantastic, always driven sportsbikes (except for several CBX) and this is more comfortable but kicks the hell out of most bikes.
Love this video! I just got turned on to the Diavel and never owned a Ducati. So good to hear a review!!! Especially about the reliability! Would you ever buy a used one and do they hold their value?
Hey JordanNiks , glad you liked the vid 👍. I bought that bike in the video used , it had about 1000 miles on it . Wasn’t even broken in , but for less than half of brand new . I’d absolutely would buy used again…. People with Ducati’s or Harleys tend to look after them ( most ) . They tend hold there value very well here , for Many years. I can still get back what I paid for it …. Being 4 years later Cheers
@@twowheeledwarrior thanks Man! Seriously thanks for making the vid! I was already thinking I liked these bikes, and thanks to you I can’t wait to get one! Hope to see you on the road bro!
What is 'cooler weaher'? I'm from Holland and thinking about buying a motorcycle. The Diavel would be my first choice but I am doubting the reliability of the bike. It is a 2011 model I have on top of my list... Although realistically I probably go for my second choice Honda C 1000 R. But that Diavel has so much presence...
I found that temperatures around 10 degrees or lower gave the attitude. I’m not a fan of riding in cool weather, but when I had too, it would give me a little bit of a rough idle . But as soon as you hit the second bar on the temp gauge . All would be normal. Pending how cool it is , it could stay at one bar the whole ride. A few people I’ve talked to with the multistrata experience the same thing
I bought an AMG with 7500 miles, dyno’d, flashed, goosed, and whatever the hell this past owner could think of to make this bike untamable. I’m a rider, not a mechanic, techy, nothing. The dealership I took it to so it could be checking nut and bolt, just shook their heads. They said there’s no way for them to know what all has been done to it. I will say it took me a couple of thousand miles before I figured out how to ride it like a regular motorcycle. Tossed the Pirellis, put a couple of Power 6 on and that machine is amazing. The hardest thing now is going home. Buy one if you can find an adult owned and driven one.
A little bit more expensive than the average equivalent sized bike . I ain’t rich , not even close ! And if I can afford it , anyone can make it happen . Cheers
Hey Rico, not sure where your from , but, I’ve been trying to see one in person ( in Canada). I was thinking of maybe doing the same thing . But I’ve yet been able to see one in person! I am on a forum on FB. But nothing to do with custom parts , which I believe are almost impossible to find. Cheers
I don’t know much about tuning these bikes, I know in Canada it’s like $4000 for another exhaust to boost up the power by a few HP . A really expensive bike for tuning I’d imagine
If it had all its services done ON TIME, looked mint , and priced right . I would , any sign of neglect, I’d definitely walk away .but at 40km , it would have to be one heck of a deal. My personal opinion
An outstanding motorcycle indeed. I have owned two over 7 years. Along with my Panigale, my diavel is a keeper... Forever 🤗

Ah man...so nice to hear positive things about this bike, people are quick to nail it for maintenance and etc
In Thailand we circumvent those expensive solutions as many mechanics have the software and knowledge to do it cheaper

I have 5 Ducatis, and 2 MV's and the Diavel is my next Ducati. I have become an obsessed collector. 12 bikes now, 13 soon
I too have the same disease… however, isn’t great having a garage full of Joy Makers?!!!
I bought mine new in 2011, the first batch in Australia, and still love it. Just cost me $$$$ to get back up and running after years in storage but no regrets. So much better than my old 1098 ..... hell I miss that as well.
I'm thinking of buying one, thanks for the review.

I bought a cromo 2013 in 2012, rode it for 7 years, and years later l bought the same bike with a 8000km more.
Ths bike is best bike I own,
Love this first gen round headlight & fairing .. Don't know why ducati removed it & went with this current inverted "U" styling..

Im really looking forward to get a 2012 Carbon edition myself!
Need to turn down the background music... Makes it hard to hear you sometimes. Otherwise, great video.
It's my dream bike. I can't afford it yet, but hopefully I'll get the promotion and in 2 years, I will upgrade to a Diavel V4
got this model in 2017 with 20km, atm 73k km and still drives perfect. Somebody got with it more than 100k maybe ?
Love this video! I just got turned on to the Diavel and never owned a Ducati. So good to hear a review!!! Especially about the reliability!

The biggest problem with mine is whenever I'm on it, it turns me into a hooligan dickhead.
Gotta admit , it definitely wants to play . I’m guilty once in awhile, and I’m no spring chicken. Stay safe . Cheers
yes, you should buy this beast. it's fast, rides like a sport bike and turns heads like no other! so yes.....buy this bike!
I want to own a diavel when I get my big boi job. I bet the maintenance is expensive?
A little bit more expensive than the average equivalent sized bike . I ain’t rich , not even close ! And if I can afford it , anyone can make it happen .

Thinking bout getting the 23 v4. What are some good diavel forums and places to find custom parts?
Hey Rico, not sure where your from , but, I’ve been trying to see one in person ( in Canada). I was thinking of maybe doing the same thing . But I’ve yet been able to see one in person! I am on a forum on FB. But nothing to do with custom parts , which I believe are almost impossible to find.

Tww the only custom parts place i can find so far is ducabike. Put a deposit on a red one and will arrive in April. Good luck to you my friend!
Anyone can help on this, in 20,000 km for 7000 USD is a good choice? (For a Diavel Carbon 2011)
What’s the fuel range of a diavel.?
250 to 275 km when absolutely running on fumes. All highway driving
@@twowheeledwarrior Thankyou very much.
I have to fill it up every time I ride it. Very thirsty bike
i need to sell mine to get back on top financially. Only problem is i cant its too good
Sorry to hear that Kody , hope things get better soon
I’m looking for one for my wife. I have one. Year and km and asking price pls?
Totally agreed it's my favo bike wouldn't think about riding something else... Ok maybe a 1260 ;)
Can this bike used or turing? does the wind beat you up?

How tall are you? I’m 6ft4 (1,94m)…
On a good day 5’11 , Most days 5’10 ish
I am 5'8 and 10 inches
Well, you didn't say too much except that it's temperamental and cooler days what does that mean? lol
On the cooler days it idles rough, almost like it has a carburetor and the choke isn’t adjusted right when it’s cold.
What year is it?
It’s a 2013 ,it’s going in for its Desmo service once all this snow has melted away !
Listen Google, I will never ever buy anything thanks to annoying ads you put in every video
❤️👍
I don't know how men now a days can call themselves men if they can't work on their own bikes I have 13800 miles on my diavel
Obnoxious music.
Agreed
a DEALER.. to change your oil.. adjust your chain ! WTF!
nice motorcycle, witch tyres do you have on it? Pirelli ?
Pirelli diablo 3’s, the rear hooks up amazingly well when launching off the line
Should I get one over 40k km?
