    If you trim the laminate before you press your prints the heat forms the laminate around the item you are subbling on. Gives a very clean edge

      I used to do that but found that sometimes it shrunk it smaller than the object.

    Hello! Interested video 🥰 my questions please.. If I am going to sublimate the two sides, what do you recommend so that the other side is not damaged? On which side of the laminating paper should it be placed towards the wood, because I saw you separate the laminating sheets?

    • @LeslieIrene
      @LeslieIrene  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So the rougher side should be placed on the wood. The shiny side should be facing outward. That is a really good question. You don’t want the other side to mess up. You could try doing them at the same time and see if that works. I haven’t tried it. So I am not entirely sure.

      I used it more just to know what size I wanted to make my image and to figure out if I could get the faces to fit in the heart.

    How come you need laminate

    • @LeslieIrene
      @LeslieIrene  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you were to press on the wood directly, it would not really show up. You can also use poly acrylic on the wood to make it sublimatable so that you don’t have to use laminate.

  • @tyanni21

    You may want to use a primer first. Then it wouldn't take but one or two coats of paint.

    • @LeslieIrene
      @LeslieIrene  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe I’ll try that out next time. Thanks. Even without the primer, the images still look vibrant.

    I was wondering if the laminate would stick to the paint. Now I know you can't paint the wood and laminate sticks to the paint I can make my wood gift tags. Just wish I can get matte laminate paper not a shiny person
