Your video looks much easier to twist the hook. You do it so well. I’m doing an Afghan for my grandson an will use this as the border in contrasting. No fuss! Thank you so much Tuula
Amazing as always, Mam. Thanks a million for these tutorials. I am not sure whether, I should buy carbonized bamboo crochet hooks or plastic. Please guide.❤
Your tutorials are the best....so we'll designed, shown at the perfect pace to keep up, nice size example to see what it turns into. Thank you for showing/teaching me.
Oh tuula … THIS is my VERY MOST FAVORITE STITCH of ALL … learned it years ago by accident f while searching for another stitch but was my ALL TIME FAVORITE from that day on …
I think I'll have to try this out! Do you have any videos showing different ways to hold your yarn? I'm finding my left hand aches (I hold the crochet hook with my right hand) after a while and am trying to figure out how to change it. As always, thank you for your super helpful videos, Tuula!😊
Thank you! I only have a short one-minute video showing how I hold the yarn and hook. It would be hard to explain many different ways as I have never tried them, many look so complicated! But many people have asked about the way I crochet and I'm planning to make a bit longer video about it sometime soon. th-cam.com/users/shortsNJm87ImCWJI
The first time I used stitch I thought it was going to ruin my blanket. But the pattern said use it. It was such a great choice. It gave structure or something to that project and I became a fan
Oh i like that! I do a reverse hdc on my kippot that gives them a little more shaping and firmness. Your stitch keeps it going in the same direction. I can add another row onto mine.
Looks like a great alternative to the crab stitch! Thanks!
It really is, looks almost the same and faster to do!

Thank you! I love bamboo hooks, plastic ones don't last long. But my favourite hooks are metal with a soft plastic handle.
It looks cool! With neutral colors, it would look like a nice "rope" look! 😊
True! 😊

Isn’t that like the crab stitch
Yes, looks very simiilar, just done completely differently.
I was going to ask the very same question, esp since I hate doing the crab stitch lol

Should we call it a reverse crab stitch? Nicely executed can't wait to try it on my nearly finished blanket, thank you for sharing 😊
It is very much like a crab stitch, just a different way to do it, maybe reverse crab stitch would be a good name! 😊
That's a great idea! Simple but effective. Thank you Tuula 😊
Glad you like it!
Like it. Nice. Sandra B.

Great, I agree,it is a good choice for many projects!
I love this way of crocheting an edging. It looks so much easier that doing the Crab stitch in the usual way.
Yes, I think it is, looks very similar though not the same but more pleasant to work than crocheting backwards!
Woah. That's cool.

That's a great idea! I should try this with a hdc!
Im making my first blanket now and i think ill use this for the border!
Great!
🧶❤️👏👏👏🥰👍😍😘
What about for a leftie,do I twist clockwise?😮
I can't crochet left-handed so can't try it. But it only makes a stitch one way so if you try both ways, which one looks right.
Good e zi work.❤
I like this!
