      As a beginner, I found it the opposite. Even in slo mo I can’t follow how the initial magic circle is formed. Watching a very skilled person do something beiayifully is not necessarily very enlightening about how to do it.

    You make your magic ring differently and I couldn't get it to work. I used my way. I will come to it later and try again. On the circle, after a few tries, I finally got the trick and it looks fabulous. No seam and no chain three. I love this. Thank you so much for sharing this technique. All the best to you.✌🏻💟😁🧵🇺🇸

    So inventive. I've seen the use of the pull back through of the loop after the Slip Stitch also used to make a better color change in the round. Do you have a demo of that as well. Will definitely use this method in next hats and anything beginning with MC and rounds which are increasing. Would it also work when the round is decreasing?

Do you make 2 of the double crochet stitches into each stitch or do you skip every other stitch and then do 2 double crochets into the stitches? Why did mine like wave up in a couple places? I mean I will still use it as my coaster but. Idk. I used low pill yarn and a 5mm hook. I didnt feel like i tighted it too much

    • @massivecrochet
      @massivecrochet  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well, the pattern is definitely not the culprit for the wavy sections in your crochet circle. As long as you're following the instructions correctly, it will guide you towards a perfectly flat circle. The waves might be caused by slight variations in tension or hook size compatibility with your yarn.

      @massivecrochet  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, each row increases by 12 stitches. In row 2 you have 24 stitches, so in row 3, if you work the pattern correctly you will have 36 stitches.

  • @meandjeremy13

    I’m a little confused - if the (sc +1) is the first stitch and it is essentially omitted by slip stitching into the DC stitch instead, how does the stitch count equal still equal 12?! Idk why I can’t figure this out .. I’ve watched your video 100x.

    • @massivecrochet
      @massivecrochet  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because even if you make the slip stitch into the double crochet stitch, you are not actually omitting the sc+ch. The stitch still exists and the loop on your hook completes it.😊

    My magic circle always starts out okay and flat then by the 4th circle it's starting to curl. :( I have done the increase, I didn't put too much tension but it keeps curling. I use a 4-ply yarn and a 4.5mm hook. Could that be it? :(

    • @massivecrochet
      @massivecrochet  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The most common mistake is working the increases in the wrong place. If you're sure you're increasing correctly and not missing stitches, it's most likely a tension issue. It could also be related to the yarn you're using: make sure you're using the correct hook size for your yarn weight.
