Really appreciate this . We use this at my arcade for our stream , and did this using virtual audio cables / physically . It was a mess . Having heard this was a feature now I was incredibly pleased someone put together something like this on it . Thanks !
I’ve had the duo for 3 months now and have watched many vids. This was an outstanding vid. Just from watching this vid, finally figured out how to stop hearing my own voice!! Thank you
Huge props man, this was the most informative video ever. This is a great comparison to how major streamers/content creators compare to the small guys that actually have a passion and care about stuff, really appreciate it. I do have one question; is there a reason my faders don't affect OBS? I can adjust in OBS, but I'd really prefer the ability to just slide the slider down to lower the OBS volume. Might not be possible though.
One think i noticed is that the "Rodecaster Pro II Main Stereo" (USB1) is actually the System (Rodecaster), for IN and OUT. The Multitrack device is not usable anymore after you enable the Virtual Devices. And 1 downside is you can't control the volume of the System device in Windows / with other devices, so you have to use the fader on the Rodecaster Pro II or just the volume control in the app that's playing.
None of my system sounds play. When go go into volume mixer in windows, system sound option for in and out are set to default, and they have zero other options. Ahhhhhh, gonna pull my hair out lol
Thanks again Ashy. I have mine pretty much setup the same except I run all my browsers on virtual B, B for Browser, so I can split that off if I need to when broadcasting instead of having it on system sounds. I also use Nvidia Broadcast with my Mic so it filters out some loud background noises.
I’m experiencing a crackling sound on the virtual channels of my streaming PC. It’s not constant, but more like an occasional audio artifact. I already switched the latency setting from Ultra-Low to Low, but unfortunately, that didn’t solve the issue. Interestingly, when I swap the cables and connect USB 1 to my gaming PC, the virtual channels work perfectly without any crackling. This only happens on my new streaming PC, which doesn’t have the same performance as my gaming PC. Why is this happening? Any ideas or fixes would be greatly appreciated!
I've been trying to get it to send audio out to a separate DAC/Amp setup I have. Any ideas if this is even possible? Currently using Voicemeeter Banana for by multitrack splitting, but I'm trying to switch over the entire setup to a RODECaster Duo

@@josuemedina4183 Each fader controls the volume of its source in the MIX coming out of USB1 (or your headset, or speakers, or chat channel, or USB2 etc). They do not control the volume of the virtual devices if you add them as separate sources in OBS. Remember: The virtual devices are INPUTS into the Rodecaster not OUTPUTS from it.

Well I've spent hours trying to figure this out and I've hit a brick wall each and everytime. When I lower my levels nothing happens on my OBS software I can turn my faders all the way down and audio is still going through OBS or Streamlabs Desktop. When using the GoLxr I never had this issue. I followed this video from beginning to end I'm stuck.
@@rarebreedgaming716 With this setup, the only thing the RCP2 faders control in OBS are going to be the Main Mix and your Mic. If you add the virtual devices as additional audio sources in OBS, they are additional and separate from the mix and are controlled separately. Also, if you do add them separately you will be hearing them on their own OBS fader as well as in the main mix unless you exclude them from the USB 1 main mix routing. I talk about this at around 22:00 in the video.
Device Configuration > Output > Multitrack. Click USB 1 Output and turn on Post-Fader. Go into OBS and add an Audio Input Capture source and set it to System (Rodecaster). You'll be able to use your faders to control volumes that OBS captures. However this method will still include your music in your VOD.
