how to mute discord to main mix with this setup, i dont like having Discord playing over my stream at times. what would i UNSELECT to make that work?

hey man! if I'm recording in obs on the gaming pc, I get the clean mic signal from your tutorial, right? one channel is just mic and the other one is game audio, so I can record them separately

quick question, does the streaming software have to be open for this to work? In other words, lets say I just rebooted my computer and want to start streaming and I hit the smart pad that maps to the start streaming function? will this automatically launch StreamLabs or OBS and start the stream?

does anyone else have the issue that the gaming pc doesent regognize rodecaster as usb 2?

I have a Rodecaster Duo and a Rode Streamer X, have an ASUS ROG gaming laptop and a gaming PC. I want to run streaming from the laptop, play on the PC. The camera and game will be captured with the Streamer X, all audio will be controlled from the Caster Duo. At the moment it is the sound that I am having problems with. Any ideas for such a setup?

Any idea how to get the secondary audio to pop up on my gaming pc?

Since the DUO only has two inputs.. could you just use a single stereo 1/8 to single stereo 1/4 cable and get the same results?

I work with the Rodecaster Duo.. obviously I’m limited to 4 faders but I also don’t use a work computer or discord so I was wondering if I could basically use the fader you used for discord as the one I could use for my call of duty game chat?

Kudos on this tutorial! One question, though. Coming from the GoXLR my first intent for buying the RCP2 is to include the occasional podcast amongst friends. But seeing as the mics besides the SM7B will become line ins on this setup. Do you have a suggestion for additional mics later on? Whether it be an additional interface, etc? Thanks for your time and vids!

i'm having issues of , game pc audio does not transmit to and readable level on stream pc , game pc is secondary's , i have all inputs and outputs rodecaster provides in obs and cannot see or hear any coming in , should i have the secondary options for sounds also in stream pc as i only have "main 1 , chat" inputs and outputs on stream pc. I noticed in video you don't demonstrate game pc audio , can you demonstrate that for me or something?

Thanks for the video. Read through the comments and saw you mentioned to have the main mix as an input. Threw Main Stereo on Mic/Aux 2 and boom! Gaming PC Audio is coming through to OBS. Props brutha.

Seriously one of the best tutorials!! You cover all the bases with out any fluff! I went to Audio Engineering school and I was still having trouble figuring this out. Albeit I have a Apollo interface where all my sound goes to then out to my monitors and IEMS/Headphones. But yeah man AMAZING job!

How do i get to hear my game with spatial sound and the the rest of the audio with rodecaster ? Assuming I only use one headset

Hey man, i followed all of your routing settings and for whatever reason im getting this unwanted echo, i’ve resettled my RCP2 and tried re-configuring the routing however when i get rid of the echo, i can no longer pick up any audio to OBS on my streaming PC

Do you have any problems with the DUO when you switch things around? I don't have the line cords and the elgato. When I switch things around on the streaming PC and software of rode it messes with setting in the OBS and discord. Any clue how to fix it>?

Hi man! Can you please help me figure this out? I used to plug the IEMS into the PC directly and get Dolby Atmos for audio spatial sound, but at this moment, with the IEMS plugged into the rodecaster I can't turn it on. Can you help me figure this out? Thanks a lot!!

I use the duo with Switcher Studio in the M1 iPad Air usb-c, I would love the midi to control 1, 2, 3, & 4 keys on a (virtual) keyboard as this would cycle the 4 cameras, now that would be cool

Didn't expect to se NADESHOT here🤣but yes, I had the same problem as well. Your 1st troubleshoot you gave Nadeshot worked for me👍🏼 audio input etc. THANKS‼️

Would this work with wavelink (stream deck +) to control the extra virtual channels? My situation is a bit different as I need the ability to use 2 mics so I’m going to be picking up the rodecaster duo.

The newest version of this midi is 3.2.0 and is quite a bit different than what is shown in this video. 10:13 - here is where the new version, 3.2.0, looks very different than what is shown in the tutorial. Although you can still follow it, it looks a little different.

What confuses me the most is the Line In/Out of my computer. The Line Out (green) from the mother board goes to my speakers. Then my Line In (Light Blue) in the mother board is what goes to my RC. If I connect the Line Out to the RC... then I'll have no audio to my speakers...?... Or I'm stupid? xDDD

How did you split the audio sources on obs for each source like Spotify etc

I just bought the rode caster duo. Did a similar set up to you, but added rode unify to route my discord and music to separate channels. Nice video!

Sorry if this was explained, I’m an amateur at this audio stuff haha, would a device like this allow for 3 audio tracks in OBS (on the streaming/recording PC)? Such as 1 track for Game and system audio coming from the gaming PC, 1 track for my microphone, and 1 track for my friends in the discord, im looking for 3 seperare tracks so when I edit a video in, I can individually edit my discord call to be higher than the game or my microphone audio for example, this is something i can’t currently achieve on my GOXlr setup because I have to use the goxlr on my main PC (because I have a MacBook, as secondary PC. Long and possibly complicated questions, thanks.
