I’ve been saying it for years. Even before the Ls was a thing. The sbf sounds better than any v8. Period
Engineering side of things, it's all in the firing order.
@@SN95SVTif you take an LS and re-number the cylinders like a sbf, they have the same firing order. Ford was onto something with the HO and 351 firing order.
@PetesGarageandperformance Yup. That's why they chose it for the Modular family too and I trust John Coletti's opinion on the 351w firing order. It is the highlight of Mustangs from 1982-2010. Unfortunately they switched the Mustang Coyote back to the original 1-5-4 firing order (except for Gen 2 & 3 f150s which have the better 1-3-7 firing order.) They accomplished their mission of branching the Coyote off in a different direction to target a new generation of people by doing that.
For such strange problems, at least the wiring looked pretty neat and well labeled. Good video as always, thanks for sharing

i 1000000% agree that a SBF sounds way better than any LS. im a LS guy myself but ive always thought Fords sounded much better.

You do good enough tech break down, them sbf are an eye opener , wish my sbc 400 makes that kind of power, only I have a smaller vs turbo, 80/85 t4 1.25ar.

13:00 @Joe Simpson When you said the VE peaked at 111. Are you using the flex table to add fuel or is the 111 the total? Still tuning on mine but my VE is around 170 at 15lb on e85 and I’m not using the flex table. Does that sound right or should i be looking for a problem?

Sounds like the fuel pump/ water pump is connected to a dial up modem!!

Dude, anybody that would argue against you saying that small block Fords sound better would be an idiot!! All I would say to it is... DUH!!! They also sound better than a small block Chevy, big block Chevy and pretty much anything else too!! That's been the consensus since I was a kid 100 years ago! Lol plus, I love my LS but they don't really sound that good.. LT sounds a little better but as long as it doesn't sound like a coyote, I'm ok! 🤮
