Hey man, I just wanted to say thank for all of tuning tutorial videos. I just got back from the tuner today and he said the tune I put together was so good that he thought I had already had someone tune the car. He actually knocked $200 off the tune price because it saved so much time having the idle and cruise dialed in so closely. It was all from stuff I learned in your videos.
Bubb Rubb killed me 😂😂😂 I’m switching my 1970 Trans Am to Holley Terminator X EFI with coil near plug. Your videos are a godsend. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Just wanted to say "Thank You" for spending the time to do what you do. Please continue to do so. It is starting to make sense to me little by little. I have signed up for your "Tune the Trilogy" for further knowledge and I am looking forward to your next video.
I’ve been tuning my first turbo LS with terminator X and your videos are helping a ton. I’d love to get it to you once I finish getting the bugs worked out on the new build. Could you do a video covering cranking/startup tuning and how you normally fix issues with them?
Thanks for the amazing info im a beginner tuner so any lil bits help a great deal really appreciate the videos I go back and rewatch a few times to pick up any lil info I can
@20:58 You're right Joe, that's the bypass valve that comes with the 8 psi base kit, they're usually only good for 10 psi and then they do exactly what you're experiencing. I've had one that got me to 12 psi but wouldn't hold in the higher RPM range. Definitely time for a real BOV.
@21:10 Can also see in the video that the belt is flapping around in the higher RPM range. Either a massive breaker bar or get the tensioner adjuster from Anderson Ford... it really does help with tightening the belt, especially if you're doing it by yourself 🤙🏼
Hey mate been watching another of your videos very informative. Looking to build a supercharged 383 I understand how busy you are just wanted to know if you could recommend anyone in Australia 🇦🇺 to tune a holley system?
Joe - you mention the 02 takes forever to heat up and start working properly. Do you see this often with the Holley Term X? I have a Term X stealth trottlebody and my setup spikes at 35.6 for 10-20 seconds then settles back to normal on most every start up. Some times it doesn't do it though , which even makes it weirder..
Question for you. Terminator x max, DBW turbo 5.3. If I have recently hit the brake or I’m power braking the car I can’t get much throttle response. It’s almost like it’s limiting my throttle input. Is this some kind of safety or setting? Is it something I should change or leave it alone? Maybe adjust my brake light switch on the pedal? It’s wired to that switch
@@JoeSimpsonAtTempest Thanks Joe 🤙🏼 I have both a supercharged & turbo Ford Foxbodys. The supercharged is a SBE 302 with a Terminator X so I really appreciate you doing these types of videos & all of the other TermX videos you did... I found useful knowledge in each and every video you've done regarding the system so THANKS AGAIN! 🤘🏼🤙🏼
@12:08 What do you have the learn gain % at? I initially set it at 100% to see how far off the fuel is and then usually bring it down to 25-30% so it's not constantly populating with the slightest change in TPS/MAP. What did you have it here?

Joe we all appreciate the schooling
Joe! Love your videos man. Keep up the solid work 👊👊😎
This is great stuff sir! I used to bog the turbo cars down in high gear and load with the car's brakes on an early 248 dynojet with no load

This format is also great. Thanks for all the extra work to make videos.

I have both , a 700whp S550 Whipple 2.9, and a 01 TransAm 6.0 with a 88/103 turbo and they’re both so fun to drive in many different ways

Dude, I'm sending you a bearing for that fan, I couldn't handle that. Good video though, especially like the 45hr warm up of the wideband, 🤣
Funny. You send the bearings and I will send the tube grease.
Joe Simpson is a superhero for the DIY guys
Amazing work as always.
How much timing did the supercharge car have in the end
Such a good video. I learned so much.

Sheeesh that cam on the supercharged car is nasty. Trick flow stage 3?
Great 👍🏼 video.
impressive comparison, thank you!
Thanks for the tutorial

Maybe the supercharged car sounded amazing in person, but that turbo car!!! What exhaust is on that thing, it sounds incredible in the headphones?!?
When are you going to start the tuning classes
Hopefully pre release will be here very soon

Anyone ever use the second fuel pump output control on the holley to activate the meth injection?
Joe I can see the supercharged car has the Ford IAC.. does the turbo car have the Ford IAC or the GM stepper?
Ford on both

What gear are you in on a pull for a automatic transmission? I know dyno normally is programmed for 1:1 ratio
The auto car was in 3rd. Manual was in 4th
Joe, will you ever film tuning another brand ecu?
I could just not doing much if any others at the moment. There is so much Holley work

What did you have it here?
I don’t remember probably 30-40
9:40 ish where do you find these gifs? Lmao
Call me crazy, but I miss the dirt bike kids. 🤣
Dives into the toilet 🤣🤣🤣
