I was diagnosed with cancer last November (Diffused Large B Cell Lymphoma Aggressive )! I should have died but didn’t. I completed all six cycles of EPOCH-R chemotherapy in April and had my post 45 day PETScan and review Tuesday with my oncologist. He said my prognosis is neither good nor bad; it is in the middle! I said that’s a wonderful place to be …. in the middle way! This body has been a cause of great suffering; but now I know it is also the way out ! { The body is a community of cells! Human cells and non-human cells. } My cancer is blood born! Blood cells mutating and turning on each other! Interesting? Why ? On the outside, you have human beings turning and killing each other. Is there a connection?
How are you my brother? I hope you are still well.. Thay's teaching is so inspiring.. He is a true continuation of the Buddha.

My father became quite the alcoholic and a sort of domestic tyrant (verbally abusive, violent, cheating) until my mother had to divorce him. If he's in me... That really sucks! But actually I know he is... I see it clearly. That's why I'll never marry or have children, and I try to practice so that negative inheritance can not arise (too much)... 🙏

I dont mean any disrespect, but, I have listened to hours of Thai now and cannot figure out why it is useful to know any of this. It doesnt change my life one iota, although, his calm voice helps me sleep on difficult nights.
Did he ever say it is useful to listen ? I did not hear that; only some western philosophers put emphasis on useful ideas, Thay turn attention on the pratice of breathing, walking, tidying things, and verify by yourself that it helps. Thay never said : listen to me and that's it. Madame B. Goode, c'est tout.
When you’re thirsty, do you ask yourself why you are thirsty? Of course not. You just know that you are.
