This is positive power of the Internet. It means I can watch a talk from a Vietnamese Buddhist monk in a French monastery recorded 16 years ago, while tucked up in bed late at night. The sharing of incredible wisdom from a master of his field. And its completely free.
I hope you've continued to follow the wisdom in these teachings. The internet can be such a positive place. I am so thankful for access to these teachings.
I was somewhere in the audience during this talk. I remember it. It is so radical. Thank you Dear Thay. I miss you so much. You have brought so much healing to my life.
RVN vets woudl easily qualify as I do. But I have seen many shades of hell right here on this planet. This guy is the real deal and very down to earth indeed. Makes all the new age fools of todays internet marketing shams look like fools with his simplicity and total lack of hype ! Just very simple answers and direction.
Yes but its amazing how quickly you forget how hard hell was and get comfortable in paradise. Thats why you need to remind yourself how it was and appreciate everything.
Excellent this is the kind of positive material , taught by a real master of Buddhism, that I never tire of watching over and over again! Thank you 🙏 ❤
My honor and gratitude to you and your teachings Venerable Thay. Specially In this phase of my life this Dharma Talk is the best medicine to me in order to get my physical recovering. Evangelina Cortes.
I've looked at a fair few religions and I think my beliefs line up the best with Buddhism. I believe there is a sanctity in everything and the only true way to become closer to the divine is to recognise and respect that by truly understanding it and seeking out more about the universe and our world. No religion should negate humanity and life to focus on god but it is through our respect to all life that we unknowingly dedicate our lives to God.
I feel constantly blessed by every teaching he has recorded his books I believe are also a mine of wisdom for a soul wishing to return to the self he reveals through the simplicity of returning to ourselves through mindfulness, for the past 3 years I have listened enjoying the teaching, wandering back to a less mindful life and returning via his message, Rest In Peace Gracious Zen Soul thank you for your Gift and your Service to life 🙏🙏🙏😎👍
It is your seeking mind that finds your teacher. Wherever you and she/he may be. In any medium or dimension. Teacher and student find each other because of the infinite grace and power of the teacher and the brilliant and resilient light of the student. We are lucky beyond words to find.
Words I did not expect to hear in a dharma talk by Thich Nhat Hanh: "Bose-Einstein condensate." I was not sure what he meant by that either, or how it related to meditation! But I kept listening, and I'm glad I did, because this is a very detailed and practical dharma talk. 🙏
Amazing Truely this knowledge really needs to be in our education systems The children of our World would truly benefit all Helping to understand and help one another This is our Golden moment of the hour Always love ❤ you❣ Master Thay ❤ Namaste 🙏🌎❣ 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
The master held me by the hand as we traveled through limitless consciousness that knows no boundaries. I still speak to master through all the noise produced by this universe of human created pain and suffering. Blessings to those who seek Inner peace.. May you find what you are seeking..
I am very grateful for the considerable body of lessons accumulated by the Plum Village Staff...to hear Thay's gentle voice on a wide variety of Dharma subjects, provides great comfort for me... Thay is very much alive in my heart, spirit and mind...in me, he will never be silenced...
Thich Nhat Hanh the greates teacher! The ultimate is real and true. It takes practice. Love who you are as you are within; what you love you will make interesting.
Thank you so much Venerable thay. Your wisdom is amazing. I do my best every single moment in order to practice your teachings. Thank you for the great community you gave us. All of them are extraordinary teachers of me. Evangelina Cortes.

This shows the great lengths to which we have gone to deny our sin and damnation, and the gift of salvation by faith in the only begotten Son of God who shed his blood to redeem us from sin, and rose from the dead as death could not hold him, giving eternal life to all who believe on Jesus from the heart. You must be born again, born of God. John 3:16.
Please don’t stay in the wrong perception that your upbringing or religious teachings have brought you to. Don’t you see that the very teaching, that you believe is from God, separates you from others and from God. Do you really want to worship a god who would create all life and then like a child, condemn it all to hell, and then, like a narcissists, claim that he sent his son to die so we (that it created) could beat death? Why didn’t this god create us perfect to begin with, not with bodies that age , that require consuming other living things to continue to live, that suffer pain and death? The Creator is loving and flows through all of us if we allow it. We are here to experience life in these bodies, with all their shortcomings, difficulties, pain and ultimately death, so that we can understand and appreciate pain free eternal life. PS the Creator doesn’t mind what you call it, it answers to all who seek a genuine authentic relationship with it. And it loves you so much, and wants you to love others without discrimination.
I am watching this while I am getting covered in Smoke and my eyes are burning so they can cook beans and nourish this body, and I cannot help with feel infuriated like this man is living on a cloud very far out from reality.
Basis of Budhism is reincarnation and law of karma . The necessity of Budhism is impermanence , sufferings and concept of no soul . Budhism is Guiding us to remain in human world and heavens until final stage is attained 🙏🙏🙏
That person coughing is teaching us to be mindful. (one more than others) was probably the only chance for them to be in the presence of Thay. What an honour and privilege. Let’s be happy for them.❤️
Finally someone else said it! I don't know if it's the uncomfort of being in a dry room with silence or If people genuinely think other people want to hear them cough their lungs out but honestly I can't watch any more of these videos because of the non stop abrasive coughing
44:10 "In the Buddhist tradition the way of looking is quite different. We think of the human person as having form [body], feelings, perceptions, mental formations and consciousness. And these five elements, they INTER ARE ... one of the five contain[s] the other four." [Bohm's holographic view of the universe.]

I find it difficult to be aware of my whole body/all my cells. I can understand taking time to scan with awareness each part of the body...but how can one notice the whole thing at once? Can anyone offer advice?
It is a process my friend and you improve with practice. The more understanding you generate the better you are getting. Until you're aware of what your body needs. Much love ❤️
Thay translated right after that already. Going for a walk in an open space, you should walk with your feet, not with your head. If with your head (mind), you will get lost.
Pls look pass the coughing guys. Science has proven that sound and frequency cures all, those people walked in wanted to be healed and is getting that. The body reacts and heals through these talks!
Hi, I would like to participate helping with the translations, but I am confused when I get to the site you suggested in the comments. How can I do it?
Dear Beatriz, in order to use Amara you need your own Amara account. It's free and easy to set one up. And then you have to go to the Plum Village Amara page and add subtitles under the video you want to translate. amara.org/en/videos/create/ If you decide to go for it, do let us know if you need further assistance after setting up the account. Thank you! 🙏

I feel exactly the same.....we are truly blessed to be able to see & hear this beautiful human being 🙏
I first found a talk of his online 18+ years ago. He has always been one of my favorite humans and I’ve never actually seen his face
Couldn’t agree more
I hope you've continued to follow the wisdom in these teachings. The internet can be such a positive place. I am so thankful for access to these teachings.
I, too, am thankful...he died just a few days ago, and seeing these talks again is so gratifying and comforting.
I was somewhere in the audience during this talk. I remember it. It is so radical. Thank you Dear Thay. I miss you so much. You have brought so much healing to my life.
That idea, that people who have been in hell are lucky because they have the capacity to recognise when they are in paradise, is really beautiful.
Some r afraid of hell, some aren't, because they've been there, and survived. When it's your turn, may it pass quickly.

@@pushthetempo2 yup. Don't be attached to anything. Clinging to paradise is just as wrong as trying to fight suffering.
The most inspiring and beautiful human of the modern era.
One of the them.
♥️ Precisely.
He has lived his entire life on buddhist lines.
I agree 🙌❤
Indeed. And he is inspiring both in word and action. And then of course there is the story of his life, and the example he sets for us.
Just listening to this peaceful man calms my soul. Anxiety just dissipates. What a profound teaching and presence.
Yes. His presence. His understanding 🤍

I totally agree with you
Agree. I like Buddhism because it's so non-dogmatic. Just look inside and see truth for yourself. No need to convince anybody of anything.
Like Buddhism isn't about a "God" or "gods". No duality. "God is not an object." as Ramana Maharshi said.
I so agree. With this, the exercise of being humans are evident- simple and innate.
And the belief will prove just to be thoughts
Coughing meditation is wonderful… seriously I love this for relaxation and enlightenment
This talk gave me a real sense of peace; thank you so much for making it available.

Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour"
This was a deep Dharma talk 🤓
As always, Thay's humour is top tier 🚀🚀🚀
For everyone commenting on the coughing, skip to 1:32:00. Thay has a teaching to help you with this suffering 🙏🙇

This is a lovely dharma talk. NOTE: subtitles are inaccurate in this talk. In particular: "Walk" is typed as "work" repeatedly.
When he writes on the whiteboard, it’s stunlocking ASMR. It just freezes me. 🤤
What a dhamma talk!
What is it about Thich's speeches and one or two people coughing uncontrollably in the background for the entire thing?
I am watching this while I am getting covered in Smoke and my eyes are burning so they can cook beans and nourish this body, and I cannot help with feel infuriated like this man is living on a cloud very far out from reality.
Such peacefulness in his voice❤
Assalamualaikum
It is rest Drive with true passion 🇮🇩
The constant coughing needs to stop...go outside for the sake of others. Such an important talk should not be missed.....such wisdom.
it is considered very disrespectful to leave no-one is allowed to leave until Thay has finished
Basis of Budhism is reincarnation and law of karma . The necessity of Budhism is impermanence , sufferings and concept of no soul . Budhism is Guiding us to remain in human world and heavens until final stage is attained 🙏🙏🙏
Who creates who is wonderful
Thich has not coughed a single time and he is probably the oldest person in the room...
Cough cough cough
That person coughing is teaching us to be mindful. (one more than others) was probably the only chance for them to be in the presence of Thay. What an honour and privilege. Let’s be happy for them.❤️
Finally someone else said it! I don't know if it's the uncomfort of being in a dry room with silence or If people genuinely think other people want to hear them cough their lungs out but honestly I can't watch any more of these videos because of the non stop abrasive coughing
We need a lecture on Mysophonia and mindfulness
It’s in every video I have seen of him too. Do they follow him around??
Crazy that people would be clearly sick and continually coughing in a crowded room like this.
44:10 "In the Buddhist tradition the way of looking is quite different. We think of the human person as having form [body], feelings, perceptions, mental formations and consciousness. And these five elements, they INTER ARE ... one of the five contain[s] the other four." [Bohm's holographic view of the universe.]
felt that 🦈☸⏫
The best and all, but who knows that person who keeps coughing In the background, this is not the first video
That person shouldn't have attempted all these talks. There ain't a single one without coughing. Its mind boggling
Thich Nhat Hahn - Bhagavat!!!
This man was my friend I know his family that was killed in California 1970 my friends and me was buda monks family I never seen none of the families I found out that many of the buda monks and dolly lamas was dead that I was with in California my nick name is indianka.
god bless you
I think it must be really cold there 🥶 you have to experience the cold though to appreciate the warmth 👌😏
It's definitely cold. Can't you hear all the coughing?
My.friend Tich... Thanks for your love 🤍🤍🤍🌌👆🏼
I feel like I'm auditing a philosophy class taught by a Zen Master.
Every cell is turned on pinging off every tower in the world. I was waiting on " hell's bells " to start playing .
We should all fight the good fight
I didnt say that
"Fighting the non-fighting Fight. That is true fighting" Oh its so funny and wise at the same time
could someone tell me the name of that bell he is ringing at the start of the talk?
It's called a singing bowl. Either a Buddhist singing bowl or a mantra singing bowl or an ohm singing bowl.
The kind of bell is insignificant compared to the mindfulness it generates.
He is incredible the coughing made me loose it 😂
Master lives forever in my blood in my will teacher lives forever sacrifice spin it you know you can
5:41 Thay speaks of the Vietnamese “ghata” - and what follows seems to be spoken in Vietnamese? Can anyone please translate & add to the subtitles?
Thay translated right after that already. Going for a walk in an open space, you should walk with your feet, not with your head. If with your head (mind), you will get lost.
Spiritual enlightenment: now with 30% more algebra.
lol
Pls look pass the coughing guys. Science has proven that sound and frequency cures all, those people walked in wanted to be healed and is getting that. The body reacts and heals through these talks!

I always hear every video since 3 years. But ever since there is always attendee who is coughing. Is this a part og mindfullness?
analog video was so much better in fluidity ! than the high res digital we get now that seem to have lost that presence.
Focus on Thay's beautiful voice, watch him closely and let the coughing fall away, this way you "touch the wonders" of his presence.
Thigh is my ninja
Why is there always so much coughing in these videos?
Dear Honorable Sisters and Brothers, is there any dharma talks of Sư Ông in German or with german subtitles? Thank You very much!
[ 25:17 ] the fight of the non-fighting fight
Honestly I would love to watch this but the people coughing in every single video destroys it.
