I put it to the test: I worked in a pharmacy that was mostly toxic and a terrible situation, and I practiced mindfulness. It worked. I was able to go back to happiness even at the worst moments...strangely, even when I was unhappy and suffering, i did really learn how to suffer better and it really did make a difference.
Having watched many vidoes of this great teacher, this one is such an honest and frank approach to our failings as human beings. We can all learn so much from this great spiritual teacher. Thankyou Thay 🙏😔
I felt the same way and a young Buddhist monk explained to me yesterday is a fantasy and tomorrow is a fantasy we have right now and that's mindfulness my friend.
Thank you Thây! Your words give me the strength to continue my mindful practice. Thank you, Sangha, for uploading these beautiful videos. Greetings from Spain 🪷 🙏
There are two forms of being in this world. In survival "fear" and living "being present with no worries of past or future". Many or caught up in the former.

Every single video has an obnoxious cougher. Love hearing him speak, can't get past the coughing. I have much to learn
There are hundreds of people in this room, that is why Thay is there too. If there wasn't anybody in this room to cough, there would be no video.
Why not practice having compassion on the person who is coughing, who is probably in discomfort ?
❤
sometimes i wonder if homeboy became a monk in part because someone broke his heart, but maybe i am projecting
Homeboy 😅
you would not believe what happened to me, but I am sure many have it a lot worse,
❤❤❤
How can one get English subtitles on this?
What about when destroying the people around you is the same as destroying evil?
In every video there is always someone coughing😂
I wanted to die, he didnt pull the trigger I had to go back to my dads...,

I'm not that nun. I'm different than her.
Is it the same people coughing in every video? What is going on? The matrix?
Is awareness of distraction distracted?
