What’s up warriors?! This is one of the most requested sports specific follow alongs so I hope all you climbers out there enjoy. If you have any requests, feel free to leave them below 🤙
I'm a climber and have been using your channel for about 6 months now. Primarily for accessory mobility/flexibility work. Thanks to you I finally feel like I'm really using my hips and glutes on the wall properly, and my shoulders feel healthier than they ever have! Thanks for this one and keep up the good work man! 🤙
Climber here. Saw this video posted in a climbing thread. Thank you! The wrist exercises alone are extremely helpful! My wrists have gotten very tight from years of climbing and I've lost a lot of range of motion in them. There are the usual basic wrist stretches most of us do, but the first 4 alone you've introduced (open finger wrist rotations, closed fist wrist rotations, straight arm opening fingers, bent arm closing fists) helped so much more. The tightness in my forearms, wrists, and elbows are a lot more alleviated than they have been from other basic exercises - just from doing this once! Will be doing these more! Thanks for sharing.
Dude! I love your videos and I cant explain how happy I was to open TH-cam and find out you created a routine that fits my needs as a climber.. keep making such great and professional videos!
Love the routines Tom, been a huge fan for nearly a year now with you being the main guy I watch. I was wondering if you could do some sort of playlist showing all the different stages/ levels of flexibility/ mobility. This way we could compare to see if we would still be classed as beginner, intermediate or advanced etc
After years of bodybuilding and now learning to climb, this is probably the most important thing I could be doing. Losing some overall weight wouldn’t hurt either 😂
Climber here, originally found and started following your channel to supplement my climbing with daily flexibility routines. Awesome to see one targeted specifically at climbers. Very good workout overall, one addition I would have is ankle flexibility, it can be super important for dropping your heel to get more of your shoe's surface area on large, slippery holds. Definitely hip flexibility is too priority though, and shoulders and wrists are super important as well.
I have followed along with this more than 50 times I think 😅. It would be so nice to have another follow along for climbers with more exercises 🙏. My body feels so much better every time I do this! 💚
Already a huge fan of your channel. Started climbing 2 months ago. Went to search TH-cam for bouldering stretch routines. Obviously you have one! Thanks for all that you do!
Yes Martial Arts Speed Flexibility would be awesome! But seriously thank you for all this great content, it’s really helped a lot of us out during this time for sure!!
Yay, this is the one I’ve been looking forward to the most. Perfect for climbers and no excuses now to work on our flexibility whilst we can’t get out on the rock. Thanks so much.
Hey Tom, I’m a fellow tall guy (6ft 3) and I started calisthenics around 6 months ago and you have been the biggest inspiration to me, and as a climber myself I have to say this notification was a fun surprise to see in my inbox
I always struggle to get a decent forearm warm up when I’m climbing outdoors. The first few exercises I’ve never seen before and really get the forearm worked. Nice one Tom 👍
such a great routine, I just started climbing and I can confirm mobility helps a ton when you are on the wall. Ever since I started using this routine daily I can climb so much better than I ever could before. Keep up the good work. The new rings routine for beginners is awesome as well btw :)
Weird, I wonder if some algorithm sent you all the climbers! I’m a climber and I’ve been following since the quarantine began in March. Really great, helpful content.
i love all of your videos especially the follow along ones. i just recently got into your videos but i really like them. you have a follow along for almost every part of the body but i would personally really like a follow along for the back core and neck
Very nice routine for aerialists, too! I started aerial silks last fall and Tom's other videos have been really helpful in working on my splits, pull-ups and overall mobility. Huge thanks!
I love your videos Tom! Huge fan ! I just found you and I’ve been doing a lot of your stretches ! Thanks for all your content. You’re so knowledgeable . Keep the videos coming .
Hi Tom, I'm 48 & started bouldering 3 years ago. I played rugby until my early 30s and have always weight trained at home to keep myself fit. I use of your flexibility/mobility routines 5~6 times a week and really like this new one specifically for climbers. To try & progress at climbing I use the Beastmaker finger board, however I suffer from carpal tunnel in both my wrists, it flares up usually after climbing to varying degrees but after any sort of finger board training it becomes really bad. I have watched & tried some stretching videos on TH-cam but they haven't really worked. The obvious answer is to stop or prolonded rest but at my age I lose strenght and flexibility very quickly and whilst Ive cut the fingerboard training down to once a week I'm still tortured during the night with CT. Have you any suggestions? Cheers John Marshall PS. Keep making the routines they're absolutely brilliant.
Well done! Brilliant video! Got me psyched to improve my flexibility, I've been climbing for12 years and I have overlooked that aspect for far too long, Thanks!
Amazing Tom! Incorporating this to my stretching schedule right away. It'd be really helpful if you'd have some list of workouts in your website, app, or a video, that explains the best combinations of stretches and when to perform them (just a suggestion). For example, PNF quarantine routine+climbers mobility on rest days, dynamic stretching every morning, squat mobility before training... etc. PS. The description in the video says "short flexibility routine for swimmer", I guess you copy-paste from that and forgot to change that line.
Thank you for this, I have a desk job so my hips are RUINED from sitting in a chair all day, hoping some of this will help and I can get back to being a bendy climber again!!
Perfect, thanks! Pretty please do some cycling related ones next, either a generic one or then even specific ones for road cycling and mountain biking (I personally do pretty much everything from road to downhill) as they share some similarities but also have some specific demands.
Hi Tom. Thanks for the great videos and resources on your youtube channel and app! I am training in contemporary dance and I find the body weight strengthening and mobility work in your videos to be great for cross training! I do the mobility drills most days and it really helps with contemporary dance (back rolling, sliding, jumping) I wondered if you could do a video specifically on strengthening and mobility for dancers? I know this is a strange request but it would be a great help during this quarantine where it's hard to practice dance. I'm trying to build up shoulder strength and general active mobility. Thanks ! Molly :)
Great routine Tom. Thanks!!! Maybe you should do a routine that works out antagonist muscles of the ones mostly used in climbing and stretches the others (latissimus mostly), to avoid tha arched back
Thanks Tom! These follow along routines have completely changed my mobility! Have you considered one for CrossFit yet? Thanks again, keep up the awesome work 👍🏼
Thank you so much Tom for this routine exercise for climbers. I have been suffering from an epicondylitis for more than a year. Actually, we discovered the tendon was torn, and I went through a Tenex procedure. Long story short… your routine exercise was an absolute game changer in my recovery, which was hardly picking up, due also to office/computer daily work. I am now back on the seventh grade although I am 55 already and steadily. Keep your routine with any claim I am doing. Quick question, I was wondering if this routing would be more beneficial when we start Climbing or when we finish the session? Thanks a lot again for those amazing guidance.
@@BodyweightWarrior Oh, I see it now thanks! I also have a question on handstand, everytime I do it and keep a posterior pelvic tilt and squeeze my glute, my butt goes out idk how to fixphotos.app.goo.gl/7yNLzb5HuzbhK4d78
// I noticed a lot of his progress clips from the past are filmed in climbing gyms so I wasn't as surprised when this video came out. Appreciate it Tom! Wonder how much of your non-climbing training would translate if you got back into climbing
Muchas gracias, lo incluiré a mi rutina antes de escalar, excelentes estiramientos. Si pudieras más adelante publicar algunos video para fortalecer los dedos de las manos.
Hey Tom, very nice Routine. Can you comment on when / how often this Routine is meant to be performed? Before climbing as a warmup? Daily? Or is it more a 2-3 times per week thing like the hamstring flexibility routine?
Hi Tom, love the videos! Could you please do a flexibility or mobility follow along for cyclists? I recently signed up for my first triathlon and would love to complete the collection and have your routines for each activity? Thanks!
First Tom I would just like to say congratulations of the ! arm handstand , I just watch your video today and I'm posting congratulations here becasue I wasn't sure if you would of seen it if i posted in your last video . Also Thank you for this video as it will be very helpful
Hi Tom! This was great, like all your other follow-alongs, thank you. They’re perfect during quarantine! 😊 What would be a good strength and conditioning workout for climbers? Just to be ready for the day when we can climb mountains again 😊

I have been doing this for 3 days in a row and I love it, very efficient and target a lot of important part for climbing
As a quarantined climber this is still deeply appreciated, those wrist stretches were great!

I'm not a climber but this is perfect after using the hands a lot for office work 💯
The upward dog is perfect at the end. Gets me every time. Thank you. My favorite routine. Want to be a climber. My legs and wrists need it.

I do pretty much this exact routine for every climbing session. People look at me funny but I know it helps me stay as injury free as possible.
Woah! Been following your videos lately, as a climber, did not expect this! Thank you
would love an updated version of this - if you have any new movements!
