@@bamf6603 The New Testament of the Bible will tell you exactly what the film means.
Morpheus: "The very minds of the people we're trying to save, and many of them are so inured and hopelessly connected to the system, that they will fight to protect it".
Many believe that they would take the red pill if presented with it, and many people are saying that they want to know what the film means, but the film is saying that most people are not ready to hear it and will fight against it if it presented itself. If you're willing to hear it, and convert if necessary, the message is in the New Testament.
Matthew 13:9 - Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

    • @davemccombs

The concepts in it are practically ancient, the mask it wore was just the tech boom and people's ignorance toward computers. Simulation, ego, etc
To think it's gotten more relevant in time because of anything that has happened in two decades is to take a very microscopic view of the themes of the movie and, sadly, kinda miss the point

    • @Bi0Dr01d
      @Bi0Dr01d 2 ปีที่แล้ว +25

@@davemccombs What you're saying is true in a sense, but at the same time, everything has double meaning, and It ultimately leads back to the supernatural.
If a person interprets the film to say that it involves governmental control, this is partially true, but it's not the ultimate message. It's interpreted in terms of technology having control, this is also partially true, but not ultimately.
The film is about the supernatural. Just as we have a natural government, there is a spiritual government which influences the natural government, for example; a supernatural realm behind the affairs of men, their technology, and their systems of control.
Agent Smith is not part of the government or technology, Agent Smith is a supernatural entity. In the third film, he is presented as the Antichrist. This is why there is one main agent Smith that can fly (the Antichrist) and also a large mob of agentsmiths who are just standing by watching the fight between Neo and "Super Smith" (the antichrist spirit that deceives the whole world).
It's not about technology. However, technology does have an influence because it is one form in which Satan can keep the mind of person occupied and off of God so that he would never attempt to break free from the system to obtain salvation.
This is why if we look at the film from its surface appearance, it will not inform one of what is ultimately true about the film, because the film is trying to instruct people to look past the physical things.
*Bane:* _"That's it, Mr anderson. _*_Look past the flesh._*_ Look through the soft gelatin of these doll cow eyes and see your enemy."_
Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I was having problems with connecting to others but my mother told me that if I'm only focusing on what I want I block out the needs of others and I end up less aware of my world. What I got from that is that I have to be aware of my actions otherwise I'll be led behind while others succeed in life. My cousin also told me that I've got to increase my discipline if I want to become a better person or move beyond what I think I couldn't accomplish before. Moon's explanation of the Matrix reminds me of Plato's Allegory of the Cave. In the cave people are born into a system to believe in shadow puppets, which is not the true reality. Believing in this false reality keeps those that cast these shadow puppets in power. It takes a person that questions these shadows and take some steps to discover what is real, that may lead a person outside the cave. Once that person steps outside the cave, they see true reality out in the sunshine. At this point those that reach this point wants to bring this knowledge back to those trapped in the cave. However, those that remain in the cave may actually prefer the shadows and puppets, and want to attack those that have seen the other side....

One of the best quotes from this movie actually comes from Cypher who says, "ignorance is bliss" and "I don't want to know nothin". I think that speaks to how a lot of people think and feel in the world. It's not even necessarily that they don't know or that they don't care, but sometimes knowing things can be scary and changes your perspective on life, so ignorance is indeed bliss for many. I find that when I woke up to a lot of things it really made me question why am I even here stronger than I ever did before. It also brings a level of paranoia that people in ignorance do not get, and I'm sure they sleep quite soundly at night not having to worry about the horrors of the real world.

I and many others were physically annihilated by the overloading truth bombs in the movie. When I stood up, my mind opened. Some philosophers have wondered on a concept known as "thing-in-itself", which basically translates to how reality is at a base level regardless of how it is perceived. That is, we as perceivers don't have access to the way things actually are; our perception is like a prism that filters it so we see it in a certain way that is not fully representative of it.
Some think it is a viable concept, and/or that there is no reason why we can't know or perceive things as they actually are. Some don't.

This film is so complex and profound. Truly a favourite among us freedom pursuers.
I think one really interesting point is how the matrix required the very people it enslaved to survive.
Just like The Matrix, government and corporate entities require us to conform to their wages, hours and conditions, which can change at any given time. In this sense the 'system' is made up of people following words on paper. It's a strange yet fascinating world.

How do you feel about trans people?

    • @electropocalypse5877
      @electropocalypse5877 ปีที่แล้ว

@@seffer9772 Deep question but a good one. I'm gay myself and I have one bar friend/acquaintance who is an M to F trans person. I believe it completely goes against nature, yet I also firmly believe in freedom of choice and doing what makes us truly happy so long as it doesn't harm anyone and is not forced onto others. LGBT-themed entertainment and schooling should also be reserved only for older kids/teens in my opinion. Parents that take their kids to pride festivals are insane... people walking around practically naked, vendors selling 'phalic' molded popscicles, and other such public deviancy.
I'm anti-LGBTQ as far as the far left stuff goes and it's extended to nearly the whole community at this point. My trans friend agrees and feels that trans women have an unfair advantage in sports.
I saw at Vancouver airport there hangs a pride flag right next to federal and provincial flags. This community stole the rainbow. It's also claimed that the word 'queer' was stolen and taken back. And now they've added more people to the plus than ever (i.e the various genders, animals, non-human identities and so on). The only solace in this insanity I find are the many gay and straight people fighting against the agendas, especially the ones that have been implemented in schools.
SO! To wrap it all up, I don't like trans people less than any other person. There's a great quote you might have heard from Martin Luther King suggesting to judge others not by the colour of their skin but rather by the content of their character. Nothing is ever completely what it appears on the surface and thus politely asking each other questions without fear of being offensive (or causing 'microagressions') is essential to our development. It's impossible for humans to grow without making mistakes and learning from them.

The creative minds of the late 90s and early 2000s saw it all coming, they knew that societies around the world were soon going to fall into a deep and endless pit of nihilism, they knew that big corporates and tech companies were soon going to be even more powerful than before and influence our thoughts, opinions and values through social media.
Just look how corporate and monitored the internet has become today, once upon a time in the early days of the internet we were excited because we finally found a way to share news, thoughts and our opinions directly with each other without the influence of TV and mainstream media, but look at it now, most people on the internet only gather in a few specific and tightly controled platforms where everything is monitored and if you say the wrong things or have the wrong opinion you will be banned and removed from that platform, people only stay in their favourite digitized bubble and only consume the "truth" that suits them, the same manipulated truth that corporations and elites want them to feed on.
So they tried to warn us in form of movies, books and even video games (Kojima's MGS2 is a perfect example) but most people didn't listen and wrote these warnings off as unimportant entertainment junk and anyone who actually listened and opened their eyes would just be called a conspiracy theorist and get laughed at, showing how much of a tight grip the rich and the powerful were beginning to have on everybodies mind. i just hope that it isn't too late, that we still have some time left.

I remember those early days of the internet, and agree on how dead and lifeless it has become today. But like the early days of the internet something else equally as good will come into play in the near future, and again become twisted and corrupted over time. It's the hero's journey taking place not just in each of us, but also in reality. Cycles within cycles, within cycles. History repeats, nothing new under the sun.
It all comes down to perspective, you can add up all the bad things and generalise everything as bad, or do the same thing with the good. You can also just see it as part good and part bad. Or just see everything as a natural function of the dualistic reality we live in. Everything has polarity, the bad facilitates the good, just as much as the good facilitates the bad. If there is any imbalance in reality, it's always counterbalanced otherwise there's no polarity, without that reality ceases to be.

Matrix is not just another movie, matrix is for the most part a lesson much more than just some cool characters and action scenes.
There's so much philosophy crammed inside the movies that it feels like they were created by Socrates.
Descartes dualism( basically deals with what is more real our physical existence or our mind, )a good example of that in the film is the steak scene in which the actor states he knows it isn't real but it feels so real to the point it basically is( yea i bet you didn't think watching this scene it was so deep)
Platos allegory of the cave ( basically it says what we feel ,see isn't necessarily true it's just the way we process it and what we experience could be false)
Kant's philosophy of freedom displayed in the blu red pills scene ( we'd rather be clueless and happy or knowledgeable and miserable ?)
Hartman's brain in a vat ( basically he stimulated a brain with electricity and made it believe different things, the stimulant was always electricity but the variety of feelings the brain produced was different like pain, pleasure, grief etc
There's so much in this movie that as a student of philosophy just clicked to me and it is so deep and meaningful)

Deep. So many ways to explain this movie. Also heard the notion that Neo exited one matrix and entered another...the same routine on the space ship (eating the same meals, etc.) Cypher tried to escape that matrix (although his actions were traitorous and damaging). They plug a machine in the back of their necks, so they have to be half machine...a good way for me to question everything...

I was really hoping they were going to explore that idea in Resurrections, but instead we got a hot mess of nonsense. It's really too bad.

The funny thing is The Matrix was filmed in Sydney 20 years ago........and real life Sydney has turned EXACTLY into this bleak existence

Such a powerful video that depicts the rot in the modern society.
    Here's my solution though
    1. Live a life of purpose and vison : it is easy to be sucked into the crowd and blend in with everyone else your true journey begins when you decide to be you.
    2. understand that reality is different for other people so don't expect everyone to understand you and don't burn yourself out trying to get everyone on your side. Remember that the word enemies exist for a reason.
    3. God gives purpose and with him finding purpose can be easy,, the creator has the Manual of our lives and so he can point you to the right direction.
I hope that one day I'll be able to make these kind of engaging videos, currently I'm pushing KineMaster to it's limit cause that's all I have, at least I'm living my purpose and I'm creating videos I believe will help people. I think that that's what matters.

Believing in the “Creator” proves you are an NPC in the Matrix. There’s no bigger blue pill than believing that a magic sky fairy is going to let you into some magical place to reunite with your family after you die. You are a sheep.

That's cool and all but this does not change the fact that in Antarctica there are 21 million penguins and in Malta there are 502,653 inhabitants. So if the penguins decide to invade Malta, each Maltese will have to fight 42 penguins

      Good Question !
Unlike in the movie our 'matrix' is flawless designed. Humankind can't escape this system on his own, only death can set you free.
Even if you are aware of the matrix you'll never be able to break free even if you give up everything you love.
Your parents, wife, children, addictions and so much more. And the people who can give it all up, well they'll end up with NOTHING.
Which brings another matrix to the table. The matrix of having nothing in a matrix.
Dont follow the white rabbit, Mr Anderson.
