There is a lot of musical imagination in the pretty head of madame Eliane Elias. She is an INTERESTING piano player. She takes these worn-out melodies to places where they have never been before. It is fascinating, stimulating and fun.

Even in her younger days Elias was one of the best in the world on piano.

Mr. Leonardo Colossi: at 6' 40'' - if you don't recognize ''Águas de Março'' start up, and later at 8' 40'' - Àgua de Beber'' - perhaps you either hadn't listened through the entire recording or you are unfamiliar with either of these peices. Any person that is familiar with these peices would recognize them imediately. If you don't appreciate the intro - that is with you, but I for one think it's great and a refreshing, personal approach. (Regarding the intro. - Even if you don't feel it beforehand, in the minute or so prior to the first piece of the medley, the intro aludes to both. Even if it didn't, it could and would be acceptable, even by your apparent harsh standards. Nevertheless, if you are at all familiar with the pieces, and still wish to be a fair judge - because you have placed yourself in the position of ''a judge'' despite your apparent limitation in perceiving what you hear , for some reason, and evenso still wish to be ''a judge'' of the work of others, then you should at least be familiar with the subjectmatter. Most people perceive art and expose themselves to it, for reasons other than wanting to be ''a judge'' of works of art. Many, and anyone of us, even when more familiar with any of the arts and perhaps more easily equipped for any reason to ''judge'', can still be touched and appreciate a work as any other, free from the burden of wanting to be ''a judge''. This is one of the beauties of any Art.).
I will thank you, however, and despite finding your comment to be rather odd (to say the least), because it helps me relay things I always thought to be obvious to most of us, and even if perchance it isn't your case.
Have a good day, sir. Because of you, and your remark - eventhough it is utter nonsense, I'm going to listen and enjoy this once again, as I'd unfortunately only heard it once or twice. But it deserves to go to my list of ''favourites'' next to the work by some gentlemen, and by some other ladies. Love it. I'm listening to it, and it makes Easter - or the pre-Easter moment, more shiny.

Margarida Costa you are totally right. It’s amazing the way she plays with the themes of both songs using them as leitmotifs for a beautiful composition. She’s a genius!
