Not only is Elias keeping alive the bossa nova flame but, her husband adds a gorgeous solos with his bow. What can’t these guys do! (That’s not the first time Johnson got my attention. Just listen to him with George Shearing do Good Morning Heartache. I still can’t get his bass out of my head.)
I followed Marc Johnson when he was playing with an acquaintance friend of mine, Joe LaBarbara with the Greatest ~ Bill Evans! I caught Marc playing bass on a Fantastic version of The Girl from Ipanema with Eliane . I've been a Major Fan since. What an Amazing talent she is ~ playing piano, singing, composing, arranging ~ The WHOLE PACKAGE! Come to the South East Coast ~ PLEASE!!!
Her husband played with Bill Evans. His talent shines through on all of Eliane's songs. Pretty magical pairing. Saw them at Monterey a couple years ago and the sound system for her show was the worst I've ever experienced at that great event. She handled it like a pro and her set was still outstanding.

Eliane is just amazing! I have almost every record she has made. I hope to see and hear her live some day. This music is so warm and sexy. It makes me so happy every time I hear it.
I like the first part, just voice, guitar, bass and percussion, awesome! Pitty that the guitar player took off when there start swinging, awesome solo that bass solo with bow! That the best drum solo I ever heard, that guy is just amazing!
