Welcome back! How has your week been?
Mine has been pretty productive. Getting our spare room ready for guests has been so much fun. I think looking forward to family visiting has really lifted our spirits! Seeing this room come together in our Log Cabin is so much fun. Most of our decor and furniture came from our old house in Ontario. The bed frame that we bought from amazon was the first piece of NEW furniture we bought for the house....oh wait we did buy a coffee table before the bed frame. I love how it all came together and the Douglas mattress is awesome. We were worried about buying a mattress that we weren't able to test out before buying but its awesome! Maybe even the best mattress that we have ever had!!
For all of my empty nester friends let me know how you came to terms with becoming an empty nester. We miss our kids and grandson so much and hope that this pretty room will entice everyone to come for a visit.
I really thought that I would get this vlog shot in one day but it took WAY longer. Hope you enjoy! I love that you took the time to hang out with me while we are transitioning from our Ontario to Nova Scotia move! All of your comments have been so sweet and have made a world of difference!

Looks like you are doing so well there now. I am sorry to hear about your past work colleague, its a shame that some people delight in bringing misery to others..... Enjoyed seeing the room come together, it looks amazing! I do use a sheet under duvet but that just cause I hate to struggle taking the duvet cover off to wash it , easier for me to wash the sheets every week lol. Also, my late partner was cold all the time and I was too warm so I would flip the duvet from my half over my partner and I'd just sleep under that sheet. Ah, love menopause haha. I literally laughed out loud at a few things you said today, I so could hear those words come from my mouth. I hope you have a great time when your company arrives and wonderful long wknd. Its chilly in BC as well so you aren't alone with cold mornings!

Hi How close are you to Vermont and Maine? Blueberries are a big deal there. I think Maine is the #1 place where blueberries are grown in the U.S. anyway. Glad things are going better for you guys. We aren't to far away just a ferry ride to Maine..... I think there are some blueberry farms here as well. The lil old men eating them outside of Walmart always make me smile!. Fur babies are great and like to be spoiled.... so I am guessing since Wally is an only child he is good and spoiled!
