I bought my Swiss Tool X new in 2004 when they were introduced. I carry it everyday. I'm really disappointed that there are no repair parts for it. The knife is worn down half way and the scissors are loose the file is worn and the saw is dull. The knife and file really need to be replaced. With a heavy heart I've ordered the Bibury Pro as a replacement.
I admire swiss engineering but prefer the strength of the Leatherman Surge. I honestly don't see my Surge breaking for the next 50 years but if it does I'm very tempted to try the Bibury at that price point. Thanks for sharing your review!
I like being able to justify a premium purchase because of the care and R&D that goes into it but... some clones and other kind of tools are definitely getting better and for what I might use them for... hrmmm..
The bibury wave clone I have has been perfect. The surge clone unfortunately has not and is the worst fit and finish I've ever seen in a multitool which sucks because for the most part they seem to be made well
