      You know the term cultural diversity means absolutely nothing to any kid taken from their home. People eat, sleep, breathe, live and die all over the planet. We, all people need cohesiveness at this time.No more division. Love one another. There is nothing wrong with letting children experience different cultures, but the term is used as a political weapon here. This country has many cultural groups and dividing them, with loaded terminology, has helped to destroy this country. We are all Americans.

      I wasn't adopted but like you I had a really special bond with my Dad. I'm the second child (now a 44 year old adult) and since my parents already had my sister they wanted a boy but in those days they didn't test and I was another girl but I was always a Daddies girl. I was also very close to my Mum as well. X

      Foster care IS A NIGHTMARE🤬⚰️💣⚰️!! BE A FOSTER PARENT FOR THE KIDS NOT THE MONEY! ALSO JUST CUZ THE ASSHOLES WHO STOLE THE CHILD DOESNT MEAN THE PARENTS WERE ACTUALLY NEGLECTFUL... MY DAUGHTER WAS ILLEGALLY KIDNAPPED A WEEK BEFORE HER 8TH BIRTHDAY ON 9-6-2019. SHE TURNED 11 ON 9-15 THIS YR. NOT CUZ I NEGLECTED HER. BUT BECAUSE I HOMESCHOOLED HER AND DROVE TRUCK AND TOOK HER WITH ME TO WORK CUZ ONE I COULD AMD 2 I DONT TRUST PEOPLE. I DIDN'T GIVE HER DRUGS OR SODAS OR MSG OR FAST FOOD... I GOT ALL OUR MILK EGGS AMD MEAT FROM THE FARM. APPARENTLY ILLEGAL AND ALSO DIDNT HAVE TV OR INTERNET ALSO ILLEGAL. NOT ONLY HAVE THEY BRAINWASHED HER AND NOT ALLOWED HER TO BE WITH MY PASTOR OR FRIENDS OR EVEN COME BACK TO ME EVEN THOUGH I DID EVERYTHING I WAS SUPPOSED TO DO LIKE QUIT MY JOBS... THEY HAVE NOT EVEN ALLOWED ME ANY CONTACT... DEATH SEEMS TO BE MY ONLY PEACE AT THIS POINT. THE STATE HAS BROKE MULTIPLE STATE AMD FEDERAL LAWS AND VIOLATED CONSTITUTIONAL AND CIVIL RIGHTS.

    Peter, when I'm a bit older, I want to do what you do. I'm 25 and not really financially ready to foster plus my current apartment would be considered very small for an adult and a child. I would also like to give the kids a garden and more of a peaceful nature home. But one day soon I hope to do the same. In healing their wounds, you are also healing your own.

    I'm 41 and wishing I could be your foster kid. My birth parents/family were horrible and cruel to me my entire life. Not having a supportive or loving parent. Going through abuse physically, sexually, verbally and mentally was all I knew. People don't understand how hard that is. How much damage it does. The fact that you take these children in and give them everything they need to heal and feel loved is a freaking miracle. You are an angel sent from God. I wish so badly I had met someone as awesome as you. You are literally saving these children's lives. If I had met someone like you, I wouldn't be the messed up freak I am today. I might have had the chance of a normal life. But it's too late for me. I'm so happy seeing you save children from my fate. Thank you for all you do.

      @@sparklypinktrex Hi, Spark. I understand how damaging abuse can be. I’ve gone through and struggled with leading a healthy life, but I’m here to say that it’s possible. You can do all these things, but trauma has, perhaps, limited you into thinking that you can’t. You can function like any other person. Just want to say that you’re not alone and if you don’t mind my adding this, God loves you. You’re precious and important and full of worth.

    • @ec9833
      @ec9833 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey…I’m autistic, too. 46…similar experience in life as you and I’m just finally healing in the last year. It’s not too late, though it’s still a privilege to even be able to heal in this existence, this society & if you’re in the US, this backwards, archaic “culture”. But, if you can find a high quality therapist that understands the highest efficacy modalities…there’s actual, real hope that can quickly reveal results. Quickly. Seriously. No more just talk therapy. Things that honestly truly heal at the core. As weird as I might sound, let me know if you would like to have some guidance in what to look for. It can be extremely difficult when we don’t know what to ask or what to look for. But, I swear…there’s time and it no longer has to feel like some sort of concept meant for anybody but us.

    I raised 5 children. The way to get past the yuckiness of diapering is two-fold. First, try not to focus on the mess or smell. Just get the job done. Second, it is a perfect time to show love. Look deep into the child's eyes and say I love you with your eyes. Say love phrases and silly, playful things. Don't sneer at the mess or say, "yuck" or "gross" or anything of the kind. You've got this! It can be a wonderful bonding time if you let it be.

The siblings didn't want anything to do with her. It was very hard as she was coming off meth. We had just got the older ones stable. They ended up caring for her though❤. Then we got another sibling. They didn't want to break them up and most homes are rated for babies, or elementary, or teen. Not all!!! They told us there was no one else. We pushed through but it was HARD. Church family and friemds stepped up to help or we would have collapsed.

    I respect you hide your children’s identity. They do deserve privacy and obviously they been through a lot or they wouldn’t be in the foster system in the first place so happy they have a loving home now.

    You are an awesome dad! I was in two foster homes when I was 6 and I know that experience is very scary at first n can be tough in some cases. I absolutely love the way you take care of the kids in your care. You are such a blessing to these beautiful children!! Thank you for being such a great father figure for them and future kids in your care.

    I commend you so much for helping the siblings Stay Together it is very hard to do that in the system.They usually break them apart unfortunately and that's hard on the kids. it's nice for them to have that support of each other .I was a foster mom for 4 years it was a great Growing Experience for me and such a blessing ❤. Thank you for all you do you're really good dad and person. Your family is beautiful.

    Peter, you have a heart of gold taking care of the children of others. Can you share with us how CPS agencies ensure that children will be safe from sexual abuse in their foster homes? Please don't take this as any suspicion about you - God forbid! I am just curious how agencies take precautions against sexual abuse because I hear so many stories about it.

    Peter I commend you and your patience. I have 4 kids myself and it is definitely a lot of work. ESPECIALLY with my twins who are 2 (almost 3). My two oldest are 18 and 11 and they help a lot. I'm also married but my husband works a lot so it's mostly me and the kids. I say all that to say that I am in awe of your patience and the smile you keep on your face. You are an inspiration. I will definitely get your book and share your journey with others. Much love to you and your family 😊❤️
