Hey Peter, my aunt used to foster and one of the key tips that she used to live by was purchasing a crib that can convert into day beds and full-size beds to accommodate any age child so you’re not constantly buying cribs and beds over and over. She just stored the different size mattresses and whenever she got a child of a certain age she would just change the bed to suit that age!!

He clearly said that he gives the family the things he buys for the children when/if they move on.
He said most things, not beds.

We adopted all six of our children 5 of them through foster care. It was a very interesting ride. I was adopted as well. You are such a blessing

I love how Peter turns all things into a joyous experience for these kids. With the gender reveal it was something that they possibly miss out in their own families seeing their own mom get pregnant. Peter makes them look forward to everything in their life and feel like a true family. Peter is such a wonderful man. I can imagine his videos alone have encouraged hopefully thousands to want to foster. We have our first home study this week and alot of it has been encouraged by seeing Peter's videos!!! I took care of my daughter almost exclusively with second-hand items and clothing. Money goes a lot further, and she still had quality name brand things.

Peter, you are awesome. Your heart touches me deeply. I was abandoned at birth by my birth mom, placed in foster care, and thankfully adopted as a newborn. How many times have a filled out paperwork for foster care but for some reason never follow through. I have a special place in my heart for children who have been displaced from their bio parents. Thanks so much for all that you do.

A suggestion Peter. Give each kid a suitcase if you can. That way if they have to move on to a different home & or onto reunification, they have a nice storage solution that is theirs for where to pack their things when they leave from your house

You can go by the fire department and they help to install car seats and make sure they are installed correctly.

I am so glad their are safe and loving Foster Homes like your,s.There are so much Abusive Foster Parents that God Forbid are allowed to foster or even adopt kids that upsets me.But God Bless you for being a good foster parent!

Sorry but I think babies need a woman who makes a mother roll specially at that age. I can’t imagine there is not any other foster home fits better for this baby.

@globetrotter6127 it's a sibling of one of his other children!! He states they keep them together wherever possible. Also it's not the sex of the parent, it's the love, respect and ability. Peter has all that and more.

That is a massive car seat! It looks like it could hold a gorilla! My son was born in 1969. You would be shocked by the flimsy little contraption he was in. I'm shocked right now just thinking about it.😳 How fun to have two girls in the house, and I'll bet you've got eager little helpers, there.🙋♀💞🤵♂
Make life easy! Bring the car seat to the fire and/or police department. They will install it for you the right way. Even if you already installed it bring it by and let them inspect it to make sure it’s in correctly. You’d be surprised at what you might learn 😄. Also, shop at Walmart for baby stuff. It’s so much more affordable. Good luck! You’ll do fine. 🍼👨🏽🍼👼🅱️🎊🎁🥳

I love that you try to keep the kids together! I also love that you give the kids that you have, the stuff that you bought for them when they leave you! Love that you are getting another girl! Love that you took Anthony's crocs! You are a better person than I am. The hardest part that would bring me trauma is that of being separated from time to time with the kids and families that I have made relationships with in the journey. You got the easiest car seat to install. Now just make sure that the harness straps come out from a little lower than her shoulders. Just a tip for this particular car seat, if you need to uninstall, unbuckle the seat belt first and then open the clicktight door, if you do it the other way around, you risk breaking the clicktight mechanism.

At first I read the title and interpretted it as the placement being 15 months long. Then I realized the child is 15
months old. I was all set to provide respite weekend care for sisters 3 and 4 years old. I had a room set up with 2 large cribs, had bought some cute clothes and shoes. Then I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue and
fibromyalgia. The specialist told me I should definitely not go ahead. I was very disappointed and never was
well-enough to try again.
baby at 15 months knows that a loved one is missing, this is not my home, you are not my momma....this gonna be hard

Peter, thank you for all the amazing work you do. Just a tip, if you have an IKEA nearby, they sell some good basics for kids. For example, they have an inexpensive high chair that my kid loved. If you have to buy everything every time, this might be a good resource for good quality inexpensive basics. Target is amazing for the rest :).
Those Ikea high chairs are excellent we got them for the church cafe they wipe down brilliantly

Kids are a main cause of impulse spending 😂 and it’s the only kind of impulse spending that’s ok 😂 you did a great job shopping !!! We have a new store in our area that has slightly used items. It is called Hammy Downs in Grover NC. It might be handy for you to get familiar with them. They have all the things like you just bought.

So funny I'm watching this Peter...I just got a placement 14 month old and a 3 year old siblings...and I had the car seats installed wrong...asked someone at my job to help me secure them properly once I watched TH-cam videos to help me learn how...it was a nightmare...I dread having to take them out...😂😂😂😅😅😅

I had four children of my own. For the twins I made my own baby food. It tastes much nicer. I used some of whatever we were eating that night. That way they learnt to enjoy the taste of our family meals, and moving them over to mashed food and then ordinary meals was much easier. At that stage I’d expect her to be eating some mashed and some ordinary depending on what it is. Baby food is expensive and full of fillers and other unnecessary things.
