Yep, a big ish (not as big as yours but who’s comparing) one for winter and a short but sexy one for the summer that exposes all my hidden bits when things get hot...
Yes. And constantly trying to improve it. From hand-made back then as a student, to purchased: mesterila.wordpress.com/2009/11/25/parbriz-policarbonat/
Thanks for this video and the other about comparison test of Wunderlich vs GS std/adv! I was so disappointed with the stock R1250GS windshield, but now I definitely now what to do! And i do SO agree with you about the mix of screw heads on the BMW and accessories. Don't now how many screws I have ruined by now by foolishly using the wrong tool......
One screw to remove right side battery cover on the R1200GS. Exposed will be negative battery terminal and a very nice positive post that BMW thoughtfully installed which allows alligator clips to take whatever current your air compressor needs.
@LongWayHome I really enjoy your videos. If I understand this video correctly, you can install the left or the right or both. Which to configuration do you recommend? Do you recommend the reinforcing arm or is that overkill for Marathon II screen?
You have to be the funniest Romanian on TH-cam, and maybe, the entire World! I love your sense of humour and the fact that you speak very good English. I can forgive you some Americanisms, mainly because on one video you used the correct pronunciation of the slang word for posterior. That is in comparison to the Einstein “exceptional” country across the Atlantic who don’t know the difference between the Equidae Asinus and their elbow.
A pink blanket with CUPCAKES! I think you got the supplied mayonnaise all over your windscreen while doing the testing 🤪 Great video,al always! Say hi to Dave for me!
Is having the two windshield reinforcement ‘arms’ on both the left and right sides (part No. 43520-212) strong enough for riding at speed on the road with some off-road? Or do you think that the ‘additional windshield reinforcement’ (part No. 43520-302) brace across the front adds enough strength to warrant having it? …please
I enjoy your videos very much. Regarding Torx V's Allen head. I've been a mechanic for over 45 years. Allen head are far more forgiving when exact straight drive is not possible, also Allen head are more durable for receptive use. Ps.. How is the screen going?
I do it on the fly, but you have to rotate the bracket screws first, then adjust height, then tighten the bracket screws again. Not a mission, but definitely more to do.
The price Wunderlich asks for the reinforcements is criminal for a few pieces of sheet metal. Considering how expensive the screen is already, these should really be included if the shield is wobbly without.
How long did it take of install this screen properly? Welcome to LWH everyone, where getting your m/c news is easier than installing a Wunderlich MARATHON Screen, but not by much! ;)
I hate it when you have to have heaps of different tools because the manufacturers could not decide on what type of fastener to use. TRIUMPH not wanting to point fingers or anything 😂
First he says remove the black wind deflectors, "you don't need them anymore." Then later, if you look at the bike, you can see he put them back on, no explanation!
Hi from northern california wine country (that's on fire due to nature of God). Its 57 f .Temp. No wind. Hi will you be trying out the all electric scooters and or the latest price per service cost iin your area. I like your humor.
And put all over the screen your fingerprints. :) All Monk like people are close to heart attack :). Just joking. Thanks for the explanations especially about the grease and the lock tide which are delivered but there is no explanation in the doc where to put it.
Nice bodge, I mean job there bro.😣😏. I just still don't get it, though. Spend €20,000 on a "premium engineered and designed motorcycle" and then a have a part that doesn't do what it's supposed to so spend another €180 to put it right!! Or am I just being an old fussy pants???😏😏😏
Phil Morrow. The original screens work fine. I haven't needed to change mine. But some riders want extra protection so get bigger screens. They are people who also feel a need to use pink cup cake blankies. We in Australia call those people Nancy Shandy drinkers...
Could you please let us know where to buy, err I mean obtain legally (cough cough), engineering degrees in Romania? We have a bunch of politicians in Slovakia such as our prime minister, speaker of parliament (previous and current), and surprise surprise minister of education, who are really into that stuff. Not sure if they pay well, they look like a bunch of cheap asses, BUT in Today's economy, every penny counts, no?
Are you using an aftermarket screen?
Both bikes I own have after market screens.. Im not fortunate enough to own a GS but as usual still enjoyed your video
Not yet, might do just to get the wind of my arms a bit more. Other than that the standard screen is working for me so far.

Yes. MRA screen + Kedo height adjuster creates a 20cm higher windscreen (max.) on my Ténéré 700. 150km/h with open vizor. No problem. I'm 185cm tall.
Guys, don’t panic. Just been on the Wunderlich web-Site. Rusty pliers and pink cup-cake blankets are back in stock. I’m ordering mine now.
#legend
How do you manage to get so much information in so few minutes ? You (or Dave) are a genius !!
"Welcome to LWH everyone, where getting your m/c news is easier than getting a Tenere 700 for testing, but not by much!"
The screen looks the Biz! Great vid and actually of benefit aside the welcomed humour 😀

@4:20 MAKE SURE to use Locktite on those screws as well! My screen nearly fell off going off-road.
Try DYNAPLUG MICRO PRO INFLATOR, it won’t trip off your CANbus (less than 5 AMP), and it comes with the right powerlet type plug.

Could Dave provide a link to the rusty pliers or instructions to make my new pliers rusty.
I’ll ask my brother, anything of mine that he borrows comes back rusty, even if it’s made out of plastic !!!
This guy cracks me up!

Ya crack me up, luv ya stuff. Keep it up.......(and by that, I mean the video's). 🤣
Could you comment on or show adjusting the height of the Wunderlich? Is it still possible to adjust the screen up & down on the fly?
I do it on the fly, but you have to rotate the bracket screws first, then adjust height, then tighten the bracket screws again. Not a mission, but definitely more to do.
My winglets are 1 piece which is part of the front fairing piece. Does the whole piece need to come off?
I already have the left and right reinforcement.
Can I add the middle reinforcment without any problems?
Thanks!
Yup.
How essential is the pink towel, I only have lilac?

Can you please text the link to get all these items.
Where can i byu in USA ? This is what i am looking for
How did you fit 10 minutes of pushing and pulling a windscreen into a 7 min video?
Wine.

The patience to fit the screen and supporting brackets❌
I AM NOT YOUR UNCLE!!!
Chill out Uncle Andy!!! 🤣🤣🤣
If you’re Australian you are!
I can almost guarantee that Wunderlich installation instructions :(
You kindda stopped mid-sentence there....
Hi mate, sorry for harassing you.
How do I reach you?
Like physically?!? Bring some wine. Otherwise mail is in every video description :))

One big question. Puig or wunderlich or puig? Lol
at 3:28 he just skips the entire explanation on how to mount the side brackets...

Very poor install video. Maybe less trying to be humorous and more on the installation.
