Hi! I am trying to start learning VFX in blender and your videos help me a lot. I do have a question for you. For my first project I wanted to make something similar to what you did here, but I wanted to make the ceiling open up and then maybe some rays of light coming out and maybe change directions. Do you have any videos explaining how can I create those kind of light? Lov your work again and keep it up ❤
Great video as always. Can u make a video showing how to render beauty and shadow pass at the same time but in different pngs to composite in different app like after effects or nuke as I can’t seem to find any for blender.
Look up how to use the file output node in the compositing tab. That way you can render out as many passes at the same time as their own image sequences. Hopefully that helps
thats a great channel bro , just want to ask i am looking for a video how can make this open down plan look like the tower and not only a gray texture ?
Hi, Jacob, thank you for your tutorial. I have a question, how can I add a picture on top of the first layer (grey) before revealing the 3d room inside, I want it to look like a billboard
Hi it was a wonderful tutorial ! i followed every step that you taught, but in final render there is a tracking issue how to solve it can you help please
Remember whatever you see when you hit render isn’t what you see in rendered view in the viewport, that’s just a preview view. You have to go into compositing to add the footage back because anything you do in the compositing tab is what is going to render out
Hello, I am at a begginer level, how can I produce in AE or convert from VideoHive library to blender if I need to, to achieve anamorphic led video adv. experiment... thank you
Make sure you are combining the render layers node and movie clip node together using an alpha over node like I show in the video. The alpha over should be plugged into the composite node and then once you render it should be combined. Hopefully that helps
Add images as planes, import your png, select the faces or walls you want to place your png, shift +s cursor to selected, then select your png, shift +s selection to cursor and your png will jump to the selected area. Or select the inside face and give it a new material and unwrap the face go to the unwrap tab and place it as you like. I think this should work ok.
Make sure whatever node you’re viewing in the compositing section is also plugged into the composite node. That way when you render it should render what your viewer sees. If that’s not the issue then idk what it could be.
Honestly I don’t really know myself. I’m in the market for upgrading myself so I would just do some research and see what the program you use most often benefits from. In some cases programs are GPU focused so a cpu might be good enough.
I understand it's not my place to say, but just maybe, you might not be fully prepared for Jacob's content. People with an intermediate to more advanced level of Blender knowledge should be able to follow his tutorials without much trouble.

Does anyone know what the name of the program that animates the screens is called?
Hi it was a wonderful tutorial ! i followed every step that you taught, but in final render there is a tracking issue how to solve it can you help please
Could you explain your problem a little bit more as I’m confused why there would be a tracking problem since we didn’t track anything
Great job dude, can u help ? when i go to final render the footage disappear.

How you are getting render with the video Mine is only rendering the part we added?

Ye figure it out I started use blender today and I finished two of ur tutorials now its rendering second project atm thank you so much @@Jacob_Zirkle
Press Shift Key then you can partially zoom in the point
so helpfull 😭
if the holdout is transparent, why don't you delete the holdout faces or the object?
The holdout is transparent to the camera however it hides everything behind it. I use it to hide the sides of the inside in this specific tutorial.
How do I add a .png image on the walls inside ?
Add images as planes, import your png, select the faces or walls you want to place your png, shift +s cursor to selected, then select your png, shift +s selection to cursor and your png will jump to the selected area. Or select the inside face and give it a new material and unwrap the face go to the unwrap tab and place it as you like. I think this should work ok.
i followed your tutorial but if i render RGBA it still has a black backgroud, what i missed?
Maybe your composite node isn’t plugged into your last node in the compositing tab
@@Jacob_Zirkle probs solved! it's my "use alpha" in composite node turned off 🤦♂️ thank you Jacob!
Hi, I can't install the addon in blender 4.0, why?
What error u got ?? Like a big error message right
Hello. Nice tutorial! I seem to have a problem. when i import the image sequence it only shows the first frame. Any idea how to solve that?
make sure the naming of your image sequence is "_" before the numbers and press A to select all of them
how much for this in new york 3d brand logo making?
When i want to render animation, my background video does not appear. It s still transparent. But in view mode is there.
Make sure whatever node you’re viewing in the compositing section is also plugged into the composite node. That way when you render it should render what your viewer sees. If that’s not the issue then idk what it could be.
anyone in the comments that would like to make a project like this as a freelancer?

Would you recommend Ryzen 9 5950x for blender? What would be the benefits upgrading from a Ryzen 7 5800x thx for any advise
