I hope your video gets lots of views because it’s literally the only complete and comprehensive (writing and pronounciation) video on all Thai consonants. Thank you so much!
As a beginner and native English speaker, this is the best video I've come across for learning the Thai alphabet as well as pronunciations. Thank you so much💜🇿🇦
This video is on another level. By far the most detailed out there for learning the correct pronunciation and how to form the sounds. It is so deeply appreciated how much effort and care you put into this video. Thank you soooo much!
ngl, learning to write thai alphabet is like training my right forearm at the gym...I can feel the burn when I'm making the loop loop thingy. this is so complex and I love it, so unique. still learning how to write "tow-taan" wish me luck guys! 😁
I've once learnt Thai when I was 7 years old but it was difficult as I didn't have much interest in Thai language and can't memorize words. But now the age of 23, I found this video and this makes me have interest in Thai language again. This video has the detail points of alphabet and sound. It helps me a lot. ขอบคุณมากน่ะค่ะ คุณครู
I have searched so many videos on Thai letters. Yours is the only one making sense to me. Your instructions are so organized, well-communicated, and comparatively constructed so that we know the similarities and differences between letters. Many thanks!!!!
@@sawadee5862it's just the way their alphabet works. Like how most of the letters in the ABC song end with the E sound, like B, for example, but the B in bathe doesn't do that. goor is just one of the G sounds in Thai. It's like how we say, "A as in Alan" because we are clarifying how to spell a word, or "A(h)lan, not A(y)lan," we're clarifying how the name is pronounced. gai does the same thing: it's the example word. "Goor as in gai" it clarifies the tone
This is the best video, I found on this topic. He pronounces the words so many times, explains it extra times, goes over it multiple times. It seems so redundant, but oh so necessary. I like how he explains that the ,/sound/ and then the word. I got it. Thanks for this video.
You are the best teacher on youtube! your way of teaching is simple and straight to the point! you are great at teaching using sound to teach alphabet and words.... thank you for all your videos it is helping me a lot
Oh my gawd. So glad I found this channel!!! I was trying to learn the alphabet from a couple other places. They were either too complicated to understand the writing system or too fast to learn the sounds correctly. You even write it out and explain what's not used to write anymore and break down the tonal differences. I was getting so frustrated. THANK YOU SO MUCH! 😭❤
Thank you so much for your excellent teaching method. You have put a lot of work into your presentations, and it shows! As a 74-year-old retiree on her way to Thailand in the Fall of 2024 to apply for a Retirement Visa in the Kingdom of Thailand, I want to try to learn Thai! It's the least I can do, if I wish to enjoy a good life in your Country. Your method of explaining everything, from making us visualize exactly how the tones are pronounced, to showing us step-by-step how the letters are written, to telling us as we go what the letter symbolizes in Thai life, is so very helpful. You are truly a blessing for those of us trying so hard to understand this language, which is so very different from our own. I also want to commend you on your excellent grasp of the English language; it's quite phenomenal. Congratulations on the entire body of your presentations! Your videos will help untold numbers of people for many years to come. 💕👍😊🙏
Don't know if you'll see this but wow the most detailed thai vid l've ever seen, this is the first vid l've seen of yours, thanks for being so awesome.

I’m not gonna copy your video, but I will teach them as your lesson, and I hope that you will allow me to share your video to if they needed. Thank you for your precious gift 🎁 ❤🎉
Sawadee ka, Sobai Di mai? I was adopted from Bangkok when I was 6 weeks old by white Swedish parents and I grew up in Sweden and I don't know any Thai but I'm trying to learn as an adult. Khup khun ka. Learned these sentences from my luk kreung friends
this is so helpful, i love learning languages but ive never seen a video so detailed and helpful like this before. you put in the extra effort to show us how to shape our mouths to be able to pronounce the sounds correctly and im so grateful! thank you so much and i hope everyone can see this video
I’ve just begun the process of learning and was really struggling with grasping information until I found this video. Thank you so much. Appreciate you 🙏🏻

melhor vídeo para aprender o alfabeto tailandês! explica muito bem, foca na pronuncia e explica todo o alfabeto de uma vez ao invés de dividir em vários vídeos
🙏 Jack you did a great job! Your kind of presenting the Thai language is the only one I know where I can really practice to speak in a right way Thanks a lot!!!!
This video helps me a lot, I’ve searched a lot of Thai learning videos on TH-cam but I skipped again and again and finally I found your video, wow it’s very detailed and we see deeply effort on your lesson. Thank you so so much for your time and effort 🎉
I've watched a couple of videos about the thai alphabet but still wasn't able to know the correct sounds they make, but you explained it perfectly! ขอบคุณ

im in college at the moment and its so difficult as they teach too fast ....you make it so much easier as you pronounce everything clearly and spend time on each subject ....you are the very best jack thankyou so much
I don't think it is a good idea. The modern font is not meant to be used in handwriting, and it is vary from font designer to other font designer. But if it is a trick to read the modern font, then I agreed.
@Andre Paquet To be fair, it is used in most businesses in Thailand, not just restaurants From the mega mall to the products that sell in supermarkets, and from the advertisements to some official statement/apologize announcements, they're all use headless style font but they are not used in contact documents, books, official government documents, and handwriting. Unless you are an artist or font designer, you will have no opportunity to write it. To read the headless font, you should be able to recognize the difference between characters when the head is gone, such as ก ถ ภ, many headless fonts are replace head circle with the line to avoid confusion and represent the direction of the circle such as `b` part in ถ is replace with L and `d` part in ภ is replace with ⅃. And the loop in the body, such as น and ม when removed, will look like บ so the font may replace with a smaller loop or small triangle. Some head characters, such as ร that dont have conflict character when removing the head, some font may be replaced with a line, some may just omit it out. If you want to see example, you can search google with "ฟอนต์ ไม่มีหัว" (font, without head)
Your style of teaching is excellent, very clear, detailed and well paced for absolute beginners. Very much appreciated 👍 trying to become conversational in the next 5 months. Just starting out.
I hope your video gets lots of views because it’s literally the only complete and comprehensive (writing and pronounciation) video on all Thai consonants. Thank you so much!
Agreeeeeeeeee
Yeah it’s definitely the best I’ve found
I'm starting all over again. The other sites were rubbish..
Totally agree. In other videos not all letters explained
C’est quoi la musique où 😅😅
Jack you are the BEST: you understand the learner’s difficulties learning a new language.
You are the best thai teacher, no doubt
Agree
This is the best thai alphabet teaching TH-cam video out there. Only thing missing is not grouped by high class, middle class and low class groups.
As a beginner and native English speaker, this is the best video I've come across for learning the Thai alphabet as well as pronunciations. Thank you so much💜🇿🇦
