These facts share so many similarities with my native language, Burmese! I've been attempting to learn Thai lately, and trust me, it's like learning Burmese again from scratch. Because a single particle completely changes the word's meaning and pronunciation like what Thai does. I remembered my childhood having to repeat the sound of a single character with different particles/additional symbols, which also give different meanings. I also couldn't agree more with the additional word that adds the toning at the end of every sentence. We also don't add unnecessary words like pronouns and such. Sometimes when they're directly translated into English, it doesn't make any sense but for natives, it's natural. မင်း ဘာလုပ်နေတာလဲ။ (*What are you doing?*) _Used when serious or in the movies mostly._ ဘာလုပ်။ (Direct translation: *What doing?*) _Very common to hear this in real life._ အေး - Yes/Right. (casual) _[aye]_ အေး*ပါ* - Yes/Right. (neutral) _[aye-par]_ အေး*လေ* - Yes/Right. (depending on the tone, it could sound aggressive or soft) _[aye-lay]_ အေး*ပေါ့* - Yes/Right. (agreeing without suprise) _[aye-pop]_ အေး*ဟယ်* - Yes/Right. (eventually upon agreeing what one has said) _[aye-hare]_ ***All of the above can mean different depending on each individual.*
