I am proud to join the ranks of someone who painstakingly kept and built their first car thru thick and thin. You never see anyone regret keeping them.

That is the greatest looking foxbody I have seen, without even knowing how fast it is.
Definitely one of the cleanest fox body builds ever and I’ve been around the scene for a long time. My first one was an 87 as well - black 5.0 LX hatch with T-tops. Many fox bodies later and have a black twin turbo 347 93 Cobra. These cars can be absolute animals if you build em right.

I agree, my brother had a brand new in 1987 when that body style came out with only 225hp. Seemed fast then but damn 1200! Fun times!

The Saleen wing with the Cobra bumpers, side skirts, and tail lights look great on this car! I normally would swap a set of LX tail lights into any foxbody.... I like this car though.
Hardest Foxbody I've seen💪💪💪 I'm a owner of 3, all nice, 1 built up, but not that much power....sheeeesssh... awesome ride. I know 5-600 is alot of SHTF in a Fox, so I know you couldn't do much but look straight because you were pinned in the seat...lol

For example: You are responsible for bringing your fox to perfection.
Respect to the driver, he's has full control of the vehicle especially the power it puts down.. Talk about throttle control. respect
I wonder what it does in a quarter mile.
It's not even on 1200 hp in this video it's turned down and it had a slew of top notch products on it front to back this makes it alot easier. Having a proper tire also helps. With turbo setups you can have boost by gear and stuff this helps put the power down you get that with expensive stand alone ecu and stuff this car is very well done but it also has no expense spared and when you have something done with no expense spared it typically makes the driver look good.
To me the meanest Foxbody around. Keep blazing the trail 🔥😎

Sweet fox ! Man I miss mine everyday. Probably owned 50 foxbodies over the years but my favorite was my 93 coupe never had anything beat me out of the hole . Left out with the driver front tire off the ground. Torqued so hard it cracked my windshield and that was with suffrage connectors .never put a cage in because me being 6'3 my head almost hit the roof lol😊

I don't have an extravagant ride like this but I do have one I've stuck with for twenty three years...my 91 Civic hatch. I was 25 when I scooped it up back in 2000. There isn't a dollar amount I'd part with it for.

I CANNOT stand Mustangs!!! With the exception of the 1960s series and the Fox body. This is absolutely BoNkErS!!! Outstanding job on this build.

@ontosewing8784 being old you should know these cars are old and finding them in decent shape isn't that easy and when you do it's gonna cost. 15k now isn't the same as 15k 25 years ago inflation is a bitch. I know I'm old enough to remember being able to get nice foxes for 3-5k those days are long gone. You either have to accept it and pay what you have to or move on. 3-5k 25 years ago is like 10+ now just from inflation alone. Then you add that they're much harder to find now you can see.

Been around clean fox bodies for many years but you were sooo excited that it would have been nice to have actually seen or heard more about the build.
There are so many details to this car that a fox body needs to be perfect in my picky fox body eyes..lol..from cleaning up the engine bay to having a full interior with halo headrests, to being one factory color with the right body mods, stance and wheels..it's perfect..1200hp is just absurd though!!..lol

my first car was also a 87' GT / 5 spd manual. with that being said, can we please appreciate how badass it was for him to have kept the original dash switches and converted the one into a push button ignition! Foxes were the best looking / most badass mustangs ever when done right and THIS car........this car should be the primary aspiration to every car builder out there. this thing is perfection.
You can tell he has driven that car so much the way he keeps it in total control at them speeds he is one with the car 👌
That's what it's all about and how it should be. You can't get that with an auto driving for you not nearly as much.
Wow - Jon's Mustang has come quite a long way since the days @ Courtland :) Back then, I should of known the way he was repainting this car all the time that it would ultimately turn into this. I don't usually comment here but great video and glad to see Jon is still cruising in this thing.

Yessir, I agree with you on the turbo on that fox 🔥 My has a turbo 03 GT Mustang down here in Dallas , Tx and that second gear has a strong pull . Check it out on my channel man . But that Foxbody 5.0 SVT bad ass man 💯🔥🔥🔥
A lot of custom work on that fox. He put the roll cage inside the dash where the speaker was and it looks amazing.

What was the fastest year 1986 or 1987 Mustang? My buddy used to own the 1986 stanger and it was stock but super fast we had it going 260km and it felt like it had lots more to push out. Love these cars
