oh!!!!!!! yessssss. i was hoping for single character focus since as a new player its very hard to find info i can't access yet because its locked behind grind (and the wiki presentation is too dry). love your videos a lot. id love to see something on the horoscope storyline as well, but i love all content you put out so far-- so ill take everything i can get :^D
edit: i also love that you say "the captain" instead defaulting to gran or saying danchou, sounds so much more natural. PEAK!!!

Thanks, happy to have you around!
for now I'm still looking at plotlines that are "complete" to make these videos. First because it makes them have a longer shelf life. Second, I still dont know how I'd deal with multi-part videos or continuations. Still thinking about the models

@@DuckyTalksGranblue oh yeah, that makes sense! i saw a series on the what makes the sky blue trilogy by another creator where every event got its own video, but i suppose with event series where sometimes there are shorter 'breather' or like slice of life events inbetween it wouldn't make sense to give it its own video... tough question! in any case, I'm sure you'll figure it out :^)

As much as I love Fraux and her awesome design, the main thing I recall about her was her lackluster story. The whole "I'm so strong and beautiful nobody likes me" kinda had my eyes rolling. Tho to be fair, I think that's a fair plot point, being lonely as a result of that, but I didn't find it all that interesting and enjoyable to read, at least compared to another evoker I was investing into at the time, Nier, who arguably has one of the best stories of all the evokers, if not the best one. I was just glad to have Fraux eventually and play with her a bit.
Granted I didn't know about the story bits after uncapping Fraux cuz those cost stones, and those are waay too valuable these days to use on evoker S4 skills unless the character is broken and essential. Still I feel fraux's story to be meh overall..

Y'know it happens to make me feel abit sour when characters only get newer facial expressions when they are in an Event. Fraux for example, iirc, had a single facial expression until Tales of Arcarum. Facial expression really brings more out in a scene than the character having a static expression the entire time. At times its _okay_ but other times, you'll notice it doesn't fit the scene when it comes to other characters or you feel like more can be brought out of the character in a scene. 🫠

I agree. I noticed that after starring at her single face for hours while reading and editing this video. So many scenes where the text says "she's sad" or "her eyes are literally dead" and you look at the sprite and she's like :)
This often happens with seasonals, but it feels SO BAD when a regular unit don't have facial expressions.

@@DuckyTalksGranblue Reminds me of those days of playing Pokemon Sun and Moon with the MC doing the exact same things lol

@@DuckyTalksGranblue While I forget some of the context to this scenario, the granblue_en account told me an interview was done on this sort of thing, but it didn't really say anything about this facial expression issue.
It also feels kind of pointless to mention this in the feedback support function of the game. 😅
They do Q and A's every year too for Twitter, and I would love to at least have questions like this one regarding facial expressions here answered. But of course its a "randomized" kind of deal. They dont read every single question, but that's another reason why even something like that can feel pointless to get through to them and ask them about.
