Tank feels horrendous to play if the enemy team has a zen which I feel the majority of the time when I played ranked, they have a zen
And support feels horrendous to play against dive heroes. Same old, same old.
Tank just feels bad to play most of the time if your not playing the same 4 tanks since most struggle to kill things with new fat HP pools and no damage buffs
So dps can just get healed through damage but tanks can't
I’m a flex support main, so I don’t necessarily have an issue with playing Zen, but it’s getting so boring and repetitive to play Zen every single game

@@Truthforeals Even before Zen being meta right now, people wanted Bap nerfs. Even as a support main, Immort is so dumb. Nerf Discord orb, change anti to the dps passive, and change Immort to DR
I must've missed the update where her shield had the size of the Berlin Wall, and the reach of an ICBM, because there's no way in hell, heaven and earth that hit, unless her SHIELD counts as a slow projectile lmfao 2:21

As a Brig main: Her shield feels generally bugged (again). I charged multiple times straight through people with her normal charge, but her ult charge feels bigger. It's just as unreliable as the shield block from season 6 or 7.
Also a brig main here, wtf is this? What the hell!? This season needs some hit box tweaks but that is utter bull

It happens bc if you hit 1 person, the stunbox extends way further to potentially hit multiple people. The brig hit the Lucio first with the regular hitbox, then flats got caught in the extended one. Doom's punch also does this to a ridiculous degree. There should be a video somewhere by one of the popular doom players showing how it works

Change discord orb to reduce damage done by target. Opposite of damage boost.
If a Sojourn is pocketed by mercy, a discord orb on Sojourn reduces damage to offset the damage boost.
Gives some counterplay to damage boosting.

One thing a friend of mine suggested was that debuffs on tanks are 20% less effective.
Ex: Zen Orb does 25% damage increase, that tank passive would lower it to 20%. This would apply to other effects such as slows from Roadhog trap or burning from Ashe or Mauga.
I think that wouldn't be bad honestly and give survivability to squishy tanks or tanks with no barriers like Junker Queen.
Small correction: Zen’s discord is actually 30% so essentially it would be 25% if theoretically tanks got a passive for that. But considering it’s only applying to tanks and not everyone around, I think it’s better to just nerf the percentage down to 20% overall so it’s less effective.
A lot of people have been suggesting this for quite a long time and it seems like a good idea unless it makes the tanks unstoppable immortal machines
@@whatislife1337 I don't think it will honestly. There are plenty of comps and debuffs that can still melt tanks if done correctly even with this passive.

@@whatislife1337but at the same time, teams especially in lower ranks base their whole team comp around focusing the one tank, so i feel making them really hard to kill would force players to actually challenge dps or dive healers but right now people play tank busting characters or characters who play well into X tank and that’s just not healthy in my opinion.

We need to look into the DPS passive honestly. That shit is what fucking the tanks up the most.
I think the frustrating thing is tanks don't have consistency with their role passive. Either let them mitigate and reduce all manner of debuffs or work it into something else. Make DPS passive less effective, like 10% instead of 20% or make Zen's orb do less damage but still keep the 25% on other targets etc. Anything that does a debuff should be less effective on tanks because their whole point is being a wall. Let the enemy work on going around that wall, and the wall learning to reposition itself.

I really hate that tank gameplay is only corner-hugging now. The 20% reduced healing is too much for tanks to tank anything.

I knew this was going to happen as soon as everyone’s up went up and healing in the midnight hot gutted. If you have orb and are shooting your gun, you just get shredded

In my opinion it’s not really Zen so much as the DPS passive is way overpowered. I’ve had multiple people die inside of a Zen ult.
True that zen ult doesn’t feel as strong but that discord damage is nuts.
I'm not sure if I actually like the health changes since for tank, trying to kill squishies when they have a support with them sucks. The only way it's going to happen is if you have DPS there with you. I feel like if they were to slightly buff tank damage and survivability against debuffs, then tank would be more fun.
Would a nerf like discord being 50% less effective on tanks work.
All rebuffs and negative effect should be less effective on tanks. Like nade, sleep, stun

Discord should be turned into an ability that is linked to the harmony orb, like for example whoever has the harmony orb does bonus damage to the person who has discord and only the person that has the harmony orb does the bonus damage to the person who has discord. Thoughts?
As a support/tank main i know the pain and joy of this, personally I have been leaning on Rammatra use more. as at least at my rank nemesis allows me to delete Brigs as they tend to be over agressive, and I can outpoke a zen in omnic form and farm charge. as most zens again at my rank tend to hold back and play angles. On support I did start the season picking Kiriko but now just play zen, which i wish i did sooner as my placements would have been better. but in the lower ranks it tends to be team that picks zen wins. I think they just need to reduce his HP as a trade off for what he brings. Ive been able to hold points solo for far longer than what I should. I think if he was far more fragile so he becomes a risk vs the value he brings.

That brig bash is an old bug. 2:21 It's because the bash stunned the lucio it can sometimes stun someone ahead as well? It's one of the more rare bugs I get, but that's because I actively avoid bashing in this situation. Because what should've happened and what happens more often is it hits the lucio and thats it. I would've ran past the lucio then attempted to bash, because it was pure luck that it hit here. When it comes to amount of bugs brig is only bested by doomfist, it is impressive how many bugs they fit in one hero.
Any tank not dive, feels worthless this season, if u dont have a weaver to get u out when u go for the backlines, ur dead so fast its stupid
I must be playing support way wrong because I only counter pick to zenyatta when they have a good orisa, I should be doing that if they have a tank in general

Change the percentages on discord orb? Turn it down to 20% for dps and support characters and to 15% on tanks? Maybe? Or if the discord orb needs to be that strong then nerf his damage slightly and health by a lot. A true glass cannon.
Zen originally wasn't an issue
He provided great damage for the team but was made of glass and fell apart at close range
Now he has a melee that does crazy damage and knocks you back to his shooting range and they gave him more health
Removing the glass aspect of him and still keeping the cannon
That's the problem
I don't even think Zen's damage is the issue, but his discord orb. It's not HIS damage that gets you, but everyone else's. As soon as he puts discord on tank, it's over for them. Still, he should be allowed to have his kick boop and his discord effectiveness stay the same against other people, so he can protect himself. I would very much like for ALL negative effects to be less effective on tanks, in general.
Zens damage orb needs a cool down or a health reduction or both the few times I’ve played Tank this season feel awful cause u get orbed and melted
Ik it might be a silly question, and yes I did watch the video, but what makes Brig good? I swear I try to play her and under the smallest amount of poke, she just gets shredded. And fighting any other character it just feels like she loses most of them.

Brigs stun range is insane, its like a full character hitbox further than where her shield ends.
I haven’t really had a problem with brig (probably because I exclusively play casually) but zen is annoying at any level of play, and I will focus him whenever possible
I might be out of line here but what if they implemented a ban? Like League or Omega Strikers, just to get rid of a hero that’s OP/just too annoying, both teams pick one that neither team can play
I feel like zens discord just needs to be a timed ability, yeah you try and break line of site to get rid of discord, but if his discord could only stay on you 10 seconds anyway, and couldnt be applied again within 10 seconds, it would make discord more about combo-ing with others for plays or timing when to apply it for max value, instead of just leave it on the tank and keep them in site gg.
It would also mean if you just spammed discord you could put yourself at a disadvantage unable to discord anyone else for 10 seconds.
I'm a zen brig main and and was Plat. What I have figured out is that zen is good cause of the extra heath and bigger projectile size makes it seems like he is problem but in honesty I feel the problem is the dps passive reducing healing by 20 percent for 5 second from any damage. It makes some many hit scans so much more powerful. And with the decreased healing from that tanks feel more squishy to a zen. A fox ibfeel is that for dps passive you need the debuf to only take effect after a hero takes 25 to 50 percent of there hp. Instead of any damage what so ever.
The only tanks that feel good to play are Sigma and Ball. The problem is most people don’t play these heroes just because many think Sigma is “boring” and Ball has a ver unique and difficult skill set. Sigma is SUCH a good pick and is literally never in my games. Can be very annoying from a support’s POV as well, because the other tanks get ravaged by the dps passive to a very high degree. My advice; JUST PLAY SIGMA PLEASE!

Gold 3 support myself, I pull out zen in two very specific scenarios, against orisa and on flashpoints, because I hate playing both of those, all other scenarios I exclusively play based on the situation but never to zen
played a qp game last night- the enemy zen ended with 8k damage and 2k healing. everytime we killed him, the mercy rezzed him and the winston would drop his bubble to protect the rez. our orisa was miserable, I was miserable as ana trying to keep her up while also trying to focus zen
Disc just isn't designed for focus fire, the amp is too high for 5 people to shoot the same target.

As a Zen and Tank main I completely agree playing tank against a Zen is completely terrible tbh I think it’s why I’m also a Zen main bc instead of getting destroyed I get to do the destroying
Having a fighting chance as zen is nice but soloing a tank in 1v1 is NOT a good balancing

Remeber the patch where they were addressing burst damage? Yeah me neither.
It seems to me like the problem is still damage, because at least before once you died, the damage stopped being effective. Now it's effectiveness is spilling over into the remaining health, so that combined with dps passive it actually doesn't even feel any better.
They need to buff lifeweaver!

Zen entering Transcendence should remove Discord from targets that have it applied, honestly.

Nerf Zen, Buff Junkrat is what I'm hearing. But seriously, they should make the percentage of damage taken while Discorded on Tanks down if you want to nerf him. If Ana's Sleep can effect only Tanks less, they can do the same for Discord Orb.

Zen has no cooldowns and zero mobility. Sombra and Tracer counter him pretty hard. Maybe not at your elo, but at my elo, a good Sombra or Tracer is bothersome. If Blizzard reduces his discord damage number, then he needs to be compensated with more mobility for survivability.
I think It s more the dps passive the problem, zen s discord can be played around, but the dps passive is impossible to play around

I don't think the shield bash was what cancelled the flux.
It was the ptsd of the goats meta and that simple sight of that enlarged shield that shooketh Sigma.

60 damage melee with high knockback
Immortality ult that also help teammate
With the sole downside of having no mobility
@@Greenmansillyguy His melee does not do 60 damage, he is not tanky, and people can die through Transcendence now thanks to the DPS passive. Skill issue, not a Zen issue

I don't play zen. One of if not my least played support characters and I am a support main. I jumped on zen and drastically increased my win percentage this season.
I had someone on my team in my comp say isn’t good. Needless to say, they were wrong
Honesty at this point I would want them to remove discord and replace it with something else like a Sonic orb that allows zen and his team to see people through walls for a few seconds and give him specificly a damage buff so he still does the damage he normaly would to a discorded target just not the rest of his team.
Zen is a massive problem in the current Overwatch. I hope he’s the next character up for rework

There have been very few actually fun patches for tank in all of OW2, most of the game for us is counterswapping, and when we aren’t counterswapping against eachother, the other roles are countering us with nothing we can do against them.

Normally theres a massive gap between the silver tank experience and flats, but tank finally has all the same bullshit no matter where in the ladder you are, so that's something.
