Paladins is such a slept on hero shooter. People prefer Overwatch cause they can switch like crazy to get a W while with Paladins all you need is the right loadout build, talent and buying the right items to get the win. No matter what type of comp you run, all you need is strategy. Also, their tanks are hybrids, tanky as hell but still put out damage while the supports on the other hand, any Paladins support can out heal an Overwatch support (yeah that's my hot take comparing supports between Overwatch and Paladins) plus Paladins champions can heal you if you're on the other side of a wall
probably because they can't afford stable servers and ddos protection, on game hack forums they literally have people ddossing the entire region simply because they got upset, SEA is now being nearly 24/7 ddossed, whenever you queue you get in the selection screen for 10 seconds and you get kicked back to main menu, most my SEA friends uninstalled since it's literally unplayable

Yeah, Hi-Rez know how to make the core gameplay right: addictive and fun. That's what they always do first, that's their policy. They just know how to make a good game. Paladins has every small thing Overwatch could imagine but Overwatch took two major things, polish and marketing and it created this narrative than Paladins was a clone trying to imitate Overwatch.
I have been a Paladins players since it appeared in Switch back in 2016. I enjoyed so much i kinda took it a bit more seriously and played it on PC, that's where the real hook got me. The game has an insane amounts of customization (its less for competitive). And i just love the game, and right now there's a beta for Enemy Waves, its really meh, but making builds for competitive, casual and waves really gives the game a feeling of options.
The Enemy Waves mode has some different customizations of dificulty, solo, 3 players, and 5, they were available in different timings idk, it will have a new update to have some boss enemies like in an event of the past when Dredge was released, i think it will be more funny after it, considering that the mode will have some special attention too since it's a beta mode.
It nice that some people are giving this game a honest shot especially since Overwatch 2 isn’t doing has well. Been a player since closed Beta on consoles (PS4) then I moved to Switch then Switch version shutdowns so to keep my progress I changed to Steam and this is where I’m at now XD. This game has aged for sure and didn’t had the same polished has Overwatch but I always find the characters in Paladins more charming or charismatic (plus vibed more with the humor). This helps the game to be vibrant and still looks good because of its artistic direction. Paladins : Chads of the Realm
I really miss playing this game... I played it on Switch from 2018 to 2022 (because i don't have any other console or money to buy them) I know it was not the best plateforme, but it was the best game i played, i hope i can one day play it again somewhere else
Paladins still being a good game with a nice and fun gameplay In paladins the roles can swap like: tank can be flank A flank as healer Healer as damage A damage as a tank
It's definitely contextual on if the character has the tools to offclass, but I do love that diversity, that it's possible to play characters so different and yet still be fundamentally themselves
its nice that this review wasnt just a "play 10 games, say it was alright, leave" kind of deal. hes got to level 75 playing which is a more than fair amount of gametime to form a fair and grounded viewpoint, even if he didnt like it after that time.
I love paladins and play it a lot. My only problems with the game are Hero Balance and Matchmaking. some of the heroes are pretty powerful, while others can be quite week. Innevitable in all games, but it feels bad when you choose a weaker character into a team of the best heroes. The matchmaking is the worst issue though. A well balanced game is so much fun, but all to often you just get rolled or roll the enemy team. If they improve the matchmaking, Paladins would be my favorite FPS ever.
I recently tried it, and it has exceeded my expectations. I do think it doesn't get enough credit as a hero shooter, or as a game in general. I'm definitely going to try out more of this game.
nice vid BTW her coin ability is so usefull but you have to shoot at it to activate it and when you hit it again it deals dmg to enemies in range in it has LOS on them it can be used to snipe ppl behind cover
Back when paladins first came out the map was MASSIVE I wish theyd bring that back And with vales concord picking interest and hirez already having a moba id like to see a moba like game mode
You can actually play in it again. It's one of the arcade modes. I just played in one today. Admittedly, it's not as valid as putting them in a proper, regular mode, but that's something.
I was talking to my friends about these 2, I said name a hero in OW and I can tell you all their faults easily apart from a handful. Example people call Zen shit when he literally can melt anyone, and the problem with the game is of course the counter thing for me. Like even in casual good luck playing any hero you actually like as i've had the enemy dps switch for me and the tank when i'm on tank, you get boiled down to playing a few heros pretty much Also forgot to say some hitscans feel like shit in OW and some are just the best, I started with Cass and now I'd just play Ashe as she's just better no question. In Paladins I like Lian and Cassie is a fun projectile
I know this video is supposed to be like a review of Paladins experience with some Overwatch comparisons driven for ease of understanding. But by God, the poor Yag player around the 3rd minute. To be fair, entirely deserved deaths for trying to be a point tank on a glorified flank role. But still, as a vore worm player, I can feel the frustration of not being able to get away in time, even if it's due to one's own misplay
Been playing paladins lately and it is way funnier than Overwatch. Specially with friends. In Overwatch you are forced to a certain playstyle depending on which character you choose. In Paladins you are perfectly able to bend your playstyle depending on the situation, build and items shop. You can turn a Flank into a Support, turn a Tank into an absolute powerhouse or become absolutely immortal with the propper Support characters (looking at you, healing beam Furia)
As someone who has been playing since the very first OB, I can confidently say that Paladins, while fun, can be a dice roll. The matchmaking needs work as well as server stability, better anticheat prevention, and some characters get more content than others, but other than that it's a pretty fun and solid game.
I started to play paladins when it was i think a year or so on the Switch, and i really got into it, despite the crashes. Then when overwatch 2 came out i tried it and it was just not as much fun as paladins for me.

Always getting yelled at for not knowing every map or what bad match ups where and yelled at to change characters when I just want to play and learn a hero in casual... And just being deleted before I can react in overwatch? where's the fun in that. While in paladins I can actually live longer then half a second as a support, let alone a tank. Paladins is just more enjoyable.

I know many players who went over to OW after many years of playing Paladins. As far as I know, the big majority of them didn't last on OW and either came back or just found another game more satisfying than OW. I technically am one of those. I tried OW2 for real after being burned out by Paladins' frustrating matchmaking and frequent bots. I got into it "seriously" to understand the game proper. I didn't last long on Counterwatch. It's such a shitshow as a tank main.

One problem, is I see people taking casual play too seriously and flame teamates because they want to win instead of just playing the game and understand that sometimes you get teamates that is not as good.
My friends recently got me into Overwatch 2 after I told them I play Paladins (well, used too before Switch support ended) And my god, I can't tell you just how bare-bones OW2 felt when I started going tru the menus and characters😐 It felt as if getting ready to play Tekken or Street Fighter and when I get to the party all they have is an indie fighting game where the attacks are just A-Punch B-Jump. The kits are extremely simple, most of the moves where like a single phrase long. The ones with any kind of depth didn't even give you the whole data. The character desings are mid, and there's almost no variaty. They feel like a Power Ranger group, or as if all of their armors were designed by Iron Man sharing a unifiedstyle across the board. It's either a dude with some armor, oradude with some armor and a bow,or a girl with some armor, or a gorilla with the same armor, or a robot that looks similar to the same armor everyone else have. The only ones to have any kind of uniqueness to them are the junkyard group. I picked Orisa cuz it was the only one that caught my attention, got a pretty unique desing despite being just another robot, and the centaur body type is prettycool. The Tank+Minigun felt tangentally like Raum, which is the Frontline I used. It doesn't help that I main Vora, and there wasn't a single character like her in the game. I miss Paladins variaty 😢 No talents, no Decks, no Items, no nothing to personalize the character. But hey! You can add a microscopic keychain to your gun that does nothing and can barely be seen!!! Personalization feels nonexistant in the game. Overall it feels like just a watered down Paladins
Paladins is better than Overwatch on paper. Theres so much you can do and games feel unique but Paladins has too much bugs and runs on an outdated engine

I miss Paladins variaty 😢
No talents, no Decks, no Items, no nothing to personalize the character. But hey! You can add a microscopic keychain to your gun that does nothing and can barely be seen!!!
Personalization feels nonexistant in the game.
Overall it feels like just a watered down Paladins
Paladins is better than Overwatch on paper. Theres so much you can do and games feel unique but Paladins has too much bugs and runs on an outdated engine
your suposed to shoot the coin and then the coin shoots enemy, its a bs play style called coin spam
play both, prefer paladins
It's better than ow2 right now
Characters are far more consistent and playstyles arent just removed because of crybabies.
Paladins Master race
its not a bad game by any means, bnut i just dont play it. when ii didint have a gpu iid literally play this everyday lmao
i betrayed my og game.
Paladins was first and than blizz did what it always does - copied with a bigger budget.
throw the coin higher and shot it
Mechanically superior, functionally dogshit
4:28 huh
OW2 is so dead, players start going back to paladins now LOL
Humans always go back too the better game
u'r 5 years too late bro, our Paladins is dead
Paladins is*
Samito wannabe cause you a clone of him that how overwatch 2 fans think of paladins

Паладинс это дерьмище а не игра
