Today I get behind the wheel of the new 5th gen Ford F-250 XL with the ne 6.8L NA V8 !
Wow, these heavy duty trucks have come a long way, really impressive interiors, tech and creature conforts. Of course this one being a XLT its more basic, with cloth seats, 8" touchscheer with sync 4 and but with good amount of creature conforts. Very roomy cabin with great seats , these are definitely some great long trip trucks, of course there a bit big but if you need to take your boat, race car or work equipment cant ask for a better vehicle. The 6.8L V8 has plenty of power a smooth 10 speed trans and this one is equipped with FX4 off road package. Definitely the best heady duty truck you can get for the money.

Bought one of these in December, a 2023 F250 XL with the STX package 6.8L and 10R100 with the Crew Cab and Short Bed which is nice at 6.75FT with the 3.73 gears and its been great. Very comfortable for a work truck. For 60K I don't think you can go wrong. Payload is 3848 on my set up. It gets up and goes and think it handles quite well. Feels more comfortable then my 2019 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi. I like no displacement on demand or cylinder deactivation. I paid for a V8, I want all 8. Great truck and that STX package is worth the 5K, better headlights and appearance.

I just bought a new 2024 F-250 XL 4x4, 6.8L engine, 3.73 electric looking rear end, 5th wheel /gooseneck group, 410-amp alt. w/dual batteries, offroad and plow pkg., 285/70-17 Goodyear Duratrac tires, it's white as well. Picking it up Monday!

Everything you need and the crap you don't I just put in my order at my local Ford dealership 24 XL STX pkg and FX4 with the 7.3 Godzilla super stoaked!
I have the same truck but a 7.3 and with the supercab shortbed and 4.30 gears in and f-350 and I absolutely love it!
Nice pickup. Equipped just the way I like a truck. I especially like that you chose to show us the Supercab and not the crew cab that everyone else seems to demonstrate. I too like the smaller screen and the more conventional gauges and interior. Are the mirrors power folding at least on the passenger side? What is the gas tank size? And one final comment, I would sure like to see Ford put conventional doors and exterior door handles on the back of the Supercab models, like the other manufacturers do, of course without increasing the price. Thank you for watching! Yes I liked this configuration of F-250 specially with super cab. No, this one did not have power folding mirrors, you need to go higher trim to get those. Tank size for super cabs is 34 gallons.Yes It would be nice to just open the rear doors on these super cabs but because of design you need to open main door first to open the back ones. Would you reccomend a super cab over a single cab? I am 6' 2" and the new single cabs look really large, but i need a daily driver i can tow with. Afraid the short box wont be enough room but the cab wont be either and i really dont want a long truck like the super cab or crew cab long bed, trying to finance under 55k
Not an easy call, but at your height I would go super cab to have that extra room for comfort, specially for a daily. I have honestly not been in the new super duty with single cab to see how comfortable it is specially for us tall guys. Right now Ford dealers to what I have seen have plenty of inventory even on these heavy duties, should be able to get a pretty good deal since sales are pretty slow specially with pickups..Thank You for watching and hope you enjoy your new truck!
@petersautovlog I actually sat in one 3 hours ago. With the seat all the way back I can't even reach the pedals without sliding down the seat. That's plenty for me lol that cab is very very very roomy. Much larger then the older single cabs
@@79dent I'm 5'10". My problem is the driver's seat is too low and can't be adjusted higher. Otherwise I really like this truck with the XL Off-road package.

Instead of guessing the payload why not just check the decal inside the drivers door? So many of you reviewers do this. Makes me wonder if you actually know anything about trucks and what people use them for.
Thanks for pointing this out, to be honest I miss this decal on door sometimes, but I do look up the factory tow/payload ratings for this specific truck on Fords site and put those numbers on the screen incase Im a bit of on the numbers..I'm always trying to learn as much as I can about these trucks and their infinite ways of payloads, etc. Thanks for watching!
Deficult to understand your opinion of this truck
I really liked it, its the perfect size super duty, at least if you don't need room for 4 adults. The 6.8L V8 has plenty of power and even in this lower XL trim, I think it was well equipped. To bad that Ford does not offer the extended cab in higher trims and or with the tremor pkg. But as a daily super duty, it is more than plenty. Thank You for watching!
