- Here's the epic saga of cows vs aliens, in higher resolution and widescreen.
When I first uploaded it in 2007, youtube had a maximum video quality of 240p, and the compression looked like someone had chewed up the video and spat it out. That has always bothered me with this video, so here it is again with more pixels. I also went to the trouble of extending it to 16:9 and fixed a few bits, which was a lot more work than I anticipated.

I like to imagine that when the first aliens weren't able to clean up their mess quick enough, the second one that started glassing Earth was like their boss and just wanted a clean slate. So now the first aliens and the cows work together to survive, and then come to an understanding where cow and alien co-exist in peace.

as a kid, these movies were a huge argument for why stock footage wouldn't be a one-size-fits-all replacement for custom work. imagine the video or the music being designed _without_ it also having the music/imagery in mind during the process

I feel like not enough appreciation goes towards the music you make for these videos.
It's all excellent. You use dissonance perfectly to make the music sound as disturbing and chaotic as the videos themselves, without making it too noisy and keeping it a clean & listenable composition. Your technical skill with both video editing and music production is amazing!

The test: “what does science research do in order to create a new vaccine?”
My answer:
Science research first has a UFO come to earth millions of light years away proceed to abduct cows and rip them apart and use them as instruments. Then they grow cow-bryos inside tubes, until one of the cow-bryos suddenly malfunction and grow to unbelievable sizes and mutate rapidly. They then have a bunch of ufos come in in order to contain the sudden chaos, before having the cows assemble a giant mechacow made of buildings, in a 1v1 fight between a giant robot tripod. They then have a giant alien open a freaking door in space come out of nowhere and get crushed by the moon by said mechacow... I think I need to stop.

An observatory drone enters the earth’s atmosphere, as would start the events of the rest of the video.
It flies into a nearby farm and begins sucking up cows, trying to find a way to create a serum that would eradicate a deadly disease back home. But in doing so, it gets carried away, and begins playing the cows like music. Drums, guitars, you name it. What it failed to notice was that something was going on in the test tubes in a different corner of the drone.
One of the cows had been introduced to some sort of new, microscopic parasite that would rapidly increase muscle mass and induce swelling of many areas of the cow’s body. It soon got out of control and broke out of the drone, and released cow-like spores into the nearby city. These spores would explode upon contact with the ground, and would release an amalgamation of cow legs, a pill-like body, and an agape mouth with an eye in the middle.
The city got overrun very quickly. As the city issued a state of evacuation, one of the larger spores released a mutated version of the previous creatures, save for no eye in the mouth. It carried one of the components needed to make itself much larger, but it needed much more sustenance in order to transform. It began consuming many vehicles, and as it reached the last vehicle needed, its upper body began growing rapidly and mutating into a massive cow.
The aliens had already heard of the observatory drone’s failure, and had found out the insanity of what had been birthed from it. They had sent their military forces, and began shooting at the cow. The cow had almost perished, but before it drew its final breath, it used its ability to change the physical features on its body and changed its udders into a tuning cord. It plugged the tuning cord into one of the buildings, releasing the giant loudspeaker that would give birth to a new creature.
The cow played a tune that creates life if heard by an inanimate object. The loudspeaker was incredibly big, allowing a much larger creature to be created. as the music played, nearby buildings twisted and folded in upon themselves, creating a mecha-cow. The alien military knew their small ships wouldn’t be able to take on the metallic beast, so they opened up a portal to their home world and allowed one of their most powerful creations to come through. It was a gigantic mechanical spider, and had a powerful arsenal to its name. It poked and jabbed at the metallic cow with a gigantic fork and knife, while the cow shot at it using its super laser milk.
As they fought, the mothership appeared above the earth’s atmosphere. It began charging up its incredibly powerful laser, and shot down at the cow. Now, the only thing the two metallic beasts cared about was getting out of there alive. The cow rode the spider like a horse and they both ran from the impending laser. Suddenly, they jumped up and passed through the stratosphere, now yearning to destroy the powerful mothership. It had not detected that they were nearby, so it carried on and began drilling through the earth, seeing it as the only other way to destroy the mecha-cow. While it did that, the cow and the spider floated to the moon. They soon got close enough, and as the cow picked up the moon, the mothership knew it was done for. The cow threw the moon straight at the mothership’s core, causing the whole ship to crush into the earth, as well as the moon. The cow had done it. It had successfully eliminated the most powerful threat to its existence, as well as humanity itself. As the earth smoldered behind it, it floated endlessly through space, looking for an opponent that would be as strong as it. It still searches to this day…
