I’ll never forget discovering this music video for the first time. It was the summer of 2016 and it was my first day of a 1 week vacation and it was a 70 degree sunny June afternoon. I spent most of the morning outside and decided to spend some time in my air conditioned room for some R&R. I packed a bowl and smoked it and immediately after I went onto TH-cam and saw this in my recommended. I watched this whole video full screen with headphones on and thought it was the raddest shit ever. This was one of those small slices of life that just kind of stuck with me and it was a genuine 4 minute intense creature comfort.

You do realize their relationship is that of an owner and their pet? They don't have any sort of romantic bond, so if you want a loyal friend then sure. But considering that most people use the term relationship as in a romantic term, you ultimately will be disappointed in a "relationship" like the one the two protagonists have.

This is unironically one of the best songs ever in my opinion, the animated video and the song itself together makes it perfect, but seriously, it's about 4 or 5 years i know this song, and from time to time i always listen to it, i simply love it too much. Thank you Fever The Ghost and thank you Felix, because this is special for me and i can't feel anything other than love and admiration for it.

Beyond this video, Fever The Ghost has hardly any recognition. I feel like there is some lore in this weird world Felix has made My thoughts, if you want to hear them: The Dance is an event that occurs after an unknown amount of time. While the Dance has happened many times before, it has probably not been in a long while. The hills are surprised when it happens, and the grey masks are confused meaning the Dance doesn’t occur during the lifespans of either creature. Temples were built for the Dance, and Smudge and Long Morrison knew where to go and what to do to start the Dance, with Smudge even having a clock for the exact time of the Dance, showing both have been around for a long time and have done the ritual before. The grey masks have hats and (more) masks for the occasion, meaning their ancestors possibly told stories to them, and they are prepared for it to happen at any time, which would explain why they aren’t as scared as the hills are. There must more of Smudge’s species somewhere since he has a watch, sandwich, deck of cards, and blanket, all of which would be hard for only one person to produce. While not immediately obvious, the temple has two of Smudge’s people next to the door, and they are most certainly the same thing as Smudge due to him having the same kind of eyes, nose, and body shape. This is even more plausible due to a different house and a fence being seen at 1:05 (thanks to unregisteredhypercam 12 for pointing that out to me). However, we don’t directly see anyone else in the animation, possibly because there are very few, or he is the last one. One of the ancestors of the grey masks could be the gold masks seen in “The Elephant’s Garden,” but it is also possible the gold masks are a separate entity (the more likely option is that he just used a recolored version of them to save time, but it’s fun to find a lore reason).
I'm not sure how, but people seem to know the dude is named Smudge and the dragon is named Long Morrison. Which makes me think about a lore as well. And if you know Felix's animation Double King, he went to the trouble of naming every character, which makes me think even if there isn't a fully fleshed out lore maybe Felix has his own story in his head that he just hasn't put on paper

I’ll never forget discovering this music video for the first time. It was the summer of 2016 and it was my first day of a 1 week vacation and it was a 70 degree sunny June afternoon. I spent most of the morning outside and decided to spend some time in my air conditioned room for some R&R. I packed a bowl and smoked it and immediately after I went onto TH-cam and saw this in my recommended. I watched this whole video full screen with headphones on and thought it was the raddest shit ever. This was one of those small slices of life that just kind of stuck with me and it was a genuine 4 minute intense creature comfort.

My thoughts, if you want to hear them:
The Dance is an event that occurs after an unknown amount of time. While the Dance has happened many times before, it has probably not been in a long while. The hills are surprised when it happens, and the grey masks are confused meaning the Dance doesn’t occur during the lifespans of either creature. Temples were built for the Dance, and Smudge and Long Morrison knew where to go and what to do to start the Dance, with Smudge even having a clock for the exact time of the Dance, showing both have been around for a long time and have done the ritual before. The grey masks have hats and (more) masks for the occasion, meaning their ancestors possibly told stories to them, and they are prepared for it to happen at any time, which would explain why they aren’t as scared as the hills are.
There must more of Smudge’s species somewhere since he has a watch, sandwich, deck of cards, and blanket, all of which would be hard for only one person to produce. While not immediately obvious, the temple has two of Smudge’s people next to the door, and they are most certainly the same thing as Smudge due to him having the same kind of eyes, nose, and body shape. This is even more plausible due to a different house and a fence being seen at 1:05 (thanks to unregisteredhypercam 12 for pointing that out to me). However, we don’t directly see anyone else in the animation, possibly because there are very few, or he is the last one.
One of the ancestors of the grey masks could be the gold masks seen in “The Elephant’s Garden,” but it is also possible the gold masks are a separate entity (the more likely option is that he just used a recolored version of them to save time, but it’s fun to find a lore reason).
i choose to believe this is somehow the nameless king from dark souls' story and where he went after peacing out from the scary would of nightmare..
I'm not sure how, but people seem to know the dude is named Smudge and the dragon is named Long Morrison. Which makes me think about a lore as well. And if you know Felix's animation Double King, he went to the trouble of naming every character, which makes me think even if there isn't a fully fleshed out lore maybe Felix has his own story in his head that he just hasn't put on paper
If so, than where does "The Elephant's Garden" fit into the lore. Or what about "Man Spaghetti?"
