I heard about a large, battle scarred, tom cat that was struggling on the city streets. I wanted to help but needed to find him first.

At least Buster had a few good years being loved and cared for at the end of his life. Sadly he and countless other cats like him are victims of people not getting their cats neutered 😢 RIP wee man

Don't blame us. Blame the high cost of vet care. I am 73 and on social security and cannot afford to go to the vet. The last time I went to the vet to have a cat put to sleep it cost $400 and I'm still paying for that. If there was such a thing here as low-cost neutering I would gladly take advantage of it.
@@phillipstephens4522 I hear that. Fortunately I haven't needed a Vet in 30 years. I'm sure I'd Pass Out seeing the prices nowadays.

@@phillipstephens4522there are charities willing to help cover those costs, if you look for them. And if you can’t afford a vet, don’t get a cat.
As sad as it is that he only lived another 2 years, he knew unconditional love, a full belly, and a cozy dwelling.

It may not have seemed like much, but two years of love and affection and comfort probably made him so happy. We always wish for more, but some is better than none. This poor boy could have died on the streets never knowing that love and affection and comfort.
Tiffany, thank you for saving Buster, letting him have the chance to feel the warmth, love, safety, with you and a loving forever home. You gave this beautiful boy a remarkable gift in his last 2 years of what it is to feel loved and wanted. Rest in Peace Buster.💔😿🐾

He made his final journey over the rainbow bridge well-loved. Buster lived a life of freedom, most animals do prefer that actually. You entered his life at just the right time when he had grown old and really needed the comforts of a warm loving home. Buster passed having lived in the best of both worlds. His gratitude and love are eternal.

He looks exactly like my feral cat "Buddy". Once we got Buddy to the vet to be given shots, wormed and neutered, he was like a new cat. He went from being battle scarred and unpredictable to the sweetest kitty you could ever hope for. He has a wonderful life now. No more fighting for scraps of food, no more living in the cold and rain. It's nothing but soft beds and cat nip for Buddy these days.
Thank you so very much for giving your darling cat, Buddy, a new lease of life, love, care, warmth, nutritious food, a loving home, security and stability. May Almighty God, in HIS divine gratitude, shower you with HIS blessed and abundant blessings for all that you have done for your sweet, cute and cuddlesome Buddy. No cat or dog should ever have to live on the streets struggling to survive. This is the fault of irresponsible breeders and owners who can't be bothered to spay and neuter their pets. Thank you for giving Buddy a good home and letting him know a better life.

Oh, Tiffany, I could hear the emotion in your voice as you relayed Buster's story, and it broke my heart too. The sweet, darling boy. Thank you for helping him to at last know what love and security felt like. I'm so glad his last years were happy. I have tears streaming down my face at the loss of such a dear, loving cat. RIP, sweet Buster, and love to you, Tiffany, for transferring this poor boy's sad life xx

Without you Tiffany, Buster wouldn't have enjoyed warmth, love and play for the remainder of his life. By the end of this video there were many tears in my eyes. You do a wonderful job 👏

A former feral cat that I rescued about 12 years ago, when he was a kitten, just passed away of oral cancer. He was my best friend, my child and my constant companion. I have rescued many feral cats in my lifetime and had many, many pets from dogs to cats to birds to turtles and no pet has ever broken my heart like it has been broken since Kimba was put to sleep. To say I am absolutely devastated is a huge understatement. He was my world and I feel so empty without him in it. I can remember many times when I was lying in bed and Kimba was laying on top of me purring, that I would say to him: "Someday you are going to break my heart." I just never realized how badly he was going to break it. I knew it was going to be broken into at least a million pieces but I didn't realize it was going to be a trillion pieces. I lost him on March 12th and I feel more pain now then I did the day he died. My sense of loss is getting worse every day. He was the greatest love of my entire life. We had an incredible bond and a special connection. He saw me as his mother and often slept cuddled up next to me with his head over my heart so he could hear my heartbeat while he slept. I can't accept that he is gone.

I am so very sorry to hear about your beloved cat, Kimba. I know what it feels to have lost a pet cat who gave you all the love it could. My Fluffy mother cat suddenly left my house in Jan 2022 and not returned since. I think of Fluffy every day and deeply miss her. I adopted her when she was a baby kitten and she was with me for 3 years. I just cannot get over the thought of my Fluffy having left her home. I often pray to St. Jude to bring my beloved Fluffy Girl back to me. I miss Fluffy very much. So I can feel the pain of losing your beloved Kimba. May Almighty God comfort you with HIS soothing and consoling graces. Please thank God for having specially gifted Kimba to you, because God knew that only you would be the perfect mother for Kimba...and you undoubtedly, loved, cared and mothered Kimba with all that you had. God bless you and comfort you.
Since you very dearly loved and continue to love your beloved Kimba, please do consider authoring a book on him so that you can share all your beautiful, touching and heartrending experiences of Kimba in these past 12 years that you have had him with you. It would be a most fitting tribute of love and loss to Kimba. I am a writer and I can see that you have an admirable talent in expressing the depth of your bereavement for your beloved cat, Kimba. Please do share with us your touching experiences of Kimba. I can feel the very depth of your loss for Kimba and your words have indeed pained me. I intensely share your grief.

I enjoy writing and have also written songs with lyrics. I actually used to sing to Kimba and he would sit there staring at me lovingly as he listened to me sing to him while playing my guitar
I deeply appreciate your comment and I am touched by your empathy for my loss. Having empathy and compassion for others is a wonderful but rare quality in this world. Know that your comment touched me and I thank you for that. Your comment also took me back to another time I lost a beloved pet. He was a dog named Dexter that my brother found abandoned on the street as a 6 month old puppy. We took him in and had him for 14 years until we had to say goodbye to him due to serious health issues. It was another difficult time in my life for me. What I will never forget is the day before we had him put to sleep, to end his suffering, my brother and I took him around to all of his favorite places as a final send off. One of those places was a park near the water. As we were letting him enjoy himself a woman that lived near the park came out of her house to walk her dog. My brother had spoken to her before a few times because Dexter and her dog had been at the park at the same time in the past. Anyway, we told her we had made the difficult decision to say goodbye to Dexter and that tomorrow was the day we were going to be taking him in. I will never forget her response. She bent down and called Dexter to come to her. He slowly walked towards her and when he got close to her, she put his face in her hands and layed her face against his and held him close as tears fell from her eyes. She just knelt there for about 10 seconds holding Dexter's face against hers without saying a word as her eyes filled up with tears. It wasn't even her dog and yet she felt our pain and she felt for Dexter. As I stood there watching her cry tears filled up my eyes, as well.To me there is nothing as beautiful as compassion and empathy for others. And science has discovered that doing an act of compassion or even witnessing an act of compassion releases powerful, healing chemicals in our body. It is the way were were designed. Human beings were made to be compassionate. So, what she did that day really touched me. Your comment brought me back to that day because what you said to me also really touched me and I thank you for that. I need it. I needed it more than words could ever convey.

I should mention that I am a man but I still believe Kimba thought I was hi smother because he used to look at me just like you see.a baby look at his mother. Also he liked sleeping with his ear over my heart so he could hear my heartbeat. It was like he wanted to be back in his mother's womb so he could hear her heartbeat. He also used to gently touch my face all over with his paw as I slept in my bed at night.
Again, I am so sorry that you are going through what you are going through. I once didn't know where a cat of mine was that I rescued and I thought I would never see him again but one day, as I was sitting on my porch he showed up behind me. His name is Samson and he is now 19 years old. I hope you and Fluffy have a happy reunion someday, as well.

@@rescuecatsmanchesterchange years into hours and that's quite a gift. My rescue cat was in v poor shape and 'only' lived 19 months but that's over 14,000 hours. In that time he happily stayed indoors and was safe, loved and adored my dog and me. It broke my heart when he died, taking his last breath with his head on my hand at home, where he knew love and security.
Vet said it was the worst state of health in a cat he'd seen in all his 30yrs as a vet. But my dear sweetheart gained a stunning coat and a measure of health, but he could not be tapered off the steroid that was keeping him alive. He'd been dumped, unvaccinated, found near factories and caught everything imaginable due to not being vaccinated. RIP little man, we adored you.

Made me cry, but M'lady, you gave him love, you did a hero's work and showed Buster the unconditional love he craved and know this, His final years were past in the love and warmth of a loving family, and I am sure he now resides in Heaven an dmost likely sleeping in the arms or on the lap of a loving God. Thank you for saving Buster. Two years is a long time for a cat. Even though we all wish it could have been longer, at least the sweet boy got to live his final years in comfort knowing he was loved and cared for. My Puma lived only for another year after I adopted him thanks to his POS owner who moved and left him.

Buster was LOVED. He had a terrible life, and then was LOVED! Love is the greatest gift, because it brings in the light and bannishes the dark. Because he was loved, he was able to become the gentle, silly housecat he was meant to be. His final two years are a TRIUMPH!
